I'm really intrigued about more Alpha options, and come on Psi Judgement please please please!!!
-
I don't think the attuned IO sets will exemp below the min lvl required to slot them. If the set is normally a 25-50 set on the market you can't slot the attuned versions until 22, and don't think the set bonuses will exempt below that same threshold.
-
If you search at WW/BM and turn off autocomplete it will show the sets. Just type in the AT and it will list them all.
On a side note: in the search there are 2 versions of the sets; a regular and superior version. the superior version appears to be Purp lvls in enhancement value and set bonuses. -
Not to nitpick the OP, but Lotus drop does not do about the same dmg as Spinning strike. At combo lvl 0 Spinning strike does more dmg and at lvl 3 it does a ton more dmg.
I've really noticed a trend on the forums when comparing Street Justice powers vs. other sets, people never use the combo lvl dmg, but always the base. -
Quote:Life is unfair to people who don't have money to throw away and rewards the rich. This is just a fact of business and you can't base your business model after not allowing people with more money to pour more into your business. As much as you don't like it the idea, the focus of any business (including CoH) is to make money. My issue with this reward tree is, that people CAN get T9 VIP in one day.
This is designed for people with money. If you make an account today, buy a year of time, you'll get 12 tokens. Also, for every $15 spend on Paragon Points, you'll get a token. Meaning a new player, who pays a year time, and spends $100 on Paragon Points the 1st day he plays, will get 12+6=18 tokens. Meaning this person has more tokens than a current 2 year vet, who has 10, or 11 if he's lucky. Meaning the new player is rewarded for his money spending, while the 2 year vet who has been loyal to the game, and might not have the money to throw away at the game is left with a very bad taste in his mouth.
I really didn't mind the old reward, wait like EVERYONE else. But this new system makes me very angry.
Also, how are the new 1 year veteran badges counted?
Is it from the date you created your account? Is it time paid? it's not stated ANYWHERE. Why do people who left the game 5 years ago, came back as a premium player, have more reward tokens than the current players, and are listed as being veterans even for the time they were not online and paid.
In my honest opinion... This new system is unfair to the people who don't have the money to throw away, while it rewards the rich people.
I really don't care if someone who started yesterday has all the same stuff as I do. If it gives paragon studios the money to keep the game going and improving upon it, I'm all for it.
Let people spend all the money they want on CoH it will only help all of us in the long run. -
Once they bring the servers back up you can just pick a server and back out and it will bring the servers you can't get access to up the list so you can click them.
It's a pain but you can get to them. -
Thanks everyone!!!
I really hope that cake is just as tasty when it's GenericCake1003570123950191 -

I think the current "crashing" nukes are pretty useless on Corruptors/Defenders. They drop your toggles (buffs, debuffs) and without finding a way to recover your end you can't provide any support for some time. I would be in total support of those version of the nukes being given the Fortunata treatment of Psychic Wail. I really find it to be counter-productive for a tier 9 power to hamstring all the other power choices that make up an AT. It really feels like how MoG used to be, when it was up, it made the rest of regen useless rather than synergizing with it.
Now on blasters I think this is less of an issue since with the higher damage mod, dmg cap and BU+Aim the nukes are at their peak. Also, a blasters main focus is to deal damage, so the crash doesn't have the same potential to hurt a team like it does on the support ATs.
Even though it's less of an issue for blaster, I still think the current state of the game doesn't favor the old nukes. I think the Devs understand this by the changes to their design philosophy. If you aren't making new sets with "crashing" nukes ,because you understand they aren't efficient, then it only makes sense that the old ones are due for a re-design. -
Since today's patch, on 2 separate instanced missions my global channels disappeared from my chat. I can't chat on them, see them, assign them to a tab, or rejoin them. They don't show as an option on my friends menu either. As soon as I leave the mission they immediately show back up in my tabs and are usable again. This happened exactly the same on both missions.
Anyone having this problem? -
The AoE on that PBAoE from time is a 25' radius so it can be used from somewhat of a distance and not quite be in melee.
I'm not sure how one PBAoE debuff makes a set mostly melee?? -
-Dmg is resisted by any resistances the target has and it goes by individual types of dmg. So if an enemy has 20% cold resistance and you apply -cold dmg to the target it will only be 80% effective.

Quote:AT mods don't affect powers across the board with every power, instead the mods are set for each type of buff, debuff, heals, ect ect....Well, one thing we know is that MM Thermal actually uses Corruptor level resistance but the debuffs and damage buffs are lower.
This strikes me as very strange because they broke some rules (MM is supposed to support "less"). I wish they could broken some rules for Trick Arrows as well. That set's debuff value is so freaking low. They could have increased the -damage and -tohit part.
This allows tanks to have the highest values for personal resistances and defense, but low values for team buffs so they don't step on support classes toes.
MM have lower values than corruptors when it comes to heals, -to hit, -def, -dmg and a few others, but share the same values for +res, +def, and -res. -
Quote:It's not the -to hit that makes /dark effective against AVs it's the -dmg stacked with the -res and big heals that keeps your pets alive.AV's heavily resist to-hit debuffing though. So I'd think /dark looses out there. For soloing AV/GM type enemies /poison is NASTY good. Heck, nox gas can actually proc it's hold on most EB and AV that I've seen. Assuming the pet survives long enough in melee. I've not tried soloing an AV with it, but ninja/poison was crazy good at handling elite boss versions of every AV I fought. Maybe not always effortless, but crazy good at it.
Don't forget demon summoning either. As others have mentioned, they are rather nice. Plenty of -resist debuffing going on. And one of the tier 2 pets gets a single target AND aoe heal. They are sturdy, with a good mix of damage types. Pair demons with thermal, and you have even harder to hurt demons. Pair it with FF and they can handle themselves just fine with only one hench for healing. Pair it with /poison and you get some spot healing with strong 'hard target' debuffing.
That, and the whip attacks are just plain fun. -
My Demons/Dark has soloed every GM/AV I've come across (including Lusca). Its the most powerful MM I have, and I have many.
-
Pet resistance caps are 90% and you didn't figure in the 2 pets +10% resistance IOs so they can easily reach the cap, however pets have so little health that capped resistance isn't like it is on a Tank or Brute.
My demons had capped resistance on a BAF the other night and Siege still one shotted all but the Prince with one AoE.
Demons/Sonic will def be the best combos for /sonic. -
Sorry I completely spaced and forgot I have to run my stepdaughter back home Sat, so I won't be able to make the Matinee. It figures the one week I remember to sign up and I end up not being able to attend
Happy hunting everyone. -
I'll bring my Fire/Dark corruptor (who should be 50 and alpha slotted by then barring any unforseen delays)
Wyldstrike: 50 fire/dark corruptor -
The set will be unlocked via Paragon Points and cost 800pts (beta cost atm). VIPs get 400 points a month so by the time i21 drops VIPs will be able to get the set without putting up extra cash.

I'm his cousin and I have no idea what he's talking about O.o?????

I remember a thread awhile back showing that the spiderlings did more damage than fire imps with comparable survivability. Would you drop them on a fire dom/troller?
