    Both ATs are different. Some powersets better for tanking than others. Try them all and find one you like.

  7. I refuse not to take Build Up or Ain when they're available to me.
  8. I'm at the resistance cap for S/L. I left the Endurace IOs in there to help out somewhere where the numbers still do something. I also agree on that slot in CJ. I'll shufle it around in mids', as well as the eradication quad. Thanks for all the advice everyone!

  10. Ok. I swapped out Earths Embrace for Spore Burst. Fissure fit the character and Rock Armor... kinda does, but the other powers in the set dont really fit. Earths Embrace did, but I'm not sure I need it. Perhaps picking a different acilliary would be better. Any suggestions? Primal could fit theme-wise as well, but I'm not sure I want to go that route.

    Hmm. This decision is too tough. Does anyone know if we'll be able to recolor acilliary powers in i16 as well as our primary/secondary?

    Hmmmm.

    This version I did with most of the suggestions. S/L and F/C are at the softcap with E/N short by .2%. That .2 I'm not too concerned about though. I also swapped the location of Invincible and Superjump. I left the autopowers where they are, as that's not where they're going to be when I'm leveling. I'll be respecing and reordering them later to where they are now.

  14. The knockback on Shockwave may be brought down. And Confront -> Taunt like Ahmon said. Not really sure what else besides a taunt component to attacks maybe.

    Immobilizes don't bother you since you can still teleport even when immobilied and can actually benefit you. If the immob you are hit with has -KB the mobs actually GIVE you KB protection.

  17. Leveling my new Invul/Ice tank has been hard, sure. But something tells me it's going to be worth it. After looking around at Call_Me_Awesome's Guide for Invul, I think I've settled on a build I like any advice anyone has would be much appreciated. I've been posting builds for critique like crazy today, hopefully I can get his one settled before I get to 50 so I dont waste any time.

    Note: The empty slot in that one auto power is for the PvP +3% Defense IO.

This points a 10'-15', 90 degree cone DOWN at everything underneath me (slight skewage off straight down towards selected target) ... which when I've got a "dogpile on da wabbit!" situation going means I'm very likely to catch everything that was huddled up around me. This means that instead of attack a 90 degree "slice of pie" in front of me, I've instead attacked a pseudo-PBAoE of hostiles around where I was standing.

    The "Frost Hop" maneuver is very simple to do, requires "n00bish" levels of manual dexterity/coordination, vastly improves the number of targets I can attack simultaneously with the cone, and does not require me to surrender my current position in order to find a better angle of attack. It's almost become a "no brainer" for me to use in combat, where every time I'm ready to use Frost ... I hop up in the air to blast the cone downwards, rather than staying on the ground to blast it sideways.

    I do this on my crab tank with suppression once I have all the enamies where I want them. Until then I Suppression, wait for them to dogpile me, hop out in the direction I want to move them, suppression, etc. It's a very good tactic for keeping aggro while shifting mobs around. It's much easier for me since Suppression is a Legitimate ranged cone, but I can see this working well with Frost as well, with enough range slotted, that is.

    Ice_Ember, that wasn't a bad build, but some of the slotting was very wierd. Like the End/Rech in health? Why? Also, active defense's recharge wasn't enough to have it on all the time. I did a little variation on the slotting and think it's a little smoother. A bit more expensive (maybe not, considering I didn't use HOs), but I feel its more efficient in the long run.

  20. On my Plant/Emp I recently decided to take the Earth Mastery Epic set for theme reasons, and while looking through my build, I realized I only had room for 3 powers from the set. Hurl Bolder doesn't sem very good, so I just skipped over it. I took Fissure aready and I'm currently wondering wether to take Rock Armor, Earths Embrace, or both. I have Earths Embrace on perma (or close enough anyway) in mids' in my current build, but I'm not sure if taking both powers would be beneficial. I'd like to fit Spore Burst in somewhere to slot the chance to placate to help m aggro issues, but I'm really not sure if it's worth it.

    Here's the build I've been toying with so far. EDIT: Haven't slotted up roots yet either with anything but generics.

    EDIT (again): Would slotting roots for damage, or with damage procs be better in the long run?

  21. Some of the mot reliable PvP tanks I see nowadays are Invul/Stone Melee. Not sure the reasoning behind it, but like the others said, almost anything will be good with enough money. Tanks aren't very picky.
  22. As a tribute the epicness of VEATs, my Crab Spider can tank almost anything an Invul Tanker can, not to mention I offer toggle group buffs (including a total of about 20% defense I give my team in return) without sacrificing DPS.

  24. Wow. That's the first constructive post I've read all day! I had this happen to me and was quite depressed (luckily I was just testing a mission).
