They introduce yet another temp power that requires everyone to announce "Don't cross the streams!!" every time they use it.
-
Well, it looks like all I managed to do was screw up my CoH files.
-
Does anyone know how to do this from a Window 7 computer? I'm guessing that the search at the bottom of the start menu is the same thing as run, but I'm having difficulty getting the game to actually run from my computer with that file. (I'm using a USB flash drive).

Here's what I've got...

Quote:Thx for all the feedback. I put the Blood Mandate in for the +def, I figured since I already have a good amount of rech, plus I'm going for Spiritual, I could spare it. I don't currently have access to any of that either, so I'll have to take a look at Mids later tonight.I don't currently have access to Mids, so I can't check your numbers.
Superior Invis is an Endurance Hog, so unless you are not going to use it, it needs to be slotted for EndRdx. And I have an easy solution -- move 5 slots from Ling Rad (where you are getting 3.something% Recharge) and slot 5 Red Fortune in Superior Invis for 5% Recharge. Together with the LotG Recharge, that's 12.5% recharge in that power.
Ling Rad works fine with a single Accuracy as long as you have some global accuracy and plenty of global recharge. Plus, the Spiritual tree has Slow, so you don't need to enhance the Slow.
I would get another slot into Blind, for an Acc/Dam Hami-O. Blind is used so often that the damage adds up. You could take one from Spectral Terror or the Travel from Recall Friend (but lose a little ranged defense). I would also put another slot for EndMod in Stamina -- you may have endurance issues.
In Scorpion Shield, you could trade the second -Knockback for a Luck of the Gambler Defense. That second -Knockback has only a few times when it really helps. If you replace the Acc/Dam/Rech with a pure Dam/Rech, you'll cap Damage and Rech.
Do you want Blood Mandate in the Tarantula? Don't you want Recharge? I don't know since I have never had it. -
Quote:That's what I remember moving around on me, the windows! Thanks much!I'm pretty sure the actual settings are local to the machine (registry entries most likely), as I've played on one of my older low-end machines where graphics have to be set to minimums and then went back to my high-end machine with full ultra-mode and didn't need to reset anything between them.
However, I do know that the position of all of your toolbars and windows are stored server side. The low-end machine is on a much smaller monitor than the high-end machine and I have to move all the toolbars/windows around each time I swap between machines. -
That's pretty cool...maybe I'll try it out at the computer center at my college :-)
Quick question....does changing the graphics settings for the flash drive effect the graphics settings on my home computer (i.e. would I have to fix it everytime I logged back on the seperate system), or would it be saved to the device itself? -
This. If they didn't set the timer as they did, you would see merit farmers stocking up, then flooding WW/BM with the more expensive IOs. Which would mean less at any given time, sending prices up, then a bunch showing up at once at the higher prices.

Here's my newly revised version. Still room for revision, but isn't there always?

I just checked, and AM was on, so that is part of my 143.8%
Looking at my build, I could actually drop one rech IO from hasten, grab Spiritual (very rare is necessary here), and I'd still have the 275% total recharge necessary to get perma hasten. Interesting :-) -
LM, I was just looking at your part in the guide that talks about the Alpha slot, and you have written that Spiritual enhances ToHit Debuff....according to the GR site, Spiritual enhances ToHit Buff while only Musculature enhances ToHit Debuff. (As far as I can tell, no two Alphas enhance any of the the same things.)
-
Quote:All good points. I think I'll try it out with Mace, and change it if need be (I have 2 vetspecs left, plus one coming in a month or so, so I'm not worried about that). I'm not at my home computer right now, so I'm not sure if AM was included in that rech, but I thought it wasn't. Could be wrong. If I already have enough for perma-PA, I think I'll go for a different Alpha....gotta look into that a little more.To get perma-PA, you need 203% or more total global Recharge. 30% of that comes from AM, and 70% comes from Hasten. I assume that your 143.8% includes AM, so adding Hasten's 70% gives you 213.8%, or well past the amount you need for Perma-PA. (With the Spiritual tier 3 boost, my current Recharge is 216%, but I don't have all those purple sets in my build.)
Several people have expressed an interest in getting the Mace PPP for the extra pet. However, you are giving up that fast-recharging single target blast that makes the Blind-SW-Blast-SW attack chain so effective.
Comparing Fire APP to Mace PPP, Mace has Poisonous Ray, a single target blast with some -Resistance, but the recharge is 24 seconds compared to 8 for Fire Blast -- even with all the global recharge in this build, you still can't get a nice attack chain. Fireball is a great AoE, so those are pretty much equal. The Mace Shield is Defense rather than resistance, which is generally better . . . but if that is a significant factor, you can get a defense-based shield in the Ice APP AND a fast single-target blast. Fire offers Rise of the Phoenix, which is a pretty fun power to have but you hope you don't have to use it, while Mace has the extra pet.
If your playstyle is to be more of a pet wrangler and less of a blaster, then I can certainly see going with Mace. But I rely too much on my fast Attack Chain, and changing to Mace would reduce my overall damage.
Edit: I just looked, and I might just go for Musculature. -
Thanks for the tips, LM. I used most of your tips, though I think I'ma go for Mace Mastery, since that also gives me an extra pet, an AoE attack, and a shield power (which then takes another 7.5% rech). Now I'm just trying to figure out how best to slot these powers.
Also, is 143.8% global rech (plus hasten's 70%) enough to get perma-PA? Or do I need to grab the Spiritual Alpha to round it off? -
I was wondering, do the enhancements gained from set bonuses also get enhanced by the Alpha slot, or does that just apply to the powers themselves?
-
Here's what I have so far. Focusing mainly on rech, with some def (mainly ranged) mixed in. Also focusing a little on Rec, so I don't have to get the Cardiac Alpha.
Oh, and I just switched the enhancements from Flash to Gladiator's Net, minus the proc.

Has anyone determined whether the BU proc in PA is worth it or not? Also, does anyone have a solid percentage needed in order to attain perma PA? I'm working on a build of my own (taken from LMs mids build, then adjusted to fit my personal wants/needs), hoping to get a solid idea of what I need.

Lol, DJ, I could watch your avatar all day long.

This looks pretty cool. I'm hoping they'll do some more weapon/power customization so that our claws toons will be able to use their talons.

Quote:C: shivans, HVAS and RV heavies are almost a must to get the dps you need to drop them
D: they tend to spawn in groups and most of the time will chain aggro so you end up dealing with all of them instead of just one
When I was going for these badges, I would just send out in my server-specific global channels that I was looking to take down RV heroes/villains. Sometimes I would get good response, sometimes not so much. All you need is a relatively well rounded team....tanker, buffs, debuffs, dmg.
As to (C), pets are a big help, but not a necessity so long as you have a full team with at least one of each listed above. Pulling IS a big part, though that can be a pain sometimes.
Something that I found to be very useful are the drones....have one person pull whichever AV you don't want to fight to your side's drones, and they disappear. At the same time, have someone else give the other AV a runaround.
The thing that makes this the most difficult is rival side pvpers....they can ruin your attempt if they decide to jump you when the AV is almost down, but with a full team, 1 or 2 pvpers can be put down quickly and you can go back to killing the AV without much more trouble than a speed bump. -
On Justice I have seen several formed/run, but it's usually late at night, taking up to 2 hours to form. I think the specific requirements to run it are what keep the others to be run instead. More of a "because we can do this instead" than an "I don't want to".
Also, the CoP former(s) can be pretty nitpicky sometimes as to the team makeup, which tends to drive some away from trying it. -
Not quite....you need to have completed the incarnate arc in order to RUN the tf,a s well as Apex. However, if you have not SLOTTED the alpha slot, then you run with a -4 lvl shift. Which puts you at -8 to the enemy, since they run at lvl 54.
