  1. I was happy to delete my level 50 peacebringer. Until I came back this last time to find out that they can now have perma-capped dam-res.

I was happy to delete my very first villain to 50 because EM/FA became a complete joke. I was not happy that EM/FA had become a complete joke. I didn't enjoy getting all the accolades on him the second time. Ok, I hate badging... I didn't enjoy that the first time.

I didn't delete Bill Z Bubba the scrapper to make him into a brute. I just moved him. He will never be deleted by me.
  2. They could also add pvp elusivity to defense sets in pve, if that's even possible. Don't get me wrong, I'd just as soon see the defense sets all get buffed with non-defense mitigation or other tools to bring them on line with the other sets that are now adding soft-capped defense on top of their already solid non-defense mitigation.

As for following your strategy... I'm already sitting on ~100 billion liquid influence and I don't know what to do with it. I resubbed 15 days ago partly because I didn't want those market bids storing the money to vanish, as at that point it was 59 days since I stopped paying. Yep, I guess I value pretendy pixel money I don't even have an use for in a game I don't even play anymore, because omgz there's a lot of zeroes in 100B. That's sad enough, and you want me to earn *more*?...
... you could save me the hassle of stripping all of old BZB's IOs by giving me 10 billion.

As they should. IOs grant way too much of it which caused the devs to crank up the base tohit on new critters which in turn nerfed all the defense based sets.

Critters need to go back to base 50% tohit across the board and IO-based defense needs to be slashed.

Basic desktop here. I7 processor (quadcore with hyperthreading) with 12 gigs of RAM, win7, an ati 5870 vid card and the -stopinactivedisplay flag. Some down-tweaking of settings.

    Melee_InherentTaunt is 13.6 at level 50.
Melee_Ones is of course 1.0 across the board.
Understood and thanks for that correction/info.

I've not PMed Synapse before... I'll do it!

Yet nothing has been done to re-balance this.
Not quite nothing. The HP buff and ability to use three attacks while mezzed wasn't added all that long ago, was it?

Guess I'll just bug PinnBadges for pads instead after I re-incarnate myself. (hopefully)
  9. I'm perfectly happy with the order on brute/tank SR to be honest. I seriously doubt they'd ever go back and fix scrapper SR.

That said, I'll stick with my last buff request for SR:
Make PB act as a breakfree.
Allow the passives to be slotted for dam-res.
  10. Now I just need to create 6 more accounts so that I can solo the STF and LRSF! mmuuuhahhahaahahahahah

Fear the power of my cigar!
  11. Even though this is a necrothread, has anyone verified that you have to use a unique email address to create new accounts as someone mentioned upthread? I ask because I've got the same email addy on my two accounts and plan to crank up a couple more.
  12. Need more info.

With insps or without? With level shifts or without? With temp powers or without?

If with everything, my main could probably solo her. (Well, before I started stripping his IOs.) He took down a lvl 54 Marauder the other day.

With that said, people already are accomplishing these tasks just using bypasses to the team minimum. Rather than using a bypass, there should be a big red:
This Task is designed for a larger team than you have, do you still wish to proceed? Yes/No
This way you allow people to give it a try, and if they fail, they were warned. If the limit is to keep them from succeeding at what they can succeed at but you do not wish them to accomplish with a small team because small teams can't handle it, that's another matter entirely. I hope that isn't it because that's a logical fallacy right thar.

The warning method allows people to try and fail. If they fail, it proves its necessity, but allows people to access content they want to try in a way they wish to try it. The minimum bypass, using fillers and such, proves the lack of necessity for the minimum size limit and undermines the whole reason for a team minimum. ("Four people could never do this 8 person task! So have four people afk/quit while 4 do it!")
I've been asking for specifically that for years now. I don't see the devs changing course on it now.

As it stands, I can run 7 clients on my rig. A little tweaking and I'll be able to do 8. All I have to do is use free accounts to start them and I can "solo" every non-incarnate TF in the game by using "everybody quits except for your one logoff pad to keep the TF alive" workaround.

It sucks, but the fact of the matter is that the devs believe the majority of their playerbase are a bunch of drooling retards that even with such a big red notice they'll all come crying to the forums that such and such TF is too hard because they didn't take enough people (or have good enough builds/skills) to handle it.

It's the same low opinion of the playerbase that has blocked kheldians from the flight and teleport pools all these years.

Because it's still a costume bundle. It's a costume bundle missing swords and axes. Probably because we're going to see a weapons pack in the not so distant future.

Freedom means having the freedom to nickle and dime your playerbase.

And SR/ Tankers need an aggro aura that is stronger than 1 second. I mean, come on, Devs.
I'm betting that it's actually 1.3 seconds and someone put the decimal in the wrong place since brute evasion is 13 going off of CoD.

Why this hasn't been fixed yet is beyond my ability to explain nicely.

  18. Mez protection. If squishies had it, I'd play them. And they wouldn't be called squishies.

And no, everyone doesn't have access to IOs. Free and lower tier Premium do not.
While this is now true, it's a recent development. The defense based sets have all been at a major disadvantage in their ability to keep up thanks to the preponderance of defense available through inventions.

Ignoring that fact isn't something I plan to do.

But scrappers? Scrappers have style, baby. It's not called 'brutelock' after all. Going all wild-eyed, dodging defeat with every second of the fight, chugging your whole inspiration tray, WINNING....then diving straight into the next spawn without pausing? That's scrapperlock, and it's awesome.

And Tankers.... Well-played, tanks are the strategic masters of the battlefield. Tankers at the top end run fast but smoooth, baby. You're always on the go, but never in a rush, you're never frantic. It's all about calm maneuver, assessment of the situation, and driving the pace of conflict. Nirvana in combat, man.
.... Scrapperlock is what makes me play my brutes so well. No fury decay here, mang.

Yes, some people can soft-cap blasters, etc, etc. But not everyone can - or is even going to bother trying, since they'll have no interest in it (or no access to IOs.) For those people, FF adding Defense and then more Defense is a good thing (not to mention some degree of crowd control in Force Bubble, Repulsion Bomb, Repulsion Field, etc.)
Everyone has access to IOs. Whether someone chooses to utilize them is irrelevant to the fact that they can.
  22. Super Reflexes. As a one trick pony (granted, a very good trick) it is surpassed in the end game by all the other melee mitigation sets.

This issue was brought into sharp focus with the implementation of IOs and the way that everyone can achieve near SR levels of defense on top of the mitigation their own sets provide.

    I would want two changes:
Allow practiced brawler to act as a breakfree.
Allow the passives to also be slotted for dam-res so that the passive scaling dam-res could be enhanced.
  23. Roger that and thanks, FX. I'll dive into it more tonight and see where it leads.
  24. What's with the funky looking recharge IOs?
