The US is pretty terrible at football. No matter who the coach is it's always 'at least four touches before you shoot'. The ponderous pass-pass-pass slow tempo makes my head hurt

What else can I do but watch the tournament and find a team that plays a game that's enjoyable to watch?

You still get a "You're welcome!" for that kinda-sorta "Thank you"
  3. hmm,

I enjoy World Football and cheered for Portugal during the last World Cup (love the up-tempo game).

Does this mean I'll lose my standing as a "true" Murikan?

    Ooooooooh!!!

It refers to a way that a man would move, as if he were wearing a skirt

    'Working it', as it were

It's the southern US accent? I always wondered why the Deutscher-girl foreign exchange students wanted me around so much

But Paragon Studios in in the SF Bay area, California, USA

gotta try and adapt to their preferences now
  7. Well, at least now there's some kind of time-line

Loyalty bonuses being tracked between August and November 15th. That has some bearing into whether or not you get GoRo beta access. This would mean closed beta might start between later November and the Winter Event.

GoRo in stores by April 1st? Let's hope so
  8. Welcome aboard

As we are two great nations separated by a common language

  9. Goodbye old boards

3 years + of putting up with my inane comments is enough

    Take a rest, old friend

We want ice to look like 'ice' and because of how the FX were created when you apply a very saturated, non-cool hue to them they no longer look like ice and instead look like a cartoonish jewel.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Funny you should say that, because there is a well-known comic book character that can be described as fighting with what often looks like cartoonish jewels.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The Doc is also a well known comic book character that hasn't been written well in over 20 years

    Unfortunately

Really? I actually like the new MA attacks and plan to make a new scrapper specifically to use them!

And a new scrapper to use the metal spines

Plus a new brute for the claws

    Altitis? Ai gotz it

    Gratz on the new level!

What APP are you going to pick? Teenager control or Harm Ex?
  14. Looking for a new career path Zek?

We used to have that, but the large number of 1 star bandits made it a useless system.

This doesn't surpise me Allakazam has this. I loved it.

    You was trollin'!
  16. Take a bow, man

    and a rest

You are the very best animator in the business in my eyes

    Gauntlet 2.0

    Yeah yeah yeah

That quote is four years WRONG too. Quit digging it up and using it for your private crusade.

You complain more about that one sentence than everyone else on these boards complains about the Cathedral of Pain trial

AND THAT WAS PRINTED ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CoV BOX

    .

    a point YOU missed

Stalker - Shields or fire melee

    [/ QUOTE ]
Shields doesn't mesh with most stalkers sets or the stalker theme. Fire melee functionally double but breaks theme since how stealthy is a man on fire?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Where there's fire, there's smoke...and smoke hides just as well as being invisible. I could easily see a Fiery Melee or Fiery Aura Stalker work. Especially if Placate and Hide involved vanishing into a swirling mass of smoke and embers, and then reappearing in a sudden blazing flash when you strike, like a backdraft.

That could be pretty darn cool.

    [/ QUOTE ]

BaBs, you are totally the BEST

    FAHR STAWKRZ NAOH PLZ!
  19. Good to know that you've found a new best friend

    Stay happy!
  20. Just dinged 50 yesterday (after 3 years of trying lol) and rolled a PB

Like others have said, I play mainly Tanks and Blasters and am very familiar with the Blapper style of play. So far, Silver Starshine has only tasted the floor once in 15 levels. Pretty close to my lowbie record! I think it's PB for me
  21. BigFish

    My first 50...

    ...and it's a TANKER

Say what you will about tanks and their supposed 'plight', but I've made more friends on Lucomo (wp/ss) than any other toon!

This day has been three years in the making and would've been impossible without Tankers and all of you who love them
  22. BigFish

    I met a newbie!

the first time my jaw ever dropped while playing was when I saw someone teleport off the roof of the Port Oakes arena on my first day in game

and the chills down my spine when I saw Ghost Widow the first time I ran the Seer Marino arc

the enjoyment has never stopped, but the first times were awesome

    edited for spelling
  23. Spiders

They are helpful beasts who keep pests from over running your home

They're also so adaptable you can find them everywhere except Antarctica

You're never more than three feet/one meter away from a spider at any time
