With the release of April's Issue 17: Dark Mirror, the newest free update of City of Heroes®, the game you love now has the visual depth, contrast, and richness it deserves! Dark Mirror includes a superior graphics rendering process, dubbed "Ultra Mode," that gives City of Heroes a heightened level of detail in lighting, reflections, shadows, and water effects. Paragon City™ and the Rogue Isles™ have never looked better.

Good luck to those of you who picked a day in April

Lord knows there are a ton of them:

Sending a Shout Out to ALL my non-forumite Homies:

you are my heroes, your the wind beneath my wings, you make me fly higher then an eagle
  9. not so much playstyles....I can deal with the knockback, with the constant green flow, with the fool BLANKER.

what really really ticks me off is after spending upteen minutes putting a team together for a TF/SF there is ALWAYS one PENDEJO who will quit because the team doesn't have what they consider to be the perfect team makeup and the TF/SF is undoable because of it.

Also like most of us here, we've been around for quite sometime I really hate when some numbers crunching buttmunch tries to tell me what's the best way for me to play/build MY toon. I mean jeeeeezus you build/play your toons the way you want and i'll build/play mine my way.

    Rican..........
  10. my Mother-in-Law one shotted Dr. Destroyer and then all the Mega-Destructoids ran away when they saw her coming for them......
  11. I too did the Beta and honeslty I had fun..........
It was to say the least a break from the constant LFAEPLT!!!!

The travel powers were cool at lower levels and the SJ animation is cooler
then CoX's ( only travel power I like animation wise ). It does have that
cheesy WoW fighting effect where you click an attack, sit back and watch but....

the other powers that you can charge for greater damage by holding down the number key associated with the power or the mouse button is kind of cool.

the zones are kinda nice looking but then again it's 5yrs after CoH.

Like Vega said it is not a replacement for our beloved CoX but s decent
    filler from time to time.

Is the lifetime worth it though? well I look at it like this, if it happens to last as long as
CoX has, that's assuming the monthly scrpit is 15.00 your looking at $900.00 for 5yrs
vs $200.00. So do you get it, pay the monthly sub and let it expire only to re-new it everytime you get an itch or pay the 200 and never worry about it again.

    Finally..........MAN I MISS HG:L

I always thought Duke and Scarlet had a litlle something-something goin on in the hangar bay myself.

Overall not a bad movie...not great bit like BB said it's an intro so yeah I think the sequal might have a bit more to offer.

as reported on msnbc.com movie news/reviews:

    Quote:
"`G.I. Joe' is a big, fun, summer event movie — one that we've seen audiences enjoy everywhere from Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland to Phoenix, Ariz.," said Rob Moore, vice chairman of Paramount Pictures. "After the chasm we experienced with `Transformers 2' between the response of audiences and critics, we chose to forgo opening-day print and broadcast reviews as a strategy to promote `G.I. Joe.' We want audiences to define this film."
    this too:

    Quote:
Devin Faraci from the film Web site CHUD.com is one of the few writers who have seen it for review purposes, and not just for junket interviews. He's among the critics who've contributed to the movie's 88-percent positive rating as tabulated by Rotten Tomatoes, saying: "If I was 10 years old, `G.I. Joe' would be one of the best movies I had ever seen."
    Faraci also says:

    Quote:
"It's silly. It's a film that plays on its own terms," he said. "I don't think reviews will kill it but I think it'll get a more positive response than they expect. It's a big, silly, pulpy, cartoony action film and it makes no apologies for being that way."
i'm not one for critic reviews, but i'm still taking both my sons Saturday to see it.
If nothing else we get to munch on awsome movie theatre popcorn,Nachos and one of the only times I let them chug a big ole 44ounce pepsi.
