i have made my own elec/fire build and im wondering where to put armageddon?
im thinking a 5 slot in either Lightning Rod, or Thunderstrike...i figure that thunderstrike has a 3-5sec recharge in the end and i can use it more. and Lightning rod has a 20-25 sec recharge and does more damage. both have a force feedback chance for recharge.
i thought about splitting it up and putting 3 and 3 but that would take away from the 10% enhance recharge...
or am i in the wrong place completely? burn? blazing aura? -
hey everyone. its my first attempt at making a elec/fire brute. i have a tanker who can farm very well and at the same time go out into the pve world and still do fine. can this build work for the same?
I picked the musculature Alpha to go with it.
any tips/ advice would work well. please just dont tell me to make another build with different powers.

What is the damage cap btw? and this seems to be like a good topic to discuss.
so from my understanding, FE adds around 45% ADDITIONAL damage to all my abilities? so if LR does 300 damage lets say, then FE will add about an additional 135 damage afterwords?
and does this mean that FE adds the same amount of damage to all attacks? does it give fire attacks a bigger bonus? or is it just the same. like 45%. -
i know that in the power description, Fiery Aura's Fiery Embrace says that it increases the fire damage you do and also increases all other damage you do slightly.
however, when i check the numbers on Mid's it doesn't specify how much it increases the other powers. if at all.
i ran some things and mid's says that electric melee's Lightning Rod does LESS damage when Fiery Embrace is active than when it isn't.
is this just a bug in mid's? something they missed? or is there some other reason that im not realizing why it lowers the damage of LR? -
well i guess what i am asking is. i know/have seen that a SS/Fire brute can do a complete clear cyborgs +4x8 in 5-7 minutes. i dont really see elec/fire brutes though. in my eyes, there shouldnt be any reason as to why elec couldnt be up there as well. SS has FS which is comparable to elec's Thunderstrike. it has knockout blow as well which is great for getting rid of boss's, but elec's LR does just as much dmg, and even though it has a recharge time of about 3-4x as long, it also hits ALL targets in the area, and not just one.
im not so much here to debate which is better, but to make a elec build that can do cyborgs on max settings in the same or close to the same amount of time.
does this build do it? what can be improved? and as stated before. what epic power pool and aplha slot should be taken?
*and just a side note, where as FS is cool and all. moves like LR and SC and those MASSIVE AOE no limit on # of targets moves are kick *** * -
i had just finish making my tanker and slotted him for farming and was not very pleased with him. he gets the job done. but i see elite people who can get like a +4x8 cyborgs run done in 5-6 mins. and i notice they are brutes, so i decided to make one for myself. now the goal for this character is to run cyborgs on max settings and get runs done very fast. i went with the musculature alpha and the energy mastery epic power pool.
if there are any tips please tell me. i am not so sure how to slot this toon resistance wise, because its much easier as a tanker. and im also not sure as to which aplha and epic pool would be the best. cardio for end reduction and added resistance? with pyre mastery for fireball(don't know how that'd fit into build.) or should i go musculature for all around more damage, and energy mastery to make up for the endurance.( i did this in the build now, but i feel like i have TOO much end recovery. like ill have near unlimited endurance and consume will be useless to me.)
and if your going to tell me to be SS/Fire. please explain to me Why its better? i mean to be a farmer u wanna survive and do great aoe dmg. elec has more of that than SS..... how does rage work? i dont understand the whole concept of it INCLUDING the crashing. when do i stop attacking?...... and if your going to tell me to do that. please include a SS/Fire farmer build. so i can work off of it.

I have a few toons, that are really good, and are my own build, but i used MULTIPLE builds off forums to get a good idea as to how to make my own and used them as like a springboard.
this is the first toon where ive completely make it myself. the entire thing.
the goal is to be a fire farmer. a speed fire farmer, not so much for PL'ing but for ticket farming. Creys Fire Cyborgs.
can this build work? well? im not looking for purples, because im poor as is and this already is expensive as all hell with javelins and the gamblers recharge speeds.
any input helps, good or bad, and all help would be extremely appreciated.
P.S. - even though its not for PL'ing and is not a necessity for it, Could it be done? with a full group of lowbies at +3x8?

Hi everybody. i do not like the villain side very much, but i wanted to make a spider. so what i want to know is, how do i get mace mastery for him? if i make him a hero by doing the tips and alignment/morality mish's, can i still get mace mastery? or do i have to get mace mastery before i switch sides? if that is the case, when can i get it? and if i start the pool, then switch sides, can i continue to select powers from that pool on the hero side?

hey everyone. i like my costumes to not only look good, but to flaunt accomplishments and unlocked items. i have a sword and board scrapper,
one costume has the nictus sword and shield, one has the rularuu sword and shield, and one has the vanguard sword and shield
i have unlocked all shields except for Blue steel ( not even sure if you can get that )
and i have unlocked all broadswords except for the organic (mutant pack) and thorn blade.
id like to flaunt off the rikti blade, but the colors of it make it difficult to make a costume and shield match that look good with it.
can someone make a costume and upload it? so i can some ideas and what not? -
Thanks a lot, can you/do you use that build for farming at all? its a lot of help. but like said in my original post, im definitely going to change it up, JUST a bit, here and there, to make it more "me" and my playstyle. hope it doesnt offend...

I seriously suck at making any sort of build. i am very good however, at taking a build, tweaking it here and there, and making it mine.
i want a Fire aura / ice melee / pyre master tanker. the goal of this toon is to be a AoE beast. to be able to take HUGE amounts of damage. and kill the huge mobs quickly. (well relatively quickly, considering its a tanker.)
i want him to be a good farmer, but at the same time, i would like to be able to take him out into the PvE world for some fun as well.
If a build could be made on the cheaper side, it'd be great! or one that is kind of in the middle. or even better 2 builds!, one on the cheaper side, so i can farm and get more money, then one on the best, expensive side, so i can get it after i farm.
what incarnate should i take too, damage? recharge? acc? recovery?
I will love anybody who helps me out, and you are a saint. seriously, your helping a lot. i figured id post it because i know some people like to make builds, and would hope that someone would like making this one. i personally enjoy planning out characters, not so much in this game, but in others.

well the key to this all is to be able to take massive damage. and not die. thats first priority. THEN, to have GOOD damage, to kill everything. even tho i don't think ill use it for farming, i might! but i have a feeling farmers are BEST at this. big mobs, with lt's and boss's, and killing them all.
anybody have a mid hero's build they could post? -
Just wondering if there are any good aoe dmg tank build, just like the title says. something that can take the damage of huge mobs, and still kill them. maybe a farmer build? not sure.... but id like to use it more for pve. does ice / fire still work with ice patch, blazing aura, and consume? or something else all together? if someone could post a build it'd be lovely!

What I would do: Run lots of tip missions to get Hero Merits (provided you have Going Rogue). Use the Hero Merits to get the extremely pricey items, like LotG +Recharges and the Numina's and Miracle uniques.
You also might get a purple drop too, which will potentially double your funds.
as for hero merits. you can only get one every 2 days right? 5 tips a day, to get the moral mish to get 1 merit right?
and how can i tell what is a purple or not. like, what makes it different? -
thanks, you've helped a LOT. im definitely using most of your advice, but am keeping some of my own, just to keep it personalized. now my only concern is how much these changes will cost me total., I have about 400m. and dunno if different servers have different consignment house prices. i have a feeling im going to have to find some sorta way to raise money. any help? on freedom btw

this is going to be the first toon that ive ever put sets into
about how much would this build would cost me?
can i start this build even tho im level 47?, considering you can use so's within 4 levels of the level on the enchancement
can the kismet , energy manipulator, and mircale sets still be used even tho they are a lower level enhancement? will i still get the set bonus and each individual bonus?
i made all of this on mid'heros so im not sure... and id prefer not to spend a lot of money for it to not work... -

I want to make a speedy toon, and i figured that claws/sr would do it. hasten + quickness + speed of claws in general. i just had a few questions for you vets out there.
1) is it going to work? will it make good damage? (if so good single target or aoe dmg. or all around ok?)
2) which AT would it work best with?, Brute, Scrapper, or Stalker? i figured brute would be best because of the speed of the build, so fury would stay high, but im not sure.
3) i am looking for a toon for DAMAGE. but at the same time, i dont want to be hit once, and go down. anyone have any builds or helpful suggestions?
