Recall Friend "With Benefits"
In some instances, it could be useful.
In others, it could be a problem.
Imagine trying to grab fallen teammates from a teamwipe, only to pull the mob onto you. Depending on your powersets, build and level (in comparison to the foes), that spawn that wiped most of your team will probably drop you as well.
Or trying to grab the teammate who is on his way to the mission, traveling through the higher-level sections of the zone.
As a power, I would not choose it. As an IO, I would sell it, not buy it.
I suppose, in the situation I listed above, I could just use the Veteran or Temp versions of "Recall the whole Team".
I like the thread title though.
I'd find it annoying, but YMMV.
Besides, why do this when you can take TP Foe instead, and KNOW when you have a chance to bring a bad guy to you?
It's like trying to get TP Foe (possibly in AoE form?) and Recall Friend in one power, and thus one casting. In certain situations, I could see it being fun and useful.
In others, not so much.
I'm reminded of Group Fly. On paper and in theory, it sounds great. In practice (in it's current form), it's rather unpopular.

Rather than adding TP Foe and Recall Friend together, TP Foe with a Hold component would be pretty useful.
I'm a little confused as to what this suggestion is trying to suggest.
A) [Recall Friend] becomes: Teleport Teammate; Chance to AoE Teleport Foes
B) [Recall Friend] becomes: Teleport Teammate; Chance to AoE Immobolize Foes
Because if it's A, I can see that being rather more problematic than helpful... but it would definitely capture some concepts very well. If it's B, then I can imaginie it looking fantastic, sort of a Warshade-esque Teleport in which tendrils snake out of the resultant "space-time hole" and ensare nearby victims. This power could actually be useful in preventing enemies from following a teleported friend.
Rather than adding TP Foe and Recall Friend together, TP Foe with a Hold component would be pretty useful.

You would merely apply it to a DIFFERENT teleport power than the OP had in mind.

This is a suggestion for a possible addition to the "Teleportation" power pool or some type of IO that can go in Recall Friend.
I think I may have conceived this power from watching a cartoon or some sci-fi movie, but basically my suggestion would be the ability to recall a teammate with a chance to ensnare any nearby enemies that were within melee range of your teammate as you were recalling him/her.
You wouldn't want this power or IO to have an auto-hit because I think it could be abused in both a PvP and PvE enviroment. Maybe if it's a power give it a low acc in PvE and PvP. If it's an IO, then maybe give it a 10% chance to proc.
I just can imagine how cool it would be for a teammate to run into a swarmf of enemies and then tping them back ensaring a couple of foes with him!
