  1. Hey folks, I've been playing redside exclusively for the last three months or so, and I'm taking a break and gonig back to my old plant/kin. Got him to 45 before I quit last, and he's almost 48 now, and I'm beginning to set him out and respec him. Wondering your thoughts on this build. Be mean, but within reason :P

  4. I stumbled across this thread randomly.. kickass job, Noire! as I type this, I'm getting deja vu, which is wierd, deja vu about everything I'm typing right now. But anyway, keep goin at it, your progress is amazing!

  5. Slotted for acc/dam, it's a great power. The Imps are decent damage and extra aggro, which translates into MORE mitigation for my big pets, and the damage buff on the Prince or the Gargoyle is pretty damn nice, as well, esp for a buffless secondary such as FF.

Well, the numbers I have listed give me Perma-Hasten, and HoE is listed at 146.7sec recharge with a 90s effect.. so less than a minute of downtime, I'm not sure if that includes Hasten's time or not.. I assume it does, but that's why I have the +rech proc in Crack Whip (tho Id prolly move that to Corruption and move CFBU to Crack Whip)

    I was looking to stay away from Travel Powers, since I usually sit in the middle of things, and with a Def-based build, my thought was using Opressive Gloom for damage control along with the +Chance for ToHit Debuff proc in it for more mitigation, while Smacking the mobs with Crack Whip for -res and Night Fall for -ToHit. I do like the higher Def your build has, and with Dispersion Bubble + Minibubbles, my pets will still be capped on Defense.. tho I do like your Bubble slotting better.. I lose 9% Acc, 5% Recharge, a little res and a few hps, but gain 6 slots to place elsewhere like Tactics, Health, etc.

    No, you're right, FF doesn't have need for recharge, but HoE does.

    Thanks for the advice, I'll make some changes to a few slotting areas, and see how that goes
  7. First attempt at making a DS/FF build, and it's real late, and I'm real tired, but tell me what improvements you'd make. I'm going for lots of recharge for stacking -res and HoE uptime, and softcap def (though I don't think I'm at the def cap..) Thank you for your advice

  10. Just a side note, the Touch of Death Chance for Neg Energy Damage enhancement? I sold one recently for 18m. So if your cap is 100m, having that in there will cost 1/5 of your total budget, unless you can be really REALLY patient.

  12. Hey folks, I have a plant/kin I'm working on, but I cant find any plant/kin builds on the boards. Maybe I'm blind, I dunno

    I was wondering if someone could toss me a good P/K build, I plan on going Ice APP for Ice Storm, Hibernate, and the shield, with Tictacs and Maneuvers.

    I have a few idea for slotting sets, but I'm far from the best at knowing what to place in them, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

  13. Hm.. I thought you were locked into patron choices, even thru respecs.. groovy, ill go change to Mu then.

    Tweaked it a bit.. dropped Aid Self.. still have my Leadership toggles.. Hows this? (Yeah, I know I took Protector Bots at 14, I noticed after I slotted my last enhance slot and didnt feel like changing it.. i would take it at 12.)

    I have poison trap right now, and I honestly cant remember the last time I used it.. between dropping Triage as it comes up, Mortar, tossing Caltrops and Seekers, Aid Other and dropping reds on my Assault Bot, and web envelope.. and I have no idea who "Biff" or "Widdershins" are..

    How exactly is Leadership "meh"? Team-wide 15% damage buff, more Defense for my bots, and enough To-Hit buffs that I don't have to worry about them missing.. for a Mastermind, I cant see not having Leadership.

    I don't have Hasten and I have no problem with EBs and AVs. I really dont see a need for it.. it'd be nice, yes, but so is Stamina, but my current build is level 50 without either.

    5) frankenslot the pets. your current slotting doesnt have enough defense to be worth the effort - nor should it actually matter. you yourself dont need to be softcapped, and the defense from 5 bits of blood mandate do nothing for your pets. frankenslot the pets with acc/dam from all 4 sets, then acc/dam/end from two others. in probots slot 3 acc/dam, 1 acc/dam/end and 2 defense buff io's. in the assault bot, lose the resist io unique and replace with the defense io unique - it goes farther on a set that already relies a lot on defense.

    Every other guide Ive seen reccommends placing the def uni in Bots and the Resist Uni in Assbot.. best of both worlds. But I like the thinking for the other enhances, thanks!

    Aid Self has saved my life literally hundreds of times. I wouldnt give it up for the world. I'm a Combat Mastermind.. Im right there in the front lines of my bots tossing traps and directing where to attack, and I draw a decent amount of attention. Could I live without it? Yes.. am I gonna keep it? You betcha

    Thanks for the advice on the enhance slotting, that's what I was lookin for help on, not so much the power choices
