Bill Bixby was ok. He was not a good Banner. On the other hand, like many attempted super hero shows back then, that was not the Hulk. No where near his power levels even when the Hulk made his appearnace. The over all feel of the story was awful to me.

As for Lou... when my fiance first saw the series, she thought the Hulk was a woman. After all, only women have breasts that big, right?

As for Reed and Stark. WWH was a terrible story which I've tried to scrub from my brain. I can't remember anything which Reed or Stark did in that story which might paint them as villains. So I'm assuming your calling them villains for punting Hulk into space. As I remember it, that was in response to the Hulk's latest rampage which resulted in civilian deaths. Banishment seems to be a valid tactic used by Marvels heroes, Thor does it with his hammer, Magik has banished people to Limbo, Doc Strange does it and no one complains. How Hulk chose to respond to that puts the full blame on him. And he can't hide behind the "angry/rage" excuse because throughout the storyline we see him rationally thinking and planning the annihilation of those who he thinks wronged him. The whole attack was premeditated. Now Civil War Reed and Stark deserve to be locked up for a very long time, but they were nowhere near as bad as WWH Hulk.
I disagree. Whatever the reasoning behind Hulk's banishment, from what I know they tricked him. There was a problem in space and they needed the Hulk to take care of it, so they tricked him to help. On the way back, the shuttle then started off on it's aborted journey to happy bunny forest. Bruce had managed to keep and get control of the Hulk many times over his career. As I recall, until he lost Betty from his life, he did the best he could to control himself. Sadly, far to many enemies needed to be stopped by him for the many attempts to remove and control that side of his personality for good.
  3. I could not find it on ABC instant view yet. We have no cable so we are going to watch it online. We saw a trailer for The Cape, and that looks good as well.

Oddly I liked the differences in Halloween 3 versus the first two. I was not fond of the original story lines, and they helped scar me in regards to hospitals.

Sequels in movies usually "kill" them when the 3rd movie hits in most cases, especially when it comes to superhero movies.

    X3: The Last Stand

    Spider-Man 3

    Blade Trilogy

Batman Forever (I expect an argument about this one)

    Superman III

    Am I forgetting any?
Oh like horror movies are any better in their 3rd edition.

Jaws 3d and Friday the 13th 3d come to mind, and that was in the 80's.

    How about Star Trek 3?

    Rambo 3?

    Terminator 3?

    Aliens 3?

The 3rd movie is awful, and I think they do that on purpose.

I know I am a Thor fan and Thor is powerful...but Thor has lost more than his share of battles over the years...especially when it involves The Hulk (and I will not even start on the whole Red Hulk fiasco)...my soon to be brother in law put it in wrestling terms for me "Hulk is The Undertaker and Thor is Kane"...LOL...I do own the Hulk vs movies and had no real beef with them other than I would have liked to see Thor with more offense...but that is a fanboy thought...LOL

I find it hard to invest in Super-Man as well...I think it is more that I find it hard to care about characters that seem to have no weakness... but I will admit I haven't read his books in a year or so and am curious to see what JMS is doing with the character as he was amazing on Thor...
My personal opinion. Avoid Spider-man. OMD/BND and OMIT have ruined the character. I know someone is going to post after this and say otherwise, but... selling your marriage for life of a woman ready to move on is patently ridiculous, much less the way things were changed afterwards. Peter's actions were not very hyeroic, and not in character.

*steps away from the post due to nerdrage building*

Yeah... I am not fond of the change.

As for Red Hulk... that was another WTF moments in comics, and I am surprised it went so far.

Oh that helps lol, but not quite what I look for in a soda lol. I have been meaning to try the recipe though.

I am given to understand that Pacific Northwest Brewing Comp. has the Dr. Nut recipe. I have been meaning to look into that but I get stuck doing other things, like posting.
  8. There is not harm in not liking a character. I am not fond of most of the Avengers, Nick Fury, or Captain America. I don't hate the characters, they just never did it for me.

There are incarnations of characters I dislike as well. I dislike, well hate, the TV version of The Hulk and David Banner. This was the reason I disliked the Ed Norton version of The Hulk. Or the 70's TV Spider-man, or even the Adam West style Batman.

    No Dr. Nut

    Lost

On a side note, I always wondered about the dating rituals of the Rikti.

What does a female Rikti wear on a date? The male rikti? What sort of activities are considered 'fun' for Rikti?

    Walking your pet monkey?

    Watching a movie?

Trips to the shooting range to keep up skills?

And I do NOT want to know what constitutes a successful date thankyouverymuch.
  11. My titular character is 24. She was 18 at the launch of the game. Her sister is 19. She turned 18 when Fire Melee came out for scrappers. (I could be wrong about that date.)
  12. Well Westley, I hope you come back one day. We all need a good break now and then. Until we see you back in the forums, Ciao!

While I disagree about Magneto, I do agree with the statement. Evil for laughs is not evil. At least not true evil. True Evil feels it is doing what is best for the world. There are humans that are True Evil in the world. Hitler comes to mind. He truly thought he was doing the best for his country. Ted Bundy was another example in a different light. He was over all a good man that was very kind to his inner circle, from what I can tell. Yet he had a very dark side.

Where as I do agree with you, and I have agreed with points on both sides of the debate, I can easily see comaparison to real world history/politics. I don't mind, THEY do. I just hate to see a thread about the wonderful writing the devs have created this time around being nuked for real world reasons.
  15. Guys, I would ease up on the political commentary. We do not want this thread locked.

edit: And GG, as I can not see what you are saying, I will say you are not helping based on the responses I have seen. This does not need to be a locked thread due to you or anyone else.
  16. You are more generous than I am, Olantern. I20 will be out in July of next year, I am guessing.

    Bugs Mastermind?

4 legs up in approval. I still need 2 to stand on.

Many of my Roach MMs would feel the need for a reroll.

Thanks Eiko, I will have to try that later on.

  21. Thanks everyone. I am not to concerned about I19, I was just wondering if I missed something. I am more interested in Halloween. This is the time of year I start bouncing between games to see the holiday events I like, and I hate to say it, I am not so sure last years event here was all the well received. I was not here for last Halloween.
  22. It was not PEATs on the list, it was misread.

Instead it was Pete's. As in Unlucky Pete. The new EAT is the Lost.

Only we are limited the Scrounger Swordsman, Rifle, and Blaster.

And we can't use Rikti weapons.
  23. It's that time of year again, and Issue 20 went into closed beta.

Has there been any time line or information about when Issue 19 or the Halloween event will be started.

I am not asking for people to break NDA. I am asking if the devs have said anything in public or the forums that my weak search-fu can't find.

You won't make any changes, either.

From your board reg date, I'm guess it's an older character. Certain costume pieces have been changed and/or reordered--and so the costume file changes. Some of that stuff can be fixed/kludged by the game automatically, and you'll have to pay for that. If you want to keep your legacy setup, again--cancel and you won't pay.

If you've been in game long enough to have some legacy/altered/removed pieces, you probably have a costume change token or two sitting around. That'll solve your inf. problems. Some of my characters have waaaay over 50 tokens--I haven't paid for a costume change in a loooong time.
The money is not the issue, par se. Finding which piece I was looking for at times is more of a pain, in particular with faces. I mean they have 30 faces now. I just find it annoying to have to go in and change everything that they fixed, it it is at all possible.

I asked this question some time ago, but I received no answer. What's up with the Masks with Hair option. I can't make a full mask unless I am doing a horrific face with it. I was trying to make a toon with hair, but the face was a full mask and all I had available to me were the skin tones. That's not at all what I wanted.
  25. OK, I am sure I have asked this somewhere, and I seem to forget it, but I need help with the tailors.

I go to change a costume, and some pieces are already changed, and some are not changed yet they are charging me for being changed right even though no modifications were made. What can I do about this?

I am trying to go to the tailor out of SG mode but that does not help. It's driving me insane, in particular with a relatively new character that should not have any changes to it.

Should I bug it? Rant? What?
