Hehe, just remembered the one time when entered the listed event and we ended up in the pve mish of a duoing troller team
And indeed, pvp at lvl 5 was more fun then i expected.
Also i'm really in favour for test server so we can make a few extra builds for fun. Next week pocket D on test? -
Yes, it's true what he says. Thanks for saving me typing all that arch
And SS for that matter is very nice too. Stacks to invis with steamy mist -

Uhm... i reeally like Ice/Storm troller, its probably the one with the best control at all
[/ QUOTE ] Earth/storm still the best
And okty, you stole my words!... sort of -

It's quite good fun against embalmed vahzilok too
[/ QUOTE ]
Hehe
Deceive just rocks. period. -
Way too many questions flush...
But:
1. Here is the link to best planner available afaik
2. if you are a truly a born healer, go play /thermal for a villain, not a kin. even more so an emp/ def on heroes. As a matter of fact a true healer doesn't exist on here. It's the buffing that makes it the merry go round
3. xp depends on (team) skills, team set up, lvl of you, teammembers (and lackeys), and not unimportant quality of the teamleader. Brutes can solo very well, support toons need teams to get good xp/time and can add a lot to this. But apart from all this fun should be most important imo, not fast xp.
4. skip flares and repel and the presence pool has a very nice unsuspected useful surprise for you...
5. plz try to make less aggressively and more concise postsyou'll get better response worth your money
Have fun! -

I go to RV for PvP and any thing which could be fun. Never for xp as i just think farming pillboxes takes too long and is tedious. I'll take control of the zone but only if there are villains around or i want the temp power.

soooo true... -
Ill be popping in with my ice/cold cor if he can be exemed. Sounds like fun. Wish i had slots on union left to make a few other toons for this- i'm not gonna get a 2nd account...
Maybe move to test to be able to use other servers as well? -
It's not that bad damage wise. Especially when you can take good position for the cones to hit as many as possible for some decent multiple DoT damage.
It is a smooth set to play with good utility and great synergy with /rad, /dark and /cold for some exceptional (de)buffing. Just don't expect to be a damage monster. If you want that play fire/ or sonic/
But all in all nothing wrong really with dark blast. -

Don't waste too many slots on Psychic Scream - it's damage is [censored].
Fully slot Wormhole earlier, especially with RECS and ACCS.

Talking about waste: don't waste that much time on the boards and get your [censored] in gear in game: us villains miss you! -

What's photon torpedo??? -
I could reply and suggest some some other good combo's... but i'll stick to the 2 you've mentioned to KISS as possible
Ditch the energy/ cor. energy isn't good. You and even more so the team most of times will hate all the KB-admittedly handy at times, but generally more of a nuisance-, especially when you're /rad and you want mobs to stay in you debuff toggle area's. The dam is nothing fancy and other primaries have way better debuffs as secondary powers.
/Rad is jack of all trades and good in many. It combines very nice with ice/ and sonic/, but arguments for other primaries could be made as well. They will both be great in team as well as solo. As far as endurance goes /Rad has AM what really helps with your and your teams endurance issues. (slot 3 rechg/3 Endmod asap)
Dark/ combines very good with /rad too as the tentacles are golden with your toggles and all the stacked -accu works a treat.
But you have that nice dark/dark already which im coming to now...
As far for the Dark/dark. It's great in all aspects. Learn to love and so will your teamiesThis one also will be great in team as well as solo. End use is very manageable. Damage output not that big- although the many DoT works well with scourge for extra dam, but it's a very safe toon with the massive -accu and tricks up his sleeve. It has a very controlly feel and can make the team last really longer. If you like that, this is your toon!
Enjoy! -
Ill/Rad is a good pick providing for safe&fast soloing.
Consider Mind/Rad or Fire/Rad as well. Fire/rad can outdamage the others and offers more (hard) control then Illusion. Mind/Rad offers best control of all with less chaos and with good damage as well. No pet in Mind, but MC is a great tool making for safe play with easy kills --> herd with RI then confuse them all. Follow up with the rest of your attack chain.
Totally different plastyle as the latter two require more active work from yourself instead of the lazy 'fire and forget' illusion with PA, Spec Ter, Phant. SI and confuse excellent solo tools though
All are sweet and succomb to personal preference.And oh, forget about med and fight pool, a troller has better things to do.
P.S. this thread has derailed from 'worst powerset combo' to best solo troller. Stop it here & now -
AFAIK Electric armour gets status prot. at lvl 10... So he could have had it. Quite n00bish to fight any domi without it
Still happy for you and good you are enjoying domi's so much. It's great playing -
Awww, RL made me miss it. Big gratz another 50 okt!! Keep them trollers rolling

Hey Claire,
Fire/dark is awesome!And the guide Marquand linked too is a pretty nice one.
I put some suggestions for the slotting in your text so i'd save myself repeating all the lines again :P

With the free respec from Issue 8, I thought I would have a go at rejigging Ghostfire. Currently lvl 32, and going okay, however starting to struggle against some villians. So wondering if everyone could look at the slotting, have I got this completely wrong? Thinking may have overkilled on fire half rather than dark half (betraying my blaster background) with slotting. This is the plan up to lvl 41, so any help most appreciated.
Name: Name Ghostfire
Level: 41
Archetype: Corruptor
Primary: Fire Blast
Secondary: Dark Miasma
---------------------------------------------
01) --> Fire Blast==> Dmg(1) Dmg(3) Dmg(11) Acc(15) Rechg(17) EndRdx(19)
01) --> Twilight Grasp==> Heal(1) Heal(5) Heal(29) Acc(31) Acc(31) Rechg(31)
02) --> Fire Ball==> Dmg(2) Dmg(3) Dmg(13) Acc(17) Rechg(19) EndRdx(23)
04) --> Darkest Night==> TH_DeBuf(4) TH_DeBuf(5) Rechg(7) EndRdx(34) no need for rechg here, better swap that for another to hit debuff
06) --> Tar Patch==> Slow(6) Slow(7) Rechg(9) Rechg(9) you want this up as much as possible. swap slow for recharge
08) --> Rain Of Fire==> Dmg(8) Dmg(11) Dmg(33) a rechrg in here would be nice
10) --> Fire Breath==> Dmg(10) Dmg(13) Dmg(15) EndRdx(29) Acc(33) Rechg(34)
12) --> Combat Jumping==> DefBuf(12)
14) --> Super Jump==> Jump(14)
16) --> Swift==> Run(16)
18) --> Health==> Heal(18) maybe take hurdle instead. gives you way better (combat) movement and health doesn't do much for someone with low hp anyway
20) --> Stamina==> EndMod(20) EndMod(21) EndMod(21)
22) --> Blaze==> Dmg(22) Dmg(23) Dmg(25) Rechg(25) EndRdx(27) Acc(34) take this recharge and put it in RoF?
24) --> Shadow Fall==> DmgRes(24) one or two endredux and does very nicely with more dam resis as well
26) --> Fearsome Stare==> Fear(26) Fear(27) Fear(33) Acc(37) to hit debuff on this is pretty nice. DEbuffing accuracy is one of the key elements in your tactics and this stacks nicely with DN. so swap the fear for one of those and maybe add a recharge
28) --> Howling Twilight==> Rechg(28)
30) --> Petrifying Gaze==> Hold(30) Hold(37) Hold(40) Acc(40)
32) --> Hasten==> Rechg(32) Rechg(39) Rechg(39)
35) --> Inferno==> Dmg(35) Dmg(36) Dmg(36) Acc(36) Rechg(37) might wanna swap the accu for another rechg. You want it up as much as possible and the base accu is already good. pop a yellow insp (or 2) before you nuke and all will be fine- at least for you. not for them
38) --> Dark Servant==> TH_DeBuf(38) TH_DeBuf(39) Heal(40) swap the heal for another to hit debuff or add one of those
[/ QUOTE ]
I passed on the slot lvls, but in general i'd suggest you put the accu in first. Like you have it now they are all in the end. if you ever gonna malefactor you'll be hitting nothing but air
Good luck! -

Fire control i can help on, the unmissable powers in the set are char, flashfire and fire imps.

I only have one point to add to Kitties' post; Pick up Fire Cages for the superb Fire Cages+Flashfire combo!

for a troller absolutely yes, for a domi not a must have -

Looking past the powers picked at each levelIts a good looking build with the only Neutron Bomb a power I'd 'mmm' at
[/ QUOTE ]
/em agree
"The bomb" not that hot nor is choking cloud for that matter. Needs full 6 slots as majik said and even then that it's well... it just is i think
Mutation is a really good res indeed. Excellent buffs to it and only needs 1 recharge to operate well.
Having TP friend is very nice for teaming too and it combines well with mutation. Consider dropping "The Bomb" and get that.

Edit: Just noticed it was you 'Neon G'Hope those PC probs sort themselfs soon. Was with you last night on 'Coldhearted Vixen'.

I was there too with my cor and I sure felt pitty for you d/c'ing every 10 minHope it gets sorted soon.

Con's:
Honestly I don't see many.. Probably most players consider the fact of having no self heal a weakness. I never thought that. It probably makes you a better player, since you'll think twice before rushing into a mob.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm playing a ice/cold much to my liking atm. Having no self heal is kinda annoying sometimes, but it makes you sharp indeed and finally learn to appreciate and use those green insp
P.S. I'm not rushing in less on this toon- then again i've never been a headless rushing in kind of guy-, and it prolly even increases my pace (ice blast does well in that aspect). Because now more then ever the foes need to be debuffed and annihilated faster then ever. They need to perish before i die. Teaches you to indeed think better about which target to attack with what and when and learn the right timing on different types of mobs.
Sounds interesting sonic/cold. Deffo uncommon. Enjoy it -
Twas nice teaming indeed Okt. Gotta love that herd and burn game
But, but.... lvl 28 (i know you dinged last night and also were conscientiously working on those debt badges) and still no Blaze?
It's so creamy it'll make you drewl scourging that one! Really ace to [censored] those surviving the patch of doom
Edit: Ooooh since when is '[censored]' censored? -
Gotcha cyber
Well i think it is true for most people that you don't often play higher then +3. And i assumed an average player building a toon and posting here for advice is one of those not doing many PL sessions with their SG. For normal playing 1 accu on a rad/rad will do for sure except as said crucial powers like LR.
Ofcourse if you know you'll be PL'ing much and fight +5 a lot then a 2nd accu will do nicely indeed. But that's for ppl who have set their mind on that and still feel they wanna contribute to a team. Although in my opinion if fighting +5 or higher this just makes you more of a liability to the team and your attacks can't contribute as much to the team in regards to your potential and you better get a lackey or get lost anyway.
Besides i happily play high lvl mobs +4 ish quite a lot on my toons with not much hassle on 1 accu. With good use of those cute yellow insp even the non rads do pretty well, let alone a rad/rad.
In the end it all comes down to preference ofcourse. You like 2 accu in your attacks cyber and that's cool, i've been there too -and having a natural troller and domi fetish i still slot those primaries with 2 accu indeed- untill i found out in my f(l)avour that generally the slots could be put to better use elsewhere.
It's like The Voice sang: "I did it my way" And that's all cool to me
