  1. I haven't recieved any contacts at all one way or the other. What bothers me is that this was more or less an ambush and there doesn't seem to be any way of getting in touch with a billing department or anything like that to lobby a complaint. I feel as if I have been robbed, I actually did a subscription prepay up to 2014 and am just a tad peeved about that.

I would play that task force/trial. Not to mention...wow that actually could be an interesting potential AU. One where superhumans actually took on the role of gods and are essentially worshipped by the populace. Could lead to some fun options if such a thing were done.
  3. One idea that I thought could be cool is a kind of 'swing' powerset. Essentially by way of grappling hooks, webbing, whatever.

    Swing:
    Swing: +Speed
    Wall Bounce: +Speed +Defense
Entangle: Fire your grappling hook, webs, cables, whatever and entangle the enemy
Grab: Use it to pull a target to you.

    Just saying.

    Base Henchmen

That idea actually does sound kind of neat. I also know how you can get control of certain things with the gladiator badges, maybe use them as a kind of secondary guard system or something similar.
  5. Something I was kicking around recently, I have played both hero and villain, I will say that while I love the villain mayhem missions to commit bank robberies the hero one for stopping it...well it kinda leaves me cold. I don't think they need to be gotten rid of, but it might be nice to have some alternatives, and I have a couple ideas for either side if anyone is interested and thoughts on this could be cool.

Manhunt: (Hero side) A massive jailbreak has occurred, you need to stop the escaped supervillains before they reach various escape vehicles. You can eliminate some of the escape vehicles, attack criminals to capture them, and help free up police to stop them by stopping other criminals and rioters.

Jailbreak: (Villain side) Certain supervillains are offering money, equipment, whatever for release, or perhaps Lord Recluse wants them busted out. Whatever the case, your job is simple, cause havoc to tie up the police and then break into the jail, bust open cells and release the villains. Stop heroes that might try to cause problems.

But ya, I've kind of wondered that a bit myself. We see all these different Statesmen running around but have yet to see an alt. dimension Recluse. Or if we have, we had no idea it was him.
Could that be the one that Cole has, IE could Tyrant have Tartarus or is that not a possibility? I guess part of why I was curious about the alternate Recluses is that it might be interesting to see different imaginings or stylings of him. For that matter I do genuinely wonder if the well changes the person that drinks it, IE a good person could be made a villain and an utter monster could be made a shining hero with the well. If that's the case then it does bring up some interesting concepts.
  7. I know this might sound kind of silly but the thought has been rattling around in my head since I started playing a few months ago and checked out the wikis. I am aware that there have been two alternate versions of Statesman introduced, one of them being Reichsman and another being the current Tyrant. What I'm wondering is if they ever thought of trying to do something with an alternate universe Lord Recluse or if doing such a thing might be a good idea.

The reason I bring it up at all, it could be an interesting concept or story, maybe we discover realities where Recluse ended up being a heroic figure instead of a villainous one, or if we want to avoid mirror universe parallels what about situations where Alternate Recluse is something closer to a devourer of worlds. A being that perhaps figured out how to harness the power of the well of the furies but rather than become a tyrant turned into something closer to an elemental force, seeking to conquer and consume all that it could reach its power into? Hell, for that matter maybe a Lord Recluse contacting universe counterparts with a simple plan, join forces and wipe out the rivals of each other in each universe allowing them to conquer their own dimensions.
  8. The whole Death of Statesman thing does kind of suck in some regards but I can see some of what they might try doing with it as well. Statesman is gone but (I think) Tyrant is still there, Arachnos still lives and plenty of other horrors might come out of the woodwork once the pinnacle superhero is gone. What I actually wonder about more is if they're going to use it as a kind of launch point for other big arcs in the game and maybe alter the world or use it to introduce some new plots.
  9. Ah, alright I'm just an idiot working off of outdated information then. My deepest apologies.
  10. One of the things that I've noticed and heard on the servers is that super teams often aren't used. One of the reasons ends up being because for a lot of people there isn't the level of interest, and since freebies can't join a lot of them (like myself) who started free and went VIP don't necessarily have the desire to join a group or even know if we're missing anything. One of the other problems could be that in order to get anything for your base, mostly cosmetic stuff by the way, you have to turn off your ability to earn influence/infamy. I have an idea that might help renew interest in super teams as well as create a scenario where people would want to switch to getting the currency for creating a base.

Simply put, we use the temporary power rules a la what Death from Below has for killing the hydra linked to various base purchases. In essence the members of the group could put the currency towards say a new armory to increase damage or 'arc reactors' to boost endurance regen. The boosters would be based on level and tier. Low tiers would cap out at say level 20, and then you'd have to get a new tier. And you have to buy low tier to get higher tier, this way an already established group has to get the low tier stuff as well in order to get the higher tier.

Another thing that might be worth considering are unique contacts to super teams, essentially give them special missions in the vein of task forces. These can be special missions that deal with a particular villain or villainous group. Or there could be some sort of rivalry setup where villain and hero groups could compete in missions for an item, say a super weapon or unique ore, whatever that would give a temporary bonus for a week or two.

Just some general ideas, and sorry if any of them are impractical or anything.
