    Well maybe if you clicked one of the links in my signature and posted in one of them to show interest...

    on another note, we are actually seeing a few things. One is the animal pack from the super booster thread, it comes with a graphically updated Cheetah pattern, also, David's last post in the booster through hinted that he's seriously considering Steam punk and large weapons/costume pieces in the future.
  2. Okay, so a thread on the suggestions forum brought this thought to mind: Outside of theme specific EATS, what else is there that could be constructed into a unique AT that can actually make use of existing powersets?
    I mean in terms of the genre of City of, things seem pretty well covered, and in my mind this is similar to the question of 'what new travel powers can there be that wouldn't just be a customization of an existing one or can't be done?'

    So, tl;dr If you could come up with a new AT idea, what would it be? Hard mode: existing powersets only, None EAT, only Final Destination.

    I mean given that villains can already mow down legions of Arachnos like it was nothing (and hell, just shout on broadcast for help and I'm sure plenty of villains would accept an infinite ambush EXP train), the 'wrath of Arachnos' doesn't seem very much. Even moreso when the patrons and Fuzzybutt himself try to make an appearance and get floored by EVERYONE wanting their badges.
  5. You know, I just realized that that Kung-fu lion in the trailer certainly has a lot of balls given that HE'S BEATING THE @#$% OUT OF AN ARBITER IN THE ROGUE ISLES.

    Though, he appears to be a scrapper rather than a stalker, so he might be a vigilante.

  12. For starters, I'm not even really making this as a suggestion, but more like something to discuss this idea I had for a suggestion as well as whether it would be unbalancing or not. (I know it's probably a little unfeasible...)

    So the basis of this suggestion came to me from when Arcanaville (I believe it was) mentioned one of the problems at low levels isn't always end, but the fact that you don't have more than three attacks at level one. By the time you hit level 6 when you might be able to get like hasten (or another attack), you'd have six you'd have, and even that count depends on your powerset and whether its your primary or not. (this get muggier for the likes of controllers...) And no, I will not say the vet reward powers count for this, you don't get your first one until you've played for a year and not everyone has that under their belt.

    (now for the point)

    The basic idea would be giving one to three additional attacks to all damage dealing powersets that comes with the first one you select on character creation.
    These additional attacks could have certain restrictions, such as well being decent out of the box, they'd ultimately be unenhanceable.
    This could allow for/encourage Defenders to be able to deliver more damage, even when on a full team, help the lower levels go a bit easier. (especially with how CoV and GR seemed to continue to extend the attack chains of single digit level enemies)
    And also reduce feelings of learning just to breath at lower levels

    Admittedly, these are probably not good reasons, and I can see complications arise in the case of controllers getting additional powers to allow for direct damage, and the risk that these changes (assuming the powers database does not have specific copies of each power for each AT) to the control primaries would end up double certain powers for dominators.

    but in the end, this isn't really a pressing suggestion, I'd just like to hear people's thoughts on it.

    I can understand why they wouldn't make children in a mechanical sense (too much for too little) and from a limited PR sense. Though from what I've seen, this has not stopped some people from making child characters (like in this thread, for example).
    Also, even more worst villains wouldn't mind children not being targettable in Mayhems IF IT MEANT THE OTHER CITIZENS WEREN'T! GRAH, JUST LET ME TARGET THE SECURITY GUARDS AND YOU WON'T GET PUNCHED, OKAY?!

    Though there are SOME graphic details in the game, namely an Arachnos base detail I've seen on the ceilings plenty of times...


    And finally, on the note of Animals from the first page, one idea I had to compensate for this was simply have audio files where you could hear cats, dogs, and birds in the distance somewhere. You don't have to see them, but just the implication that they're there.

    He's not talking about Shield Defense without the shield, he's talking about the paired sets that use an alternate animation from their normal two-handed one.
    Well, I understood his original intent was not about shields becoming opened to power-sets it's presently restricted to.
    However, still won't change my /sign. I had thought about a stone/shield toon but moved on from the idea, namely because part of what I liked about stone melee were the two handed weapon strikes.
    Also, the double fisted, overhead slam attacks like Bone Smasher, Havoc Punch, Air Superiority, and Haymaker (default) actually are changed in their animations.
    rather than the fists being together, they're apart when done with the shield. Almost like a poorly done Kirk Special.

    I know it seems kind of... Defeating of the point of shield defense to allow for there to be a 'no shield' option, but it would also open up the concept to a lot of other players who like shield defense's mechanics (namely shield charge), but the idea of the character using a shield doesn't work.
    This could, perhaps, even open up shield defense to sets that normally wouldn't allow for it. like claws and katana.

  18. My biggest beef with Dual pistols, really, is bullet rain. They took the dumbest thing from Wanted and made it into a power, and to make it worse, YOU CAN'T EVEN FIRE AROUND CORNERS OR PILLARS LIKE CURVING THE SHOT WAS DESIGNED TO DO!
  19. Threads like this remind me that, sadly, probably the best Batman continuity they could make with definitive progress being shown in Batman's crusade would end up a lot like Assassin's Creed II: Brotherhood.

    Bruce Wayne returns from sabbatical to find Gotham has become a wretched hive of scum, villainy, and corruption. He dons the guise of Batman at night to gut the power base of the underworld, while as Bruce Wayne he funds the rebuilding, renewal, and reform of Gotham into a thriving metropolis. Along the way he'll recruit others, equally frustrated at the crime and corruption around them and just as willing to fight it as he is in all its forms.

    Now just imagine Bruce Wayne with an Italian accent and in white.
