  1. I go by servers. All villains, all heroes, all EATs. The EATs are split server wise in that we have hero and villain EATS on the same server.
  2. Usually as right as is available at the toons creation. Some new costume pieces fit better overall, and they start a switch.

    I agree with the Lemur.

My main server is on infinity, and I have seen more Banner missions that Rikti invasions or zombie invasions. I have been looking. As for the participation, I have no clue. I know no one showed up for the Banner.

I won't argue that it is not. I can't think of another good name for him either so I will have to stick with what someone else has as good idea.

    Halloween Mobs

OK, we ran through the event with our lvl 50 duo. A spines/sr scrapper and an nrg/cold blaster. It is always nice to wear some comfortable clothes.

The door knocking was still tough at times, but not nearly as tough as it was with lvl 20's and under. The crones and vamp lords were only part of the problem. The other problem was the blasted ghosts. I noticed more clearly that that the mobs run out the door and were very focused on the blaster, even when I opened the door with my scrapper, and she stood back. There were a couple of deaths, (That in itself is an issue, all things considering, but some will disagree. Risk /= reward in this event.) but overall they were on her side. One point I needed to hit elude to deal with a crone that seemed to have my accuracy floored, as I could do nothing to her, and another point, right before a death, the vamp lord was so focused on her, I was wiping him out, and he never turned on me, he focused on the blaster. (No I did not take taunt for my scrapper. I never do.)

We did not try the banners, though one did show up, and we already had the older badges. That left the tip missions.

The lvl 50 tip missions were easier due to the fact that there were no damn ghosts. That was part of the reason it took so long with my other toons. Ghosts seem to rip us apart. Our 50's made it through to the last chamber without triggering the clockwork. We literally steam rolled the mobs. The issues came from the boss, (He was not scaling down as per our difficulty rating, or he was a +1 EB normally.) he needed me to use my focused accuracy to make quick work of him. The clockwork tended to spawn in weird places as well, but also seemed to focus on the blaster, even though she never did the first damage. The Clockwork Lieutenants also did a number on her blaster, oddly enough, but that was controllable.

Over all we are still disappointed in the event this year. Other MMOs have this issue as well, but events should not be the focus of high level toons only. After doing them for so many years, unless you add something new that they are interested in, they won't bother doing the event again. As it is, I doubt my high level toons will be pulled out again for Halloween, and at this rate, the low level toons are just to frustrating to play during the event, though they need to badges.

I am with you about the Totem. I actually have the Evolve or Die in hardcover. I bought it prior to my ban of Marvel Comics.

What the producers of the new Superman series are trying to do is kind of like a perverse version of the quote "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and expecting different results." Except what they're trying to repeat has no bearing or relation to what they are trying to apply it to.
Because far to often, the sheeple prove them right.
  9. Maybe they will screw with Peter some more and bring Uncle Ben and Ben Reilly back to life.

No, not reading it, and really not interested in it either. I have never heard of the writer, so I can't comment, but I hope you enjoy it.

For many players, that content is still team content. I know I have had to team to take on difficult EBs and most AVs I ran across through out the game. No purples, no complete sets, lots of IOs though.

I just don't see how that mission is giving anyone difficulty outside of maybe the EB at the end for a low-damage AT who is solo.
Yes the ambushes waited until all the mobs were finished. BUT!! The span between the last mob dropping and the new ambush getting on us was miniscule. I never had time to drop to knee, and several times, the spawn was right on top of us. Now, I am not sure where you are when the ambushes start, but we barely made it to the second room with the glowies.

As for the zombies, I was actually watching the zombies tear my /regen scrapper apart. The single lieutenant fell quickly that time.

But I do understand what you are saying Eiko. I may disagree with your observations, but I understand what you are saying.

My blaster, though had a hell of a time beating anything that came out of a door. I only had one trip to the hospital, but, after about 5 or 6 fights ending up barely alive at the end it was just too tedious to bother continuing.

Overall, I'm not impressed. The banner thing needs some major tweaking, given that if you play in the late hours I do, you may as well ignore it completely since you'll never get enough people together in a zone to take them out. And I've never liked the zombie apocalypse. It's interesting the first time you see it, but there's just no point to it. It's basically as fun as street sweeping and how many people do that?
Actually, invasions are the only time I like street sweeping.

    Halloween Mobs

    Negative comment ahead.

While normally I like the Halloween event for Co*, the only word I can use right now is disappointed. I was not here last year, so the combinations of things will be included. The door mobs are still to powerful. Even con zombies from the door should not be tearing my scrapper apart. (It was the last mob standing from that spawn.) I know werewolves were always nasty, as were the Fir Bolg contigent, but right now they are ripping us apart at the low levels. The extra addition of multiple bosses with a duo, much less 4 lieutenants, is also making things difficult. One door was opened 4 times, and we got a Vampire Lord, (at least one) each of the 4 times. We leveled up and the door would not open for us anymore, so we could not go for Lord number 5.

For the risk involved, the rewards are less than even. What happened to the big inspirations? Why did they take them out? It's bad enough that they are not found in the Shadow SHard anymore. They are very rare, and at high levels, the tier 1 inspirations are not all that effective.

I have not tried the Apocalypse, so I can't say how hard it is under ideal conditions, (Love some of the descriptions of the mobs though.) but as event fatigue sets in, fewer people will be willing to do the event, and those that were not able to log in those first few days are out of luck.

I like the idea of the tip mission, but the mob spawns are far to large. We were getting 6 spawns in a duo, with two of them being lieutenants. Oddly, I do not recall any bosses, other than the elite boss at the end. Having to fight through those in 5 minutes or less seems impossible, and the glowies do not add enough time. The same with the ambushes. There is not enough time to rest between them, and if you move a bit to far, they can appear right next to you. I do like that it allows the access of the Witches cap, which despite jokes around here, is hard for a hero to get. Despite several past attempts to get a KHTF going, there were no takers. On a Saturday night.

As much as I like the game, I am disappointed I stayed with Co* for Halloween. Mrs. Arachnia was looking forward to the event, and now does not even want to log in and play it. As for me, I would almost rather play the console game we purchased last week.

For those that disagree and like the event, I am glad! It's just right now, this 'challenge' is not fun for us. It's tedious, and feels like a job, not entertainment.

    Halloween Mobs

Might just be the low levels then. We have not tried it with our 50's yet. Just very surprised as usually the event is very fun, and this year it's very frustrating. They remind me of the scaled zone event mobs and how they are much more powerful than something similiar in mob type and level.

    Halloween Mobs

Anyone else noticing the mobs hitting much harder this year, during the door knocking? My wife and I are getting our collective rears handed to us. I mean, we are not under slotted or anything, green enhancements or IOs. They just keep two shotting us, and the zombies from the doors are bad ***.

I mean, two scrappers should not fall to the doors three times in a row, even when we are at base difficulty level.

    Leveling pact

Ok, I checked the search engine for this question.

My wife and I had a pair of toons that had the leveling pact broken. The toons were made with GR, and they have not lapsed accounts. All I can figure is that we can only have one leveling pact per account at the same time. Should we /bug it and see if we can get it fixed, or is it working as intended?

  24. Last week I think it started back up early, and you can't ToT until 9 am.

I know, I tried o_o. I have to leave for work in 10 minutes, and will not be back until 7 pm.

  25. I thought you would run out of contacts as you tried that. You won't get enough xp to get your next contact by dropping all the time, and some missions can't be dropped. Not to mention the missions of "Kill x mob followed by defeat all in base and then defeat all in 2nd base" style missions, where you are never leaving the first mission in the first place.
