Sorry, posting with lack of sleep FTW.

What I meant to say was the devs data mined and no one was actuallly USING the Tier 1 power.
  2. OK, since my last post got lured OT, let me post what I was going to post there, here. Clear as mud?

My take on Henchmen travel powers is that they should get whatever the MM is using. No bonus power, no circus parade of henchies trailing across the map to be picked off piecemeal by every spawn they wander by as their crazy boss changes directions 100s of feet away.

No, they just keep up. Plain and simple. Make it even simpler if you like, when the MM turns on a travel power the pets go to Follow/Passive.

    <slams gavel down> SOLD!

This way it's not "Mids-centric" and would be usable by any "hero planner" as long as they devs publish the .... frak, I lost the word. Generally make the standard of their export available to the public. I know there's a word for that.....

It'd be nice if it exported both (soon to be all 3) builds as well.

I mean just while we're wishing on a star here.

That's not what I got from how it was announced in Beta.

My understanding was that very few took the Tier 1 power from their secondary and this is to encourage them to do so by indirectly giving them more damage as a reward.

I think all the devs would have to do is work with the COHTitan folks enough to get the format for the data chunk.

I would like this too. Click a button, data chunk put on clipboard, paste it into Mids. Short, sweet, mission accomplished.

Just an option. I don't see any exemplaring in BZB's future once the incarnate stuff drops if there's any truth toward the new end game content being much more difficult and soloable.
I can't afford to IO out more than one build. And I mean in terms of time as well as Inf.

Don't misunderstand me, I'm not trying to be negative about the Incarnate system (or anything else), I'm just saying that hanging hopes of making up any (perceived or real) shortage of slots on it doesn't seem to meet my expectations.

I don't see adding 3 or 4 slots to a character's lifespan (one each at levels 23, 27, and 1 or 2 at 50, optionally skipping the one at 23) to be game changing or earth shattering. Nor do I see the lack of them as devastating.
  7. I started another thread on something I'd pay extra for. Since it would be additional money for additional "features" I thought I'd link to it here.

Call it the Marketeering Pack or some such, but I'd drop $10 to have access to my in game email (including attachments), my GFriends list, the market, and crafting from the Web or my mobile phone. Throw in access to my Global Channels for bonus points.
  8. Other games have wonderful add on packs that lets you handle your deal with in-game email (including attachments), auctions, and actually do your crafting while not logged in.

They've released a mobile version of the app for Android and iPhone among others. I want! I'd pay $10 for this add on over the Party Pack any 7 days of the week.

Any chance we can get something like this for City?

    Edit:

Also note that GW2 is incorporating out of game access as well.
  9. The only real issue I have with the Incarnate slots being billed as anything OTHER than more end game content is that you immediately lose ALL of them if you exemp.

Since the announcement, I've seen quite a few threads about more enhancement slots for the new powers we'll able to choose in place of Fitness. I'm fine without new slots, I can deal with that. That said, the murmurs have gotten me thinking:

The Level 47 and 49 powers seldom have many slots allocated to them(especially the level 49 power). I wonder if it might be a feasible idea to grant four enhancement slots at level 48 and 50 instead of three. This could make the 47 & 49 a bit stronger, or allocated to the newer power picks(and without severely unbalancing the system).

    Thoughts?
While an extra slot or so at 50 to allow 6 slotting the lvl 49 power would be nice, I'd really like to see a couple extra slots come along a bit lower.

I was thinking that if you got 3 slots at levels 23 and 27 (instead of just 2) that would benefit every AT across the board for the additional slots "needed" for 3 new Inherent powers.

And I say "needed" but with alignment merits it wouldn't be a big deal to put one slot in Health to drop a Numina's and Miracle in, and throw a Performance Shifter proc in the default Stamina slot.

    Season of Hope

Wow, someone just linked to this from the RO boards and I have to say I'm here at work wiping the tears off my face.

    Great story.
  12. 40 views and no one else loves the Zero G?

No one with Magic Origin characters feels out of place with the mechanical contraption on their back?

All the OP is saying is why not have PA look like a random 3 of your team mates.
  14. Ok, so the Raptor Pack can be bought for 10k Inf at G'ville and the Shard.

But there is currently no where to buy the Zero G Pack. Any chance we could get that changed? I really like the look of the Zero G Pack and it saddens me when I use the last of it up.

Also, not ever character looks good with the Raptor, or Zero G. For example Magic Origin characters (at least mine) would prefer to have a temp travel power more magic looking in origin. I know it's a bit of extra animation work but a flying carpet as an alternative to the Raptor would be cool. Not sure what you could replace the Zero G with, but there are a lot of creative minds on this forum. I'm sure you all can help come up with something.

Frankly, however, I do not think that the markets should be outright merged, but... there are a few options I WOULD like to suggest.

1)neutral market, same as in WoW, larger cut taken:
This evens out the most ridiculous imbalances, but only if people play the "market mini-game"

    2)bleed over after 24 hours:
Simply put, you put an item on the market at WW, it takes a day for Shady Mac to arrange for it to be sold without being noticed. You put an item up on the BM, after a day, Shady Mac finds a fence who can get it quietly sold and all official and legal looking.

This means you will not see 1326 clockwork winders on one side selling for 300, while you're paying 10,000 or more on the other side.

This also means, a hero got it, heroes get the first whack at it.

THIS SAID... IF this happens, I would very strongly suggest something be done about the BM/WW lost connection with mapserver problems. If the quantity of information increases, the chances of a lost connection will also increase.

Throttling the transfer speed of the auction server/application/procedure would, I believe, effectively resolve this issue.

    3)merging markets between servers:
I am not sure if this is already being done or not. I know when I transferred, the market info seemed different.

This ultimately keeps a difference between what is available based on the game mechanic differences between redside and blueside, but reduces the vagaries of understocked auctions and increases the size of the market, making it more stable.

Once again, it would also make the connection to mapserver lost issues worse, see above for details on how this issue could be mitigated.
A 3rd market just exacerbates the current issue with the villain market, everything will be in shorter supply if it's split 3 ways since it's already in short supply when split two ways.

However, I do like the market bleed over idea. Each side gets 1st crack at what it brought in, but it balances out items between both markets over time. This should resolve most shortages cause by population imbalance, which is all I'm really after.

Once you do, look down and you'll see the top edge of the roof, which you can teleport to. This can be done even without Hover, as the normal Teleport hover time is more than enough.

It's still not as easy as teleporting directly on top of the roof, but it's not actually much of a problem, and it's a technique that helps in tight quarters where you want to teleport to a ledge that's near the ceiling of the room.
I can do that, too. But it's a pain to swing the camera down and get your own crotch in your view.

All I'm saying is that I prefer to be able to zoom out more than currently allowed sometimes.

And why the difference between how far you can zoom out with the scroll wheel and the /camdist command?

Hi, pleased to meet you. I have over 30 characters who use Teleport. It is by far my favorite travel power in the game. It is my default choice for a travel power on any new character that I don't have some reason to take something else on.

And while TP could use some tweaking, IMO this suggestion isn't it.

Unlocking Epics is a reward. This would not be, other than personal satisfaction.

    Still, your point is taken.
  19. Over in RO-land Altoholic Monkey (aka Alty) took a whim to get one of every AT to 50.

A number of us have decided to undertake the same goal and so far 3 of us have succeeded, with numerous others in various stages of completion.

We got to kicking around the idea that this achievement was worthy of a badge. Now it's just a random thought, and I'm open to other names for it, but (PLing aside) it is a pretty hefty achievement and worthy of a badge.

Anyone else have opinions on this?

Merging the markets is the game mechanic that would be used to simulate what happens in the real world.

Which is that money and items get laundered.

Or the devs could create missions (preferably papers, but maybe have Shady <name> give them, as long as they are repeatable) that add 100 random recipes to the villain market.

So the villains actually run the robbery mission, then get 100 random drops on the market.

Would that be better? There's some real RP going on there and the villains get some action on the market.

And, not just some heroes would fall into the "too dumb / too powerless and therefore accepting of the status quo" category, but *all* heroes would fall in that category.

Moving beyond the "WTF" moment, what is enticing about roleplaying heroes who are dumb enough or morally bankrupt enough to actively support a corrupt system of commerce?
Heroes are heroes, they fight crime. They are not business men/women (aka "suits") who manage the daily affairs of a business.

If you want to RP that, find another game.

Or better yet, RP the fact that laundering and corruption take place all the time and most people are blissfully unaware of it. So when the markets ARE merged (as they should have been from day 1) your character doesn't know about it. RP that for a change.

But the bottom line is that the markets need to be merged for the health of the markets. And RP should ALWAYS be lower priority than game balance.

Really? I try to TP to rooftops that are more than 300' up all the time. Can't even get close unless I TP straight up and then back down or over.

WTH? Do you not know what a Black Market is? It's goods illegally removed from the legit market and sold illegally. Seriously, get a dictionary or encyclopedia or just read something about history.

Now what do we have in the Rogue Isles? Oh yeah, it's called a "Black Market" if my memory serves me here.

Another thing the ability to steal a truck or two fails to explain is how characters on both sides would be able to access *everything* put on sale on either side of the hero/villain divide, on a regular and ongoing basis.
Hmm, and you've never heard of "money laundering" either I suppose. It's where illegal gains are put back into back into the legal market through subterfuge.

In closing, there is no shortage of IEDs over in Iraq or Afghanistan. But did you know that all of the high tech parts used in those IEDs come from the US? That's right, it's illegal to sell those parts to Iran and several other countries, but they get them anyway. How you ask? Simple, black market, subterfuge, sneakiness. And there doesn't seem to be a shortage of them either.

As for the person who said "everyone's buying the same recipes" have you checked the price for a Basilisk's Gaze on each market? One side it's millions, the other side you vendor it. Pet Recipes are in HIGH demand on one side (that has 2 pet classes) and very low demand on the other side (which only has one pet class). So no, everyone's NOT buying the same recipes.
  24. Really? So you never wish you could TP to a roof by zooming out rather than TPing straight up then back down again?

I play plenty of Villains, WTH do you think I'm griping? I put as much stuff on the market as I reasonably can.

There are fewer opportunities to earn Merits for Villains, and with the drop tables the way they are if you want some thing don't count on a random roll giving it to you. Well unless you NEED a Trap of the Hunter that is....
