Quote:It's science, but it works like magic?Pretty much what has been released so far re: the cossie.
Hugo Weaving looks pretty damn creepy as the Red Skull, and his secret lab headquarters (on the day i walked around it on-set) is really brilliant set design.
Tip: In the original post, see those Hydra soldiers in the background? - see that blue glow coming from their weapons apparatus/cossie? ..... OoOh!, I wonder what power-source could be powering said weapons!
(Get that and you'll get 'a' link between Captain America, Thor and the Avengers). -
Quote:the comic shop is still a geek ghetto. where we're sequestered away from the 'serious' people too busy to enjoy our hobby. they also tend to look down upon it and us because we haven't "grown out of them" yetNever saw any comic book vending machines. Around here they were on those spinner rack thingees that were around 5 or so feet tall, and they were in grocery stores, drug stores, convenience stores, and book stores.
The ones in the grocery stores here nowadays are mostly reprints, and those other places don't have any at all. So, thank goodness for the local comic book shop! -
Back in the mid 60's, they actually had comic book VENDING MACHINES in grocery stores. They were common place and part of the cultural scenery in the late Silver Age. Not ghetto-ized and hidden away like a shameful addiction. The "Comic Book Store" was definitely a bad turn of events for the industry

Quote:And you, sir, need to grow some kind of sense about video game design and balancing. Everything you want would require a completely different game engine and would also make this game even more niche than it is. Don't you ever wonder why none of the Super Hero based video games are built around the ideas you champion?Jab could only wish to be so interesting.
[Edit]
To elaborate, I didn't just play the JLA: Act of God card lightly.
I feel it's quite appropriate to what you always seemed to champion and part of what's wrong with the game: Blue Blue powered down, useless and ineffectual with his ideal **** upon. A gigantic swooning love letter to how 'awsum' Bat-Scrapper is while basically flipping off the Atom, Martian Manhunter, the Flash and other heroes. A massive mishandling of a cool idea that had potential.
.
I love comic books. If they could cook, I'd marry them -
Quote:I always found the Disco Boys to be classic. And the fact that Casanova Frankenstein could call on an army of separately themed goons was great!I will admit that rarely are our villains this:
and a bit more often this:
but I think that the devs at least try to give us this:
They just need more of them.
Isn't Nemesis our Magneto equivalent? Emperor Cole is our Zod. Maybe we need more, but we have those avenues covered -

Quote:Theory: Emperor Cole has to wear those golden gloves to hide the fact that he's fighting a DE spore infectionHmmmm I'd rather see the old COH/V zones updated first, then go with new Zones.
I'd like to see a lvl 40-50 zone in Praetoria thats actually outside the sonic barriers. Seeing how the world has been ravaged by DE, and maybe seeing some Human/DE mutations that you'd have to fight.
Then you'd have your Praetorian Hami nearby for a Trial/TF.
Then just for kicks I'd love to see an Ancient Asian type zone kind of like Cimerora, fighting Shogun/Samurais and maybe even some ninjas. Then save the zone from a giant Dragon! YAY! -
Quote:I wasn't aware that the branding of livestock was considered 'abuse' now. Just because your horse is a pet GG doesn't mean that there aren't business owners who need to mark their property as suchHorse abuse isn't really that funny - just like any other animal abuse.

Quote:I will complain constantly if Loyalists do not get a chance to run TFs that counter those. The Devs need to quit picking sides in Praetoria after letting Villains counter hero content in the regular gameSomeone should tell Heroes that before we start the new Incarnate TFs

Quote:Sure you can. If you explain why you're leaving they might not even hate youThis. A thousand times this. It's not TALKING to other people. It's the need to deal with other people. When you join a TF team, you are making a commitment to deal with these other people until the task is done. You can't just walk away when you stop having fun and start feeling drained.
