Here is a thread with information about @Lucas. He played on Justice and Freedom, loved to PvP as well as run PvE task forces, and was a member of the Forum Cartel with over 11,000 posts.
He is somewhat infamous for having spawned Kronos at one of the Original Hamidon Raids on Justice with the comment, "Kronos has a hold, noob!" -
I also remember Mr. Samoa. Glad to hear you are doing well.
P.S. Samoa is a cookie. (I remember setting you off once with that remark. Sorry I couldn't resist doing it again, for old times sake.) -
We need to know a time. November 30 seems to be D-day but we need to know when 0-hour will be.
-
I will be there (if someone yells at me and reminds me in game when it's happening).
-
Bionic Flea is sitting at 1383 badges. I want to get as many as I can before I go out. I need The Really Hard Way, the PvP rep badges, and the last damage badge. I think he also needs the First Ward Arcs and 2 others to have done every available arc.
I also have a stalker at 41 or so that is a Praetorian native and I want to get him to 50 there in Praetoria. Stalker is also the only AT I don't have a 50 of.
In an effort to help others realize their characters' ultimate builds, I have started selling everything for 1 influence. I have a lot of stuff and others are doing the same. The prices in the market are quickly collapsing. I am also available to powerlevel players or to complete whatever tasks they need done.
As to what to do at the end, I thought that an old school Hamidon raid would be a nice way to go out. Having the last 200 players on Justice beating up on the goo would be a fitting way to go. But since we can't get more than 50 characters in the Hive and it is restricted to level 45 and up, I was wondering if a Rikti Mother Ship Raid would be a better end. This game started with a Rikti invasion, maybe it should end with us taking the fight to them.
And Mari, I couldn't think of a better person to be leading that final raid. I would follow you to the end.
FOR GREAT JUSTICE! -
TJ,
In an ever changing world, both inside the game and out, you have been a constant. Thanks for helping to make this game a home to me and so many others. -
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rage at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
-Dylan Thomas -
I will do what I can with the little I have.
-
The game could not go on without Lucas. And so, it isn't.
-
I'm surprised I don't see more /TA controllers. It is the most "controllery" of the secondaries.

Quote:And these days, you can just use a couple of enhancement unslotters to switch just the procs around, if that is what you want to do. That is sooooooo much easier than a full respec and opening yourself up to making a mistake somewhere in the build. I know, I have made those stupid respec mistakes myself several times.Overall, odds are pretty good that you won't even notice the changes unless you're specifically watching for the difference, and odds are also pretty good that you can turn it into a significant net buff by respeccing for i24-optimization rather than i23-optimization.

Thanks, Rednames!
Also, belated Happy Birthday to Jack Kirby. -

From Mrs. Lucas:
Quote:I can hardly express how grateful I am for everyone's attendance at this raid for Lucas (Eric). It was so good of you all to take the time to remember him this way. Your kindness and compassion mean a great deal to us. I know that Lucas would be amazed that all of the kind words. He loved playing COH and he enjoyed the friendships he made in game. Warmest Regards, Mrs. Lucas and the little Lu's -
I wanted to thank everyone who came and participated in the back to back Hammy raids, complete with noob-holding Kronos, the memorial in Pocket D, and the PvPing afterwards in Warburg. Special thanks to Fanny (Diana Andrews) for organizing and to Zwillinger for making an appearance as Kronos.
Hug your kids, call your mom, kiss your partner. Do it now. We have now, but we don't know whether we'll have a chance later.
Goodbye my virtual brother. You were a glorious *******. -
I think they should add a PvP functionality to AE if they can't bring back base raids. And if they did that, perhaps they could add a map editor for PvP only. I limited it to PvP only because I can easily see how it could be exploited for farming.
-
Of the three, the first build would seem to be the most survivable, but seems to lack single target damage.
I wouldn't play the third one at all.
Here's a fourth option: resistance and some defense.
