Quote:As someone has mentioned right before me it's not clear if you'll need notices to advance. I assume the more you participate in the raids (which involves other players) the higher the reward you get, up to and including Notices of the Well (and whatever else will be needed for the Judgement slot abilities). But, but...folks said you weren't adding a solo option until Issue 21 or never? I'm confused.
Could it be you listen to your players after all?
Granted, the exemping giving you shards is great for the entire population, not just 50s, and IS a solo option. However unless you can craft ALL parts of the Incarnate abilities (from common to very rare) with just shards (which so far YOU CAN'T, no telling how Judgement abilities will be formed) the concerns still stand. -
Great news. Now I can get back to advancing on my Incarnate abilities via Issue 20.

I'd like them to finish up just ONE of the things they have left abandoned before they jump into more proliferation. Let's see
Bases
PVP
Base raids
Completing power customization . . .
CoP trial return only took what a year+. Soooooo any day now. LOL! -
Quote:Finished a Kahn in 19 min. yesterday. Whole TF from beginning to end. 19 minutes. Reischman went down in less than 2 of those minutes. YMMV, but it's really hard for me to get bored with anything in less than 2 minutes.
That is awesome. Doesn't change the fact that sacks of hp as challenge is something this game needs to move away from. Thankfully it seems they are. -
Really don't give a damn how fast they are. They are both horribly designed.
-
Quote:Right, which is why I've pretty much been playing other games while waiting for the animal pack and issue 20. I no longer care about Alpha and am patiently waiting for Judgement really. If the Incarnate Trials are fun I'll jump back in, if not, so be it my 50s (that I want to be incarnate) don't get to level shift for a bit.And these weekly TFs are mandatory exactly how again?
I'll be running a Kahn or two this week, because I happen to like that TF.
Next week, however, I'll be skipping the WTF, because I don't really like Lady Gray.
If these Task Forces were mandatory, like you're saying here, I wouldn't be allowed to skip one. But that is exactly what I intend to do.
The whole thing is optional, always was, and more than likely always will be. The only thing that makes anything "mandatory" is your own perspective that says it is. That's the point I've been trying to make in ALL my posts on the subject lately: The ONLY person forcing you to do anything is YOU.
Big deal. -

Quote:If I'm farming for purples I farm ONLY for purples and I ALSO often go -1. It doesn't matter if I'm -1, +0, or +1, the number of TEMP recpies drop so often now that I find it's pointless to even care about other rares or drops when I'm farming for purples. There are times when I do go -1 (all solo):
When I use a second/new build that's lacking good enhancement slotting
When I'm trying to push through 'need-to' content as quickly as possible
When I'm testing to see if I'm ready to move up to higher mob numbers
Meat-Grinding for Purples.
I push +0 on most when the toon can handle it... but I don't see the point of pushing beyond that (at 50) when soloing; considering its the ( /x_) that'll push up the drop rate.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Without fail just about every run I get a purple on, 90% of the rest of my recipes are a mix of commons you can buy at a university table + insane amounts of temp recipes. So again pointless if I go -1, +0 or +1. If I want to more consistently get non purple rares via farming I go AE, collect some tickets and ROLL for them in the appropriate ranges.
EDIT: And just in case it wasn't clear the number of temp recipes that now drop NO MATTER what activity you are doing (tfs, farming, tips, radios, etc) are FREAKING INSANE. If there was an auto delete temp recipies button in options I would have clicked it long ago.
Back to your regularly scheduled discussion about risk v. reward (rofl).
/rant off.

I think the question should be "Char Copy tool not down?"
Cause it seems like BOTH copy tools are down more often than their up, like freaking 90% of the time down and 10% up. lol
If someone sneezes the copy tools go down.
If someone sips a soda the copy tools go down.
If someone crumples a piece of paper the copy tools go down.

Cool. Are the swords in that massively image new?
I don't remember there being curved swords at any time. -

To the OP:
Your opinion or mine is irrelevant. Once the devs used DATA to find out that the old defiance did NOTHING to help blasters it was gone. Doesn't matter what you or I think.
EDIT: The old defiance was garbage. Sorry. -
I'd assume the new one starts at the exact time today that the last one started last week.

Quote:their justification for the blanket ban ("uh, it's too hard to know what's an MMO and what isn't, so no talking about any games!") was laughable in the extreme.
Yeah that policy is bad but I KINDA get it.
Removing pix that basically get your players pumped to BUY a pack? . . .
Uhhhhhh???? You got me. -
Good work! Glad to see you're also working on any bugs. You guys are cool!

QFT. AVs and EBs have long turned into a silly gimmick with how often they are thrown around. Let's NOT extend the useless gimmick further, thanks.
-
Arguable. I don't find "make it pretty" all that impressive.
Besides the fact that there are NUMEROUS things they've abandoned BEFORE power cust. I'd like them to tackle even ONE of those FIRST.
It's also why I don't take their comments of "we'll get to solo incarnate content" later seriously. They abandon so many things half way. -
Quote:Right, but some bugs can be prevented from heading live if they aren't rushed from the test server to live due to some artificial schedule set up by the dev's overlords.I'm willing to bet the game wasn't 100% Bug free even before this so called "19.5".
I'm even willing to bet that NO MMO is 100% bug free, even ones that rarely ever update like PSU....
There's likely a thousand tiny as heck bugs still out there.
Plus the philosophy of "Fix one thing, break 10 other things" Thus no coding will ever be 100% bug free, game, application, OS, firmware, or whatever it is.
If the ones in charge allow the devs to do their jobs, we'd probably see less stupidity like the AE farm that went on for a week, and the recent crash due to rushing Issue 19.5 to live.

Quote:The shard tfs would have to be out as WSTs since you know villains can't access the shard. That would be epically stupid, unless there is going to something done to that little problem (which has been asked for for ages by villains.)And what exactly is terrible about them, other than being old?
People were saying how great the AE system was gonna be, but it still had to have rewards (or bribes, as you put it) for the majority to play it. The die-hards keep saying that if you reduce or eliminate the rewards, the farming will go away, but people just have to have rewards or it's not worth doing. Everything in this game has incentive attached to it. What do you think XP is? Or extra costume slots?
I've never run anything for just the reward. I run it when I feel like it, and not before, no matter how many merits they want to throw at me. When I do run it, I enjoy it. The Freedom Phalanx TFs are not excluded from this, nor are the Shard TFs.
As to your first sentence, I don't see kill the same entire maps of enemies 3-5 times in a row as compelling content. The problem isn't their age, it's that they absolutely suck since they are tfs filled with mostely filler content.
Thankfully Positron was revamped so the devs are aware that those tfs need revamping. It'll just take time. Thankfully Issue 20 is on the way so I can avoid running any dreck I don't want to. -
Many of my 50s are becoming Incarnates.
None of them are gods.
So there.
If that's a hard concept to take in for anyone, all I can say is . . .
LEARN TO RP BETTER

It's the post where she announced this week's. It was updated. I just asked in another thread and then immediately found it.

Quote:I'd prefer if they went back and fixed what's absolutely TERRIBLE about the Freedom Phalanx taskforces then bribe people to play them. But that's just me. EDIT: And as was asked, where are folks getting this list from?Well that's you. I very much enjoy the Freedom Phalanx TFs. And I'm extremely content that the WST is including Non-50 TFs. 100 merits in an hour for WST Psyche? Gimme gimme.
I think the WST is a great thing. Even if not for the incarnate rare drop salvage, the double merits/XP is very very interesting and good. I love it.
I'm very pleased with Strike Pack just as is. I've ran the current WST, the STF, on a couple non-50 toons and they both dinged 50 at the "TaskForce complete" screen. Made me a happy panda.
And as many people pointed out before, if you want shards go do other content like an iTF. It takes under an hour for a kill all iTF on a semi-competent team. It's not like the game is all about the Incarnate system now and everything else is obsolete. I still have other toons to level up and IO out and this helps with it. -
On the contrary, I think all the ones he listed we're that bad. Doesn't mean they were perfect.
I think we DO see a lot of stuff from the 80s with rose-colored glasses. Watching them now just shows how . . . not good they were. Alot of them were blatantly setup to keep selling toys forever and ever and ever and ever . . . -
