I think Levitate has more utility on a controller than on a dom, who have already got the extra damage source covered. A PB'ed Mesmerize inside Dom could last for around 3 1/2 minutes, which is pretty ridiculous. You could use it to cool off an EB or AV for a least a minute or so in cases where the team is fighting multiples.

Also, even though I don't like the look of the mallets, they're such a great damage source that I wouldn't consider skipping them. You'll already be closing in to use Fissure.

Having doubts about the solo farming ability of Mind... Can anyone point me in the direction of an equation to figure out the lowest charge I can get on a power with base 240s? Mass Confusion is Vidal to my cause, and the lowest I've got it is 56s with 280% recharge.

Edit: With 475% recharge, I was able to get the charge down to 40s which is doable, still a bit slow.... can a toon get 475% recharge, or is there a cap?

It looks like you've added damage procs to Mass Confusion and Confuse. In my experience, this will alert the enemy and cause it to attack you. One of the best aspects of Mind Control, to me, is the ability to avoid detection while using these powers. Can you explain why you slotted the powers in this way? Also, I don't understand why you decided to move Confuse from level 6 to level 22.

It looks like there is no endurance reduction in Tough. I can't open the build to be sure, but I would guess that puts me at -.33 end/sec from that power alone. Add together with Manuevers, Tactics, Weave, Combat Jumping, and World of Confusion, the endurance drain is pretty heavy, unless the intent is that I don't run some of them.

Can you also explain why you dropped powers to pick up World of Confusion, and slotted the purple confuse set there instead of in Confuse?

    Thanks for the help.
Just saw your post, ok I guess a little explanation is in order.

About the confuse powers, in mass confusion, the proc in there will not cause aggro since it's a proc that placates you.

Confuse is nice, but not really useful in lower lvls, and to be honest, I just put it in there to fill the def gap I had, you can use it if you want.

The end drain with all going except SS, with you shouldn't have going in battle anyway, is only 1.01/sec so not bad at all. Tough is a nice power, but you are soft capped plus all your control you'll be getting hit at min once every mish, assuming you play at +2/x2 or higher.

P.S. I changed my mids so that it only puts out only the data chuck.
  7. I think we all can agree Mind/ anything is 133t.

Ok, just so I don't waste this thread, is mesmerize worth getting, I may replace one of the stealth powers.
  9. It's amazing to me at the amount of people not upset about this.... and Indeed it will make the game a lot easier low level and high level. Most of you people were complaining about the game be too easy as is... I guess some people well always be the devs lap dog. I personally, am happy with stamina as is and was going to remove it from my Dom build anyway , if it needed it, but making stamina inherit is irrelevant to my build, and this is by far a gifted horse. The only way it'd be a gifted horse as if they are putting in more pools to replace it and slots or maybe they are finally going to add some high lvl only power pools.
  10. lol elec/earth and never look back. oh and not using Conductive would be like not using enhancements.

I changed a lot of slotting around and when you got a couple of your powers, then removed fitness since in i19 it will become inherent.

People are saying this request is unlikely to happen, because as much freedom as the devs like us to have when making a character, they don't like us straying too far from the intended theme of the set. Why do you think our power customization colors are limited on any power that has anything to do with ice or earth?
But of course you have to have some level of sense and belief. I'm clearly stating that anything can be made into sense assuming you have a meaningful cause. ;D Not actually posting on the op: But the devs time is unlimited and only so much can be done at a time.
  15. Out with the old in with the new! Option 1 please.
  16. Broken Voltage

    Time bomb

I just haven't been about to use it effectively enough, and makes soloing painfully slow. Something needs to be done for sure.
  17. Surprisingly enough, I'd say the funniest set is the one you find fun, so maybe just try what looks fun and go from there. Now it seems your looking for a toon that is fun, and can do amazing things when in practice. So my suggestion goes to either Dominators or Controllers. If you don't like loads of control with damage second. I would suggest Scrappers as another. As for exact combos to start out with I'd say something like these.

#1) FOTM- Fire/kin/stone Controller. Now not sure how you are about having a toon just about everyone has made, but easy place to start.

#2) Second FOTM- Elec/Shield/? Scrapper. Not real good to start out with, you need close to soft cap to be ok, and decent recharge.

#3) Fire/psi/fire Dominator. I've heard nothing but good things, and easy to use.

#4) And my fav Mind/Stone/Psi Dominator. Right away easy to solo with plenty of control and plenty of integration.

Edit: Welcome to the game, and hope you find your place.
  18. Nerd rage is cool? You know the thing I like about "make believe" is there, no one is *****ing about something not "making sense" or "not the way things work." In my imagination, anything is possible and anything can happen. I think there is a reason why the devs decide some things and why they leave somethings up to us..... XD

You can keep you ugly ice armor spaceman, and I'll sit here with my ice armor that floats around me like planets around a sun, seemingly making attempts at trying to save me from hurtful attacks. Or perhaps my fire armor that only "Flares up" when something attempts to penetrate it, being flared up all the time would drain my body, and cause me to not have the energy to fight, now fighting when weaker than an 8o year old normal man doesn't make since... Unless the more you are drained infects a negative effect on you and actually makes you stronger... Make believe is FUN!
  19. Haven't hit 32 yet, but I hope my opinion isn't the same, I'll be respecing for something a little more useful then.... >_>
  20. Broken Voltage

    I19 Wish List??

More power customization, like more animations for things like DP, and other sets that don't have more animations. Also more coloration and a fader for the pool powers and epics. And God yes no more nerfs... I see a lot of powers getting the hammer really soon, with the devs blaming it on "Balance" like they did with Shield Charge. Excuse me but my DM/SD was no more uber with SC that way it "Was" then. Don't know if I want to solo with him anymore, not having a power that barely "Arrests" minions.

You could go L-R-R-R-L or L-L-L-L-L or R-R-R-R-R or R-L-R-L-R. The only thing that will not work is U-U-D-D-L-R-L-R-A-B.
Should I bug that then? Cause that badge has reset and now says only 1, when I clearly have made 3 choices?
  22. Cool thanks, this has been most useful. Got to resistence and working on the 5 in a row badge.
  23. Ok, restarted a toon, and stop exp at 9, but didn't get any of the contacts in Nova that give Morality mishes, I must not have talked to Provost at 4 cause I only got Imperial contacts. Anyone know who gives morality mishes in Imperial?
  24. Well, just tried my hand at Elec/stone. to be honest it's a beast in team play, but solo without the sleep Targeted, I'm getting rolled a lot and I play real defencively too.
