  1. I think Paragon should be routinely invaded by Lord Recluse's Giant Spider Invasion; to wit, a giant mechanical spider-type transport shows up that disembarks 50 Bane Spider Executioners.

This transport should be about the size of an AT-AT - that is, BIG - and imagine the fun in Atlas
  2. *Do you feel that doing more than say one hero and one villain is doing 'too much at once'?

yes. Although I am doing the same thing.

*Do you feel a shift has occured to more time devoted soley to level 50's leaving far less time to level an alt?

Very much so. I am playing two MMOs now. This means that my time in CoX is mostly devoted to my 50s, trying to get them what they need. Out of 15 level 50s, almost all of them have Incarnate unlocked but only two are at the point where they are level-shifted. I admit to quite a bit of impatience with perceived inequalities of shard drops: for instance, they fall like rain for my Tank but my Blasters are lucky to get 2-3 for an entire TF. Its very frustrating, because they are no less deserving.

Alts under level 50 are a little neglected these days as I fight to get people equipped decently.

*Do you think changing the Weekly Task Force to a Bi-montly Task Force would be 'better'? Perhaps offering a more relaxed atmosphere for the playerbase?

Whether this TF or that one, the pressure will still be on.

Not gonna happen. But, the Distinguished Competition has a staff-fighting set, and I must say this is hella cool. And you can customize the staff with many pretty variants, some of which have glow-in-the-dark parts. We could use this over here.

Heaven forfend that someone, somewhere do something that makes it one smidgen easier to reach the literal last outpost in the game: the Storm Palace. NO TP FOR YOU! No! You will trudge barefoot through the snow at Walk speed to get there, and you will like it!

I have to say that badge-hunting in the Shard is an exercise in patience. Baby, you better really want those badges, cause they ain't gonna come easy. "King of Pain," indeed.

Citadel is actually my least favorite TF of all time. I actually like Dr Q better than that, and no I am not joking. The underground Council base is my least fav map ever - yes, even least-er than the CoT doughnut cave room map - and so I have almost no incentive to run it except on people who need that badge.

Good gawd devs, please pull a Positron on the rest of these ancient, repetitive TF warhorses. Ugh. Yesterday is not too soon.

i like the "gadget fight" elements, but it doesn't make up for the general annoyance of "keep hitting him until either he falls or team DPS drops too low from the players dozing off at their desks waiting for him to fall."

Still, got the Notice of the Well, so i guess it was for something worthwhile.
Although after some thought I have decided to keep my account current, Reischmann was a big factor in a recent cancelling of my account. I'm back now. But Reischmann is one of the worst TFs in the entire game. I am maintaining my account SOLELY because I love my CoX characters and don't want to abandon them.... but....

I had been mulling over a decision to try the most recent superhero-genre game out the gate. The night before I cancelled my NCSoft account, I was on a team that beat on Reischmann for 30+ minutes.

Thirty minutes, people. Thirty minutes of the exact same thing. Well, other than my Blaster being repeatedly stunned and killed - I do carry a lot of BFs, but my inspiration-capacity does have a limit.

Right before we finally beat Reischmann, I thought, "You know, I have been here since 2006 AND **** THIS!!" I was bored. I finally *realized* that I was bored. And I decided to give That New Game a try. It was like I hit critical mass with CoX.

Also adding to my frustration: I am primarily a solo player. I am having TREMENDOUS trouble alpha-slotting my level 50s since I mostly solo. If I team for the TF Of The Week, well looky-here! Its always a speed-run because someone has an hour to play, so we cant do a shard-run... and I end up with two shards. Whoopee-****ing do, people. This is locking me out of end-game content. Out of 15 level 50s, THREE, a total of THREE have the alpha slot filled. Only one of those is at third tier.

Now some may shout, "BAD MIGHT LEAVE THE GAME, WOOOOOO-HOOOOO!" true enough, but try to look past that, and realize that this mindset is not that hot of a thing for CoX. Boredom and making it impossible for people to attain end-game stuff is not a recipe for keeping people in this game. Other New Shinies are out there..... and although of course they don't have all of the bells and whistles that CoX has after [?] years, they're...still pretty new and shiny. AND THEY DON"T HAVE YOU BEATING ON THE SAME FREAKING GUY FOR A HALF-HOUR!

The developers might want to rethink this stance manifested by an AV such as Reischmann. I mean, my account is still current; but I spend the majority of my gaming-time over in The New Shiny these days. Reischmann is Epic Fail and my not being able to get my 50s to the true end-game content is Epic Fail. If you disagree, that is [general] your right, but meanwhile my CoX account is mostly stagnant.

I wonder how many are in that same boat with "FRUSTRATION" writ large across the stern? Not everyone, but I'd bet money I'm not the only one somewhat disillusioned at this point.

This is just me, if I am already iffy about a character I am probably not going to deem them worthy of a ten-dollar further outlay - I'm just going to clear them off the roster.

This is not something I am proud of. I leveled two toons from 1-50 during that dark time, and deleted them both because I just felt dirty.
I was with you until that last comma, and then you spun off into an alternate universe as I scratched my head and wondered about the concept of "guilt" in a milieu where what you did hurt exactly no one. Not even yourself.
  9. Yes I have deleted a 50: my Broadsword/dark armor scrapper. He was beautiful. I loved how he looked; but I find BS unbearably slow and sludgy. This after I went to the trouble of unlocking Vanguard and Rulaaru weapons on him.

Also deleted: a level 42 mace Tanker. I almost never delete after level 35, but this was a special case of "I have had *enough* of this crap!"

This freed up spots on my home server and actually ended up being a huge relief. Gone was my guilt over not playing these two.

All of my level 50s have open beaks: from 47 on is when I begin serious crafting. This takes a ton of inf. and salvage, of course, and that has to go to the folks whom I love best. That's a lot of time, farming and effort for every one of those. Simple economics, really.

NOT ANYMORE! Now I am leaping all over the place like some latter day rabbit on steroids, even with Hurdle unslotted. This is most noticeable in missions such as Trapdoor's, where I have to jump down twenty vents in the floor to progresss through the map - and in a tight space, at that.

I'd be fine with nerfing Hurdle and buffing Swift. People who SJ are way too catered-to in this game and Flight needs a little love. For people who love to jump, their stuff has no downsides. Can Flight say the same? We all know the answer.

All the better, and illustrating my earlier point nicely: the hands are already in the game.. Enable them with NEW GLOVES COMING OUT, everyone happy and problem solved.

Speaking generally, I have never said that all old glove art should be redone. NEW. GLOVES. ONLY.

Someone else: It can be done... it may very well be done... but it'll be a HUGE amount of resources invested to do.
Oh balderdash! The gloves are in the game RIGHT THIS MINUTE. Artwork already done. Animation already done. We should not even have to have this argument, this should have been ported over for player use aeons ago. Make it happen, devs.
  13. Quote:
When you change a glove, you're changing the to different "meshes" that still sit on top of that same skeleton "skeleton." That skeleton is what has the three simple mittenlike hinges in them. There isn't a way to change that skeleton "just for these hands." When you replace it, you'll be replacing it for all the character models, and *probably* need to alter all the hands in the game to that new mesh.
Well, that's a nice explaination but does nothing to address why, right this minute, Arachnos have seperate fingers while we the players do not.

Again, I have no expectation that the art department is going to go through all the old gloves and change every last one of them. New gloves, however at the very least should be at least as good as the Arachnos hands - which are in the game now. I do not believe this is too much to ask.
  14. Y'know, I'm easy. I don't really expect them to go through every old glove in the game and animate the fingers; this is not a realistic expectation.

However, some NEW gloves with separate/animated fingers would be extremely nice. Because the oven-mitts in this game look extremely bad, and everyone knows it. I think even the developers know it.... so ok, start doing something about it, I say.

Jealous? I have my own rack. I'm secure enough about it to not need continual validation of my charms on a freakin' MMORPG message board.

As for whether or not my prior post is "factual," people here are not idiots and they can judge Golden Irrelevancy's posts for themselves because her behavior is not all that hard to suss out

I haven't got anything against ginormous racks, myself. More's the pity.
"What are you wearing?" chatrooms are the place for pix/talk of ginormous racks; not here. But perhaps that is just me.

When someone has to resort to bragging about said rack in an effort to keep attention on herself [and posting the pictures that she does is doing just that], this really says all that need be said. Adulation should be won due to the wit and wisdom, or even the controversy, of one's posts - not one's rack. Unless, of course, one is in a What Are You Wearing? forum.

But I am not male, no doubt you see it differently.
  17. First, I want Belladonna's boots. But then, I want Desdemona's boots TOO, so I am probably doomed to unhappiness on both counts.

However I also want Belladonna's HAIR, and yes I want it that long. Just give us the hair and disable capes on characters that choose it. Done. I don't see the problem.

I say everyone gets access to the hair, with the exception of all of Golden Irrelevancy's accounts. It is simply amazing how this one person can swing each and every thread she is in - and she's in all of them - to discussion of her, her merits, her faults, her continual derailing of threads, her alleged ginormous rack, how wonderfully perky/cute she thinks she is, etc etc etc AD NAUSEUM.

I can think of no better punishment for the annoyance this causes the rest of the playerbase, than that.

For the last five years of my mare's life, I rarely got on her back. She was a pet. A very expensive pet, but a pet - not a working animal.

If you love horses, you enjoy their company without having to be running them all over the countryside in a mad dash.

Back the the subject at hand: we already have a "fish" head, it was in the Mutant pack. My money is on that being as fishy as it gets, folks.

Some of us do not wish to be trounced, tackled, pounced or bear-hugged by perfect strangers. Ixnay to enabling player closeness in such a fashion.... and 90% of the time this would be used by people you don't even know, as you stand there at the market trying to decide if you really want to pay that much for a Stabilized Mutant Genome.

  20. Yes, an attractive, aesthetically-pleasing, noble-looking dragon head. Like that one.

As for horses being evil, I owned one for 15 years and they ARE evil. You love them, and they come to love you. But they're evil, as in completely and totally self-interested. This makes sense from the horse's point of view, true; you as the owner work around their deadly self-interest and this is what makes owning them fascinating.

That, and their beauty. But they're evil, not least to your bank account. Bring money. A horse'll cost you plenty.

Back to the subject: bring the nice-looking dragon heads, thanks please.
  21. For the love of Mike, the following:

ATTRACTIVE CANINE HEADS. Not stupid looking ones like we have now, and this incudes the dog/pig head worn by Warwolves, that we don't even have access to. Hate all current canine heads, make with some nice ones PLEASE.

CAT HEADS. Not only the nice looking one we got the tiny shot of, but patterns that will enable housecat and tiger patterns. Those might actually be doable with one stripe pattern.

ALLOW HAIR WITH THE DOG AND CAT HEADS. This includes a nice lion mane as a hair option with the new heads. Thank u.

AN ATTRACTIVE DRAGON HEAD. Come on, the game is umpteen years old, its time and past time for this.

I would like to see antlers as a head option, but if we can get even part of the above I would be pleased. We're not getting platypuses, folks. We're not getting duck heads. Throw that right out of your minds, we will be lucky to get even *part* of the above and you know deep down in your hearts that I speak truth.
  22. ...So we still don't get the entire Vanguard shoulder piece, as worn by NPCs? What, is it made of solid platinum?

  24. So, the plot thickens. We are finally getting access to the Vanguard shoulders, the only piece [I think] you cannot buy with V. merits. I have wanted that piece for literally years. It is the coolest part of the whole uniform.

And we get access to the Vanguard guns. Decent looking guns! I might actually end up rolling an AR something! Nice news, I am happy.
