    Again, no, please. I don't want to see advertising in the game I'm playing and have been playing since Sep of '04. Ever. Advertise the game away from the game. Don't seek revenue by attempting to sell crap to me that isn't specifically game related like the packs.

    I need more recharge. Without adding hasten to the build. More damage would be nice. Please assist, preferably in a way that won't necessitate another respec. Thanks much.

    On TR2, created new claws/wp brute, chose Burke as Mercy contact, client bombed out with "No mapServer connection. Try again."

    Logged back in, chose the new character, named Father Claws, noticed he lacks the villain icon next to his name, got error: "InvalidPlayerInfo." Also note, his title is listed as "Level 1 - OfflineString OfflineString - 3758 days offline"

    Edit 2: Attempted to recreate character after deletion, chose default options since the same costume came up, upon clicking Burke, got error: "Lost connection to DBserver"

    Edit 3: Third try, this time chose to enter tutorial, went in fine.

    Edit 4: and then bombed back out when loading into Mercy after finishing tutorial.

    Conclusion? Mercy zone is fragged. Can ANYONE get to Mercy?

    Which brings us back to the point of the OP. I noticed that my performance on TR2 was a little better than I had been getting. Whether this was due to this new tech, or due to the removal of the performance monitoring tools they were using for a bit, or due to the low population at the time, I do not know.

    And let's not forget that a kat/sr scrapper can hit the softcap to melee at level... 8.

    Divine Avalanche can doublestack out of the box without any enhancements. There's 30% right there. FF with 3 TOs is around 16%.

    Done. Softcapped to melee. With TOs.

    In other words, I just can't buy this argument that the peak doesn't matter. Will Tank SR peak a lot earlier? Yes. And then it hits a wall while the other sets catch up.

    If SR is broken on a tank, then defense itself and the entire game's balance is broken.

    Maybe it is. Would SR on a tank be good? Sure. No doubt about it. But the SR tank will still have crappy damage output, issues with tohit buffs and autohit attacks, will suck until level 22 and SOs like all SR users, and due to all the aggro management, getting hit a LOT even softcapped just by the number of those rolling that magic 5%.

    Tanks got shields, they should get SR.

    I use the ignore feature. Some of the posters here are, quite frankly, not worth reading.

    Unfortunately, ignore doesn't hide a poster's existence.

    Problem one is you still see on every post "Post hidden, you are ignoring this user." Annoying, yes, but oh well, no biggy, I still don't have to read their spew.

    Until I decide to use a search shortcut to find threads that I've been posting in.

    If I search on "bill z" to dig up posts that were made in reply to post I've made, I then see the text of said replies even if made by someone I have on ignore.

    Does anyone know if this can be resolved, or is my only option to not use that search shortcut?

    If you have all three passives, the amount of DR you get is equal to (60 - Your Health %) / 3 * the number of passives you have

    So at 30% health with all three passives:

    (60-30) / 3 * 3 = 30% DR

    At 30% health with 1 passive:

    (60-30) / 3 * 1 = 10% DR

    I think I'm less concerned with the controllery aspects of dark blast simply based on the fact that dark blasts damage output is already lessened in relation to the other blasts sets as a balance point.

    Regardless, I'm glad to see I'm not alone at all in the desire to get a dark/dark blaster combo.

    I did not think about the -resistance on tar patch. I was locked in on using it to keep foes out of melee. I could see that being problematic when paired with a higher damage primary like fire blast. Perhaps fearsome stare would be better.

    I went with tar patch because I needed an AoE mitigation tool along the lines of ice patch, caltrops/smokegrenade, lightning clap and burn/hotfeet.

    Swapping it out for ToF would leave the set too weak on the aoe mitigation front, I think.
