    Well, to be fair we don't know that. It could be another 1-2 months, or 1-3 months unless Statesman or CuppaJo say "a month away from live".

    Given how fast and with the apparent ease of which they pushed out free costume tokens, I don't think it would be hard (and hardly unbalancing for the game) to push out an extra Freespec *immediately*, and then to do so again after I7 comes out. Respeccing a character is *not* a game unbalancing thing, and people still did the respec trials immediately after they came out. I did Terra Volta a day or two AFTER the last Freespec. Why? I wanted another one.

    Note they've done interim Freespecs before like this after dropping big changes, and it hurts nothing.

    Thank you, Castle. As mentioned below, Flash Arrow is in need of some loving as well. If not stackable, any change of either increaseing the base duration of the flash effect/debuff, or of increasing the slight current strength of the debuff? Another thing the Arrow-using SG mates of mine often complain about (I had one too, with this, before I stoppped playing him so much) was the splash radius on Acid Arrow being kind of tiny and inconsistent. A slight increase on this, perhaps? Maybe another couple of feet? Nothing as huge as firewall, but perhaps a doubling of the already small AOE area?

    NOTE: that's a to-hit check ONLY for PVP. Leave 100% as-is for PVE.
  6. Contrary to what others are saying after your post, my sonic/sonic defender actually seems to miss *much* more than any other set I've ever had. Are the base ACCs for some of the sets higher than 100% in general?

    Just curious because having played... well, everything, it seemed like sonics had the worst base ACC of all.

    I assumed and accepted it was to mitigate the damage resistance debuffs with every power in the set, to keep it from being unbalanced?

    I have a feeling this disclosure of numbers is the first test of giving out all the numbers like other MMOs. As long as people don't suddenly become uber from knowing this stuff, I think it'll be short order before we get all the goods.
  9. I think the Devs have the patience of saints, given the amount of abuse that gets heaped on them (a couple times by me, sorry guys).

    I think like 98% of what they've done in the game I 100% agree with, with the big exceptions of ED, and the still shameful neglect of both Faultline and the Shadow Shard.

    Honestly, the two prettiest zones, and hardly anything to drive people there..

    I've been playing since nearly launch of COH. I've seen the Dev's make some decisions that I think are boneheaded. Some that I think are great. But in the end, it's their game.     Honestly, most places have atrocious customer service because their customers act like spoiled little [censored].

    Agree 100% that based on what we know at the moment that it looks like a dumb move. But we don't know hardly anything YET. We called out Positron for clarification. I'm sure the Devs are currently huddled up wherever they do in the office to decide what the official response to this will be. We need to just wait for that.

    Is it content thats permanent, or powers? Or both? We all will agree that locking POWERS = bad, but everything else locked = fine.

    We just need to wait for their (hopefully) prompt response and clarification. Also, we need to lay off the "devs are stupid rere's who suck" sorta stuff. Pissing in their faces will not engender them to give us more info.

  15. The only fact we have is that Poz said you can't change what you take. The majority opinion is this bad.

    We do not need to go back and forth over whether it's bad or not, since we'll never agree and we don't need another YES NO YES NO YES NO YES NO fight for ten pages.

    Poz, no offense, but you need to clarify the point if the Patron CONTENT is locked in, or if the POWERS are locked in.

    I think no one will mind if the powers/badges etc. are locked in, since they're on the level of AT/Origin. However, locking in Powers that may change is bad, unless it also comes with a solid guarantee that the Devs won't change the powers. Ever. Until a means for *US* to change them is available. Fair is fair, heroes can change on a lark, etc.

    Please clarify.

    Everyone else, don't be stupid. I'm (as I'm sure many others) don't want a flame war but solid answers on all this.

    ...but just curious, if possible for you to answer. Why leave in so many PBAOEs when they go basically against the base idea of a Stalker? Might make for some interesting playstyles, I guess, but...

    Yes, the change was done purposefully. No, a patch note was not generated -- my fault, sorry! I simply forgot to note the change down.

    Why? There was a PVE exploit involved with it, and this fix takes care of 90% of the issue.

    What exactly was the PVE exploit if we can ask? If as mentioned it was the RA combo with this, that's not an exploit. That simply combining two powers to maximum effect based on what each is allowed to do individually. It's no more an exploit than a tank taking on much bigger groups than he should be able to whilst backed up by a dedicated empath.

    Just curious, on this one, since I'd never actually heard of exploit before this. I hardly ever even saw people use this except for style or a rare "Oh crap!" moment.
  20. Can anyone confirm if the -RES from Siphon and Disruption field do in fact stack for one target to the combined -38.9%? Working on my old sonic/sonic def, and I'm going to use my freespec to rearrange slotting for imminent SO action, and I'd hate to waste slots (especially since I don't know the set super well yet).

    Was thinking of 2 acc, 1 recharge, 1 end for Sonic Siphon. I already put 3 end reductions into Disruption to account for the huge -end from running that and the big rings from Dispersion (2 end reduction).

    Also, anyone know the ballpark numbers for the debuffs from the secondary attacks?

    Upcoming: Fulcrum on you when casting Blizzard, LS, RoF etc = fulcrumed dmg. for the pet for the normal duration of the fulcrum? Also... so if my stormie pal drops a LS, and THEN I fulcrum while under it, IT gets the fulcrum now too?

  22. Just an idea... maybe create a post that gets updated weekly, and put as a sticky on the Test Server forum, called "Soon..." which lists things like this that are in short or long term development?

    It just could get updated once a week or so, or month, just to detail things that are in the pipe. Put a fat disclaimer on the top that they're coming soon. Could be one day, or 365 days, or more... but kind of like an actively in development listing?

  25. Wow, I didn't see that AV/Hero one coming at all, nice! Again, thank you! That is really cool. Would the Elite Boss still be the same one? I.e. the mission calls for AV named Fred, we get the same Fred, but Elite Boss Fred instead?
