There seems to be a surge in the Ice/Axe combo. I have to say getting to 50 with this setup has been the most fun I've had on COH, bar trying out a squid for the first time.

Being acused of being a bad tank by the team scrapper when Dreck launched his AOE blast and the blasters, who where standing next to him, got killed. Needless to say whether or not I aggroed him an AOE would get everyone in range, thats what an AOE attack does. I'm not saying anything against the blasters, but they should really have stayed at range. Too much is blamed on the tanks at times. Some people have to realise that if they die, sometimes it may just be their fault *tsk*

Hi peeps. I'm sorry to say that I have had to put this mish on hold until next week due to the unforseen. Sorry if this buggers anyone about, but I may still need two 50's so thanks for the interest.

Was wondering because I dont see many around anymore. Being ranged rather than melee (and the fact it doesn't drain your endurance to nothing) this power looks like it has advantages over the nova. Anyone seen the arrows fly and can comment on whether they like it or not?

This power is a little gem. 3x slot it with recharges and dont look back. Even with the amount of end I use, with this baby on I can keep chopping to my hearts content.

I just have the one slot with a taunt duration in it. Works fine for me just like that.

I want to be there, so if I'm back in time I'll swing my chopper around!

Hi all. Me and some friends will be doing this badge mission Wednesday night, at any time between 8-10. The only problem is I need at least one, maybe two more level 50's to sk lower level team members. I have already asked one 50 bod to join but they are not definate, so I may only end up needing one. They will get priority so whether I need one or two I'll let the bods who post here in order know in game untill I can get the numbers needed. Thanks for any help.

This may change, but what I've had for ages is Pendulum, Cleave, Swoop, Chop, Gash. When I can activate buildup, I perform these attacks in this order so the most powerful three strike while buildup is still active.

I feel the third tier pets look a little unspectacular from all sets.

I've got the same sets. For a start both Hibernate and Cleave are great choices. Hibernate roots you to the spot and makes you invincible while you heal. People argue that this ability gets the team killed, but a live tank is better than a dead one. A live tank can jump back in and help rather than faceplant.
Cleave is the most powerful of your Axe attacks. It is a godsend when finishing off that difficult boss. Every power in the ice primary line is great bar permafrost. Permafrost give res to cold and fire. The extra fire protection is nice, but only if you have a power choice left imo. You can max out your cold res by getting all the armours, but cold damage is rare outside pvp anyway.
You lack much area of effect damage as this type of tank. If you want more get whirling axe. It can help weaken all foes around you, as well as provide a nifty knockdown chance to all foes, helping you defend yourself a bit better.

Manuvers. Not a power from a power set but a power pool I know. With no one else seeming to take it now a days its pretty damn pants to be honest. As for my ice tank actuall primary I've avoided Permafrost. Never actually took it.

Like bridger has said, taunting before Hibernate is a good idea. I love the power. Invincible while you heal? Yes please. Besides a dead tank is no use to the team. Would rather risk using Hibernate than die. If the team dies as soon as hibernate goes on, and I mean as soon as, then the odds are either impossible or the team is just plain pants anyway. Just my two cents.

Any ice toon (apart from another tank, which I have yet to fight) is 9/10 doomed when they fight me. Ice armour is great for such villains, and heroes. I remember my first fight in the arena. The poor ice controller didnt have a chance. As for ice corrupters yee rascals run from me! Lol ok I'm not invincible to you. But I have an easy time with these toons. Thats my experience anyway.

This is late I know, but me and some mates look like we need help with this. True to my self proclaimed nickname (Mr. Helpfull) I dont know what time I am going to be on. On the off chance that any of you 38+ heroes are avalible when I log, if you could leave your names here then I can send you a tell. Thanks peeps.

Brutes to me seem too similar to tanks. Because I always play as my tank I dont really want another character like that. I see a lot of brutes around though. The high hit points is always a popular choice, probably is solo too.

Lol thats the defender combo I have just made. One thing that is very important I find, use Gale correctly or it annoys the Tanks and Scrappers.

I cant understand people saying this myself. Maybe its because I got my tank to 50 (using all the powers along the way) but the Battleaxe rocks. Great damage and a lot of knock downs. Imo good for both the main game and pvp.

God dammit I was too late! Always happens.
