I feel that it's safe to say, thanks to a lack of a dead straight answer that brutes, for example, will NOT be getting access to the existing scrapper or tank APP.
Instead, a new hero brute APP will be created.
Whether this means brutes will have access to CP or PP remains to be seen.
It also means that you can start utilizing your dual builds more. 1 build that you don't respec after swapping sides to keep your existing pool, and another that utilizes the new pool.
IantheM1 raises a valid concern, however. If I swap sides and never take the new pool, and then a power in that pool gets changed, I have to spend 3 weeks (thanks to the not-so-wonderful decision of a cooldown period) before I can change my build or I get stuck with a new pool that may not suit my build. -
You can also add Damage Buff to the things you have in your combat monitor. It only fires off 5% of the time and only lasts 5 seconds, so it's often easy to miss.
Sure was nice seeing my damage buff suddenly bounce up 200% on the extremely rare occasion that my Gaussian CFBU in Followup fired off right before the Decimation CFBU I had in Focus fired off. -
Back when I did the work for the DPS threads in the scrapper forum, I found that the Chance for Buildup Procs added about the same damage over time as one of the damage procs from, say, Mako's Bite set which has a 20% chance of 71.8 damage. So while I have taken the Gaussian CFBU out of followup these days on my claws scrapper, I still have the decimation CFBU in focus.

Yea. Only took 6 years to fix the ATI bugs, give 'em time.
/kinda joking -
Quote:I had submitted the same question.Still hope they'll answer my question about SG invites to offline folks...been wanting that for a while now.
But I asked it in my Les Nessman guise, so they may have ignore it.
I've PMed the same question to War Witch. No response there either.
Makes me wonder.
Castle, Two Follow Up Questions, one Regarding Follow Up:
Any chance we can remove the cast time damage tweak to claws?
Are new APPs being generated for those that swap sides? Meaning, will a hero brute have access to it's own hero-brute APP rather than use scrapper or tank pools? -
Arcanatime is the adjusted cast time. You only use one of them.
So DPA = final damage/arcanatime
DPS should really only be used for a full chain, including any pauses that might be in that chain.
So DPS = Total chain damage/total arcanatime of chain -
I wouldn't bother, Flea. They probably have a bunch of questions and are picking the ones they want to answer.

The maximum DamagePerSecond of an unenhanced attack is its DamagePerActivation. Activation is also called Cast Time.
A lot of data can be found http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/ but I'm unsure how up to date that is.
What's missing there can be found in game using the Real Numbers.
Or are you asking for something completely different? I do all my attack chains by hand in excel. -
Quote:No, sir, I don't like the sound of that.
Can you give us some more detail on how morality arcs will work, and approximately how much time it will take to switch from Hero to Vigilante, and then from Vigilante to Rogue? by mentalgiant
Posi- There is a cooldown timer that will slow the process. We are still working on the exact numbers, but we're eyeballing a week's worth of work to switch one degree. -

Yup! Go to plaync.com, log in with your master account credentials, head over to your CoH account and you should see a link for "Download Installer" or something close to that.
Then one night before you go to bed, run that executable, tell it what directory to use for installation, and crash. By the time you get up the next day it should be completed. -
Here's a question for the devs:
Do you find it amusing that there are people paying a $15 per month subscription fees for a game they obviously hate just so that they can come to the forums and whine like two year olds day in and day out?
Certainly amuses me. -
When it comes to ATi's drivers, one thing I've pretty much always stuck to is this:
Run the latest drivers unless they actually break something. I didn't consider the "change shadows in game, have FPS plummet" a break, especially when using /reloadgfx fixed it. -

I don't have a PvP build, at the moment, but I have been known to accept an arena invite from time to time. -
Emberly, are you running the 10.3s from ATI?

And one of these days, I need to get the resources to make the four live-action COH commercials I want to do. -

And so it begins...
Soon Sam will be calculating the exact recharge needed per attack for specifically calculated attack chains, choosing set bonuses that will grant the precise amount of global recharge necessary for those chains, and reconfiguring his builds with stamina to fuel those attack chains.
200 DPS, Sam... the goal is 200 DPS.

I'm looking at whether there might be some merit in creating dual-aspect enhancements that are not tied to any specific set, are not restricted to only one instance per power and come in all varieties you could need -
I have to wonder if those having problems are having those problems because they insist on using the program files directory.
As I don't use directories with spaces in the name and I don't ever install games to Program Files, I've yet to experience any oddities, nor do I ever need quotation marks in my target lines. -
Make sure you're using an Aero theme. If not, choose one of them, then retry. I had to enable an Aero theme to get alt-tabbing to work on my new rig with Win7.
-
I think I'm confused. The purpose of this question is to find out if ONLY the dual-aspect enhancements are worth enough for the salvage they utilize when making them?
