I can enter a word in the AE Search like say: "Freak" and find any number of Freakshow missions, as well as "Freaky", "Freakalicious" or other variants in the title.
But is there a way to enter a search that specificly DOES NOT include a certain word in the title and description, such as "Custom" and "Extreme" when I'm not in the mood to fight someone's Custom Super-Extreme AV or tweaked out special faction? -
Quote:I like it.I have a small supergroup (I'm the only member) and I like it that way because management is simple. However, monthly base upkeep is a constant pain. It seems like I always have a reminder that it's overdue or coming up or something. I can't stand it.
Can't we ask to be able to pay that in advance or set it up on an auto-pay system at least? I'm sure the technology of Paragon City can handle a little direct debit...
In the meantime, you could consider parking an unused alt in Port Oakes (or Galaxy?...it's been a while.) for making the payment. -

I've heard the idea of the vault being able to hold items other than Salvage, but with a Recipe or an Enhancement taking up more than one space.
Say, a Salvage piece takes 1 space, a Recipe takes 3-5, an Enhancement takes 5-7? -
Quote:You can sorta (but not quite) do this already by ignoring the greyed-out names. (although they are still there, wasting space on the list and often causing it to be truncated, which cuts out potentially available players). In addition to that, I'd like to see the current search window to include a way to filter the people that are already on a team... If I'm trying to build a team, I'm most definitely not interested in the people already on a team.
You can also filter out those who are flagged as "Not looking for team". Granted, some of those are teamed already (You don't look for that which you've already found.) and some of the rest are simply on the default because they haven't turned on thier flag.
I don't invite people who aren't flagged, even though that cuts down my options. -
Quote:False. This is a poor method of finding teams, as it only sends within your current zone, and not to anyone inside a mission.Outside of player-made channels the only real way to find a pug team is to type in broadcast.
Use the /search menu and you can find players in any zone, (unless they've opted out), and can filter by level, AT or LFT status.
Or click on "Team" on your chatbox and the "Find Members" button. -
Suggestion 1: Sounds interesting. I think the current zones could use a tune-up every now and then.
Suggestion 2: Sounds kind of like street-hunting a hazard zone. Maybe less like Boomtown and more like the Sewers and the Abandoned Sewers? Bonus: Getting well into the Abandoned Sewers and realizing that they are respawning behind you. CoT Death Mages, Rikti, Hydra. (Okay, not so bad now that we have Teleport-to-SGbase Vet powers, Pocket D transporter power (from the GvE pack), an Ouro portal power, a WW teleporter dayjob power, etc. But, um......YOU WHIPPERSNAPPERS GET OFF MAH LAWN!!) -
I am a huge fan of Idea #1, "Your own personal Latveria".
My own personal "Spider-Skull Island".
A Blue-side equivalent, should there be one, could be "Your own personal Fortess of Alone-itude at the North Pole". -
I must politely decline the original suggestion, for reasons already given by other posters.
Yes, I solo. Yes, I turn down team invites that are given 5 minutes before I have to log off to go to work.
But I usually hide from the search window, so I won't take up the time of anyone wanting to send tells to folks who may or may not be flagged as LFT. -
Quote:Well, Khelds and SoAs aren't direct mirror images of each other. It could be a feasible option for HEATs being that they don't have access to Epic/Patron Pools; currently.
[So, why is it that VEATs get the 41+ Pools and HEATs don't?]
Tell you what, I'll give your Khelds access to the (Scrapper) APPs, but they have to do a L40+ Arc with a few EB's to unlock it. And since they'll probably be past L41 by the time they finish it, I'll throw in a freespec afterwards. Sound fair?
I'm not opposed to your idea. -
A while ago, I was tossing about ideas for an EAT. It never got off of my notebook, but it ended up being similar to the SoAs. Sorta.
Anyway, it had Energy Rifles for ranged attacks and Blades for melee attacks. And it had Defensive toggles.
To avoid Tank-Magery, I would have the defensive toggles do a self DeBuff of Energy Damage, but not DeBuff Self Smashing/Lethal.
The excuse was that the armor drained too much power to do both.
We already have a couple powers that DeBuff your outgoing damage, is it possible to split the DeBuff between types? I've looked at the Statistic for Damage Bonus, and it is certainly not split.
A "-Range" DeBuff is possible, but I'm not sure how this would effect Melee Attacks (Range ~7') -
Rather than adding TP Foe and Recall Friend together, TP Foe with a Hold component would be pretty useful.

Quote:((It was a sarcastic jab at the heroes' old comments that Frostfire had to have an excellent lawyer, since they could (and often did) 'arrest' him multiple times per day, back when the Hollows were crowded and new.))I'm not familiar with that one. I was thinking of the one where you get sent to bust 3 guys out and before those three you have to help Jenkins, again.
I have one more for the heroes.
Dear Heroes:
How many missions do you have to do for your contacts before they trust you with thier cell phone number? Not even thier home phone, just thier cell? Ours are more trusting, knowing that only in rare instances (Ha! Willy Wheeler!) do we betray them.
And how often do they not know what's going on in thier own (zones)nieghborhoods, relying on contacts in OTHER nieghborhoods (zones) to send in heroes? -

Doing a search for related suggestions is a good idea. Otherwise, you would never know if someone else had made the same suggestion and perhaps in greater detail.
More detail can really flesh out a suggestion, and can help you see any potential flaws in an idea. -
Villians are good for you.
If you fight a villian, no one gives you grief about it.
They're wicked, they're mean, they kick puppies and pass bad checks.
So they probably had it coming.
If you fight a hero, then you get grief over it. So if you're already a villian, you get more heroes trying to take you down to make a name for themselves. And if you're a hero and you fight a hero, you end up having to make concilliatory gestures and explain later that it was all a big misunderstanding.
Or whatever tripe the writers come up with for an excuse for "Hulk vs. Thor!", "Spiderman vs. Wolverine!" or whatever cover blurb they came up with to sell copies.
With Villians you know not to trust them. They're snakes, so they're gonna bite you.
With Heroes, you never know when they're gonna turn darkity-dark or snap. Or be mind-controlled into backstabbing you.
Thus: +1 for villains. -

Sure.
By L40, my builds are pretty much done, with the L41-49 picks just being Fluff and QoL stuff from pools anyway. With rare exceptions, if I didn't take a power from my Primary/Secondary by L38, I didn't want or need it. -
You're aware that trial accounts already have limited communication abilities, right?
May only speak in Local, /HC (help channel) and Team. No Broadcast, Request, Arena, Architect Chat, use of Tells or Global channels.
May not join a SG (thus, cannot use the SG channel)
May not start a team (thus, may not recruit randomly just to spam teammates out of range of Local)
May not Email.
(Click on Paragonwiki in my Sig and enter "Trial Account" into the search)
And I-16 (Which I expect to drop before the end of the month) will allow you to filter out the majority of the current spam (Email from strangers).
As always, I welcome new, viable ideas to thwart, remove, restrict or eviscerate RMT'ers, so long as those ideas do not hinder, hamper or punish legitimate players. This idea, however is pretty much already covered. We got rid of the bulk of the tell-spam by removing tells from trial accounts.
So they moved to Email, which we will finally get a reciever-side filter for.
If you can tell what their next method will be, then let's get cracking on solving that. Otherwise, we will have to wait until they shift gears and react accordingly.
Congratulations, however, for single-handedly starting out restrictions on RMT-Spammers in WoW, and according to your other thread, bringing new innovations to Guild Wars too. -
That depends. What level is your Bane Spider currently?

Quote:It's not a lot of travel time from the AP WW to a NPC Store by the trainer, and even less from the KR WW to the nearest NPC Store.Grats? Sure it can be done as long as you love traveling back and forth to WW as opposed to doing other in-game things.
Redside: Mercy and Port Oakes BMs are very close to NPC stores.
Not a lot of travel time, and quite accessible to lowbies. -
