  6. So as we have so many people interested I propose a sewer run for the first session or two. Will allow all the teams to play together and with our global channel it could be great fun. I've never done a sewer run before so new and exciting stuff. We could then move onto the redesigned Hollows!

    I only did the list so that people could see the potential for creativity. Not only do we have a stack of powerset combos but we have freedom to design our toons the way we want. All the important ingredients to a successful themem team

    As long a one of your primary or secondary is ice or storm related you can pick whatever you like for the other. So you could make a fire/storm controller or a psi/ice blaster etc.
  11. I'm really looking forward to this now!! Cant believe the interest already. Echo you are the master at organising theme teams

    I'm torn between a Cold/Dark Defender or an Ice/Thermal Controller. Oh and Ill/Storm is lots of fun, although mine has sat at 34 for about a year. Chaos control at its best!
  12. Know your enemies. You should know when you are going to face a mez heavy enemy and just fill your tray with break frees. Take them before you get mezzed to keep your toggle up and running. Sorry if this sounds obvious.

    I wouldn't worry too much if we have more than 8. For the first couple of weeks of the all Dom team we were running 2 teams. It doesn't take long before people start dropping out and only the stalwarts remain

    Traps doesn't have Auto Turret it has Acid Mortar. I doubt Acid Mortar is being buffed to follow you around.

    Poison Trap was one of my favuorite powers in the whole game and i'm really disapointed to see it being nerfed. I agree with Gravitos in that they should boost the chance it has to hold if it's not going to be firing off as often. Surely that cant be too hard to do?

    I have to ask why? So they take the best power in an otherwise average villain set and nerf it. Meanwhile the 2,103,456th fire/kin enters PI for the first time. Odd.

    You cant be serious? Playing a psi without mind probe, drain psyche and psi shockwave would be madness imo. Psi's strength lies in being in mellee so that you can get a great buff from drain psyche then spam PSW like a madman.
  22. Most primaries allow you to play at range so pick one you think sounds fun. The only primary that I would avoid would be Fire as its area hold requires you to be in melee plus it has hotfeet which is another power which does the same. All the other primaries have targetted aoe holds although i would say that Grav is arguably the best primary for a ranged dominator - mainly due to wormhole being such a great ranged power, you dont even need line of sight for it to work.

    All the secondaries have melee powers. I would definately avoid Psi as its best powers force you into melee, drain psyche and psi shockwave. I would never consider playing a Psi and dropping those powers. You could have a decent ranged toon if you picked any of Fire, Energy or Ice.

    Fire has three ranged blasts, a build up power in fiery embrace. You would miss out on combustion and the end drain power (i forget the name) by staying at range.

    Energy again has three ranged blasts with the advantage of being one of only 2 secondaries to get power boost. Domination + pb + your aoe hold is sheer brilliance. You would miss out on bonesmasher and total focus by playing at range. Although tf is your most damaging attack it really isnt great for a dom to be hanging in the air for that long (especially if the mobs arent mezzed )

    Ice has three blasts again, a cone and access to power boost. You could build a solid ranged dom from ice imo. You would miss out on ice sword, ice sword circle and greater ice sword by staying at range.

    I cant really comment on thorns as its the only secondary i havent played to a decent level.

    Doms have seen a lot of improvements since you last played them, most notably domination builds faster the larger the team and domination grants mez protection (the only AT to get mez protection at lvl 1 ).

    So you counter an argument about resting being more effective than resistance shields by telling us you have a level 50 defense based stalker that rarely dies. Nice.

    KO Blow and Footstomp would benefit too (the bruiser does have KO blow right?). I don't even use the first upgrade on my bruiser, the handclap drives me insane. Second upgrade definately gives him Footstomp and that would get a nice benefit from the proc.
