After a short sabbatical I was glad to find the MA Superteam is still alive and kicking!

Last Saturday the MA Superteam theme was What's up with that?!? where we noticed some new 5 Star arcs have worked their way up to page 3 of the search menu and gave 'em a run to see what all the hubbub was about.

Most of the new arcs were Very Long or had Extreme enemies, so we picked a couple that looked a bit more 'casual-friendly':

What Has Science Done? is a classic Crey conspiracy arc with some absolutely eye-popping custom costume designs. It's worth a play just to see the Crey Troopers!! Unfortunately, it is also unfinished as it's a work in progress.

There's typos, missing text with placeholders, and mission 4 had an ironically appropriate spawning "bug" so we weren't able to complete the arc. As such, I left it unrated but can see it's potential if it ever gets completed. I do find it strange that it's rated 5 stars and on page 3 in it's current state, tho. So, I'm not sure What's Up With That...

North Pole Nuttiness, on the other hand, is a complete 1 mission story that (as the title implies) doesn't take itself too seriously at all. Again, you'll find some incredible custom costumes, but this arc was also full of witty bios and fun dialogue. A quick simple arc for the Winter season. Obviously, What's Up With That is it's short, timely and fun!

Next Saturday (1/29/11): we don't have a theme yet but we'll Make It Up On The Spot! Come join us as we wing it and find some fun at AE!

Suggestions:
1- ditch the UI
2- use music and sound effects (80% of what you perceive is sound)
3- vary your shots, use close-ups, wide shots, tilts, pans and spins
4- have an alt with invis & fly that can shoot any scene/setting from any angle in combat or non-combat mode
5- keep it up!

• Put all Dev Choice & HoF arcs on their own search tab
• Make it so every member of the team has access to all the mission text, clues, & dialogue
• Show estimated ticket rewards for an arc in the creator

Selfish

• Give Blasters a way to have some REAL status protection
• Trainable pet ie. Make it sit, beg, roll over, etc on command

Tarzan and Westworld? Awesome.

The rest...not so much.

I am just lovin' the DC logo covers! So purty.

As far as canon goes, I see it more as an Earth B than an Elseworlds.
