  1. For some reason, I can't do jack against Trapdoor soloing him with my Fire/Fire tank.

I have lured him deep into the hallway, away from his bifurcations.

I have lured him into the lava.

I have pounded on his Bifurcations, but he seems to spawn them too fast for me to actually get back to him and do any damage.
  2. My Bots/Traps works best keeping the Bots in bodyguard mode and using Provoke to get the aggro on myself.

As long as the bots stay close enough to me to take advantage of Maneuvers and my forcefield drone, they stay alive and well.

I'll have to re-apply bodyguard mode when they stray off.
  3. I finally completed the mission last night. (I even had to visit the hospital a couple more times.) I adjusted my difficulty down after the mission, just so ya know.

I had no issues at all. I guess maybe it was my karma that cause the issue at home and at work.

    Weird!
  4. I had a crash last night when I died in an RWZ mission (Levantera, rescuing the 3 Longbows captured by the Rikti). I hit the "go to hospital" button, and the game locked up. I had to do a hard reboot to get my system functional again.

Today, I did the same mission at work, totally different city, computer, internet provider, etc, and I had the exact same crash. I had to hard reboot my work system as well.

Is this mission bugged? Or is there a bigger issue?

    Fire Armor good?

I have a level 46 fire/fire tank. She is uber against CoT demons. She is very good against Nemesis and Rikti. I like to run her at +1/x6. I could max out the demons and have no issues.

Cold damage is nearly as big of a hole as psi. My resistances are 90% fire, 72% S/L, 40-something % E/NE, 10+% Cold, zero Psi. That is with fully slotted fire and plasma armors and tough. I don't have Temperature Protection yet.

The absolute worst are those Vanguard soldiers in Gaussian's arc. I had to drop down to +0/x1 for that arc.

The Roman soldiers in Cimerora are scary tough as well.

Fire/Fire is a fun build. You really want Rise of the Phoenix. Once you get Burn, your levels start to fly. It is not the most powerful set for survival by far. Yes, you want to kill before you are killed. It is fun, for sure, a very different playstyle from playing other tanks.
  6. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who will delete a toon in the 35-42 range.
  7. My Thugs/Dark is a bad ****. You can work wonders when the enemy can't hit you.

Big heal, too. Yeah, thugs are all over the place with mixed melee/ranged attacks. Darkest night is your friend!
  8. On my level 50 Thugs/Dark, I had no attacks (except the vet attacks) until I got some Ghost Widow goodness.

I tend to play my MMs like I am a defender with my own little team. I keep them alive and they kill stuff.

I haven't played a Ninja MM to any decent level. I have a Necro/Therm at 20 that is fun, but is a different animal.
  9. I had a Mind/TA and got him up to lvl 41. The redraw drove me insane!

I liked TA because it added extra goodness to Mind, which is good as-is.

    The redraw made me crazy.
  10. Claws has killer AOE goodness with Spin at level 8. It does fantastic damage, and is better than its scrapper counterpart.

Claws/WP would be a great set to level with.

SS/WP would as well. Rage is awesome not just for the damage boost, but also for the + To Hit. It helps with your slotting on brutes.

Also, if you slot attacks with an end reduction, you won't have many endurance issues with just Stamina.

I slot my Brutes 2acc/2dam/1 end red/1 recharge red. Unless is is a SS brute, then I use 1 acc and 3 dam with the others as listed.
  11. Great news! I am a happy camper then. I am glad it is being addressed.
  12. Thanks for the info. Stinks of bug to me.

Hopefully this gets addressed. I actually like the original SS attack animations better than the new one. MA is fine, but I really like the kicks mixed with punches like the new animations have.
  13. It isn't a dealbreaker for me either.

If an SD/SS tank or SS/SD brute can punch, why can't an MA/SD scrapper?

    Goofy.
  14. My freshly-rolled MA/Shield scrapper simply refused to show the punching attack graphics.

I had them individually selected in the costume shop originally. Only the kick graphics would display.

Then I went to Icon in Steel Canyon at level 4 to see if I did something wrong. I made sure the bright punch graphics were shown. Still only kick animations.

Finally I went back to Icon at level 5 (in Steel again), I chose for all of MA to show whatever punch animations they have available (I do know that thunder kick is kick-only, while you have a choice for storm kick and some of the other powers). Grrr... No good.

So is this a known issue with MA combined with Shield? Or is it an MA issue as a whole?
  15. So what is the damage like with Ice/Ice tankers now? I solo mostly. I had an ice/ice tank before, but he did such crappy damage, even up to the early 40s that I deleted him.
