At the end of the second mission in Who Will Die part 2 (Hero), I was not given a dialog option to accept the third mission from Michael Binocolo. The arc is currently uncompletable.

Ran into a "new" one today, possibly an edge-case. Reported in-game, but I figured I'd post here as well, so others can keep an eye out for it.
I leveled a Praetorian grav/psi Dominator to 18, trained him and took Hasten - the Speed powerset is now in my powers list, but the power did not auto-populate to my tray, and Hasten was still grayed out in the LIST; I couldn't drag and drop it.
I had to log out of the game to force it to be available, and it auto-populated normally, possibly as a consequence of my window settings being reset. -
I'm giving CoH a break, because Paragon already did.
See y'all next week sometime. -

Quote:*ding-ding-ding* Winner by knockout in the first round. Bug the maps. I've done this on both AE and regular maps. Some few have even gotten fixed...I can honestly say I have never, in my six years of playing this game, popped inspirations before entering a mission, inside AE or out.
Hot doors are a separate issue and those spawn points need to be removed, as well as ambushes that trigger as soon as the player enters the map, but they have nothing to do with inspiration use and I've encountered far more of them outside AE than in. -

Presumably because NCSoft is still looking for ways to make CoH "go away".

Side-side-note: I've always felt that deliberate, AoE KnockDOWN powers should be built as low-magnitude KnockUP, rather than KnockBACK. That way, (I'm assuming*) any KB enhancements slotted to them might bounce them HIGHER, without actually bouncing them AWAY. Might look a little odd, but it would (presumably*) maintain the functional integrity of the power.
*I don't actually know how Knockup powers are built. This might work very differently from my expectations. -
Quote:As a side-note, Ice Slick behaves the same way if the KD is boosted in any way. In general, ALL Knockdown is merely Knockback with a base value of <1.0Did you slot Knockback Enhancements or sets into Earthquake? They increase the Magnitude of the Knockdown that Earthquake does (out of the box is .67 KB). If the enhanced value goes above 1.0, the KnockDOWN that Earthquake does turns into KnockBACK, which would account for flying mobs.

Have had several, but the most recent is my (currently) level 46 plant/thorn/fire Dom who, after a bit of intuitive respeccing, has become an AoE Engine of Chaos and Destruction. I don't expect to ever solo AVs with him, but he can certainly clear the rest of the room on his own... and he's not even "satisfactorily" enhanced yet.

Quote:That's crazy. They should market a little hotplate to harness the excess to boil tea water, or something.Nope. Maximum temp for that card is 105c. Nvidia cards always run hot and CoH pushes them harder than most games thanks to using opengl instead of directx. 86 is well within the safe zone.
Unrelated note: that's a rather sharp costume, PS. -

And it turns out Hot Dog is a new travel power. Who knew?

Silly Fed-Ex mission objectives...

Oh, another amusing, off-the-wall option is a bots Mastermind with Group Fly.

Quote:For the Primary, just about anything except Plant and (I think) Earth, which have several powers that require you to be on the ground to use. That is true! What kind of (Dominator) powerset combination would you say would be good for that style of play?
For the Secondary, andything with a solid mix of ranged attacks and boosts. Energy and Fire Assault come to mind, but most of the Dom Secondaries have solid range and self-buffs. Stone is a bit to melee to work well, I think. -

Quote:Because some might interpret "public" as "everyone, not just VIPs". Oh, and because it's named "Beta VIP". Simple, really. Here is my post, the second post in the thread. Re-read the first sentence. Not sure how someone could read that sentence then go on to ask whether Beta VIP is accessible to VIPs...
If it has nothing to do with VIP status, it shouldn't be named that. -
I love Blasters, but a lot of Blaster secondaries don't support an "aerial assault platform" mode. Of the two choices given, I'd go Corruptor, though you might also want to give Dominator a look, too.

Well, bosh and piffle. Have to go stomp my feet and cry, now!
