Which one does your plug look like? -
Quote:In terms of this game, yes. Or when one mission/arc unlocks something else. Thanks for clearing that up. I knew as soon as you quoted it that I'd likely misused "chained." That's more when one mission leads directly into the next, right?
Quote:Since you seem quite knowledgable about this, do you have any insight on why the cape mission change (from "not required" to "required") was made?
I would assume that they will eventually change it back to "not required" at some point, but you know what they say about "assume". That, and things get put on the back burner for a very long time if they don't hurt the game. -

Quote:No. The new cape mission must be completed before the City Rep gives any other content. If they added another mission piece requiring a higher level than 20, other than the aura mission to the City Rep, she would still require you to do the cape mission. The aura mission is not "chained" to the completion of the cape mission, the cape mission is just required content. The end effect LOOKS like the two are connected together, but they are not in actuality. Now I'm confused.
And possibly not using the word "chain" right.
But they are connected, in that you must complete a cape mission to get an aura mission; you said so yourself. And I'd have sworn it didn't use to be this way. I seem to remember at one point having her offer one of my capeless, auraless level 30 toon a choice of either a cape or aura mission, both offered at the same time.
Are you saying it's always been "must get cape before she'll talk auras," in which case I'm just badly misremembering? Or did they become sequenced/chained/whatever when the new cape mission went live? I'm not trying to argue, just trying to figure out why I seem to remember her giving me a choice at one point, but no longer.

The old cape mission was not required content. -
They didn't chain them together.
The cape mission/arc is unlocked at level 20 when you can gain a cape. This mission arc is required to be completed before the City Rep will give you any other content.
The aura mission/arc is unlocked at level 30 when you can gain auras.
There is no actual connection between the two. -
The OP is asking about binding two keys together. Only chord keys can be used in such a way. You can only bind SHIFT+<key> or CTRL+<key> or ALT+<key> (with L and R if you want to specify a specific chord key), you cannot bind <key>+<key>.
You cannot bind `+1 (an example given in the OP), you have to bind CTRL+1, SHIFT+1, or ALT+1 (with L and R if you want to specify a specific chord key). -
Quote:You do realize that mezzes don't DROP toggles unless they affect enemies, right? The mezzes still don't have to be toggle-dropping "I Win" buttons to give you your challenge and tactics. Just being unable to act for X seconds is a pretty big detriment to start with. You don't need to have cascade defence failure to go along with it.
You do realize that SUPPRESSED toggles still retain any defense/resistance they give, right?
You do realize this makes you look like you're talking out your butt, right? -

You can only bind chord keys with other keys. Chord keys are *ONLY* CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT.

Powers that affect enemies will untoggle when mezzed. This won't change. It was a deliberate design implementation.
Powers that don't affect enemies will, most of the time, remain toggled on, and sometimes (but not always) the effects will suppress while mezzed. -
WAI. Changed with the revamp of the cape mission.

Ah-ha, this makes sense. See, my migraine-addled mind didn't even think to suggest that it might be a pre-emptive insult.

Make sure what you're buying is an EU code, because NA codes don't work on EU accounts and vice-versa.

Quote:For clarification: they don't work together.Yes. Turn off Anti-Alaising or Ambient Occlusion.
Doesn't matter which one you turn off, just turn off one of them.
Turning off ambient occlusion turns off the little shadows that gather in corners and the shadows that are darker where multiple shadows overlap.
Turning off anti-aliasing makes edges have jagged spots, not smooth 'natural' edges.
I always suggest keeping anti-aliasing and turning off ambient occlusion. -
Quote:Ms. Liberty is not very old...20s or 30s I think. How's everyone's entry coming along? The deadline is creeping up on us.
I just got an idea, but need to confirm a detail. Am I right that Ms. Liberty is actually much older than her appearance? I looked up but wasn't able to find her actual age, the only clue being Statesman is her grandfather and he's been around for a long time. Or am I confusing her with Sister Psyche, whose bio states that "she does not age physically while in another's mind"?
If they both are much older than they look, who do you guys think is a better symbol for timeless beauty?
It's Statesman that is very old. Due to the Well of the Furies/Incarnate power, he doesn't age normally. Ms. Liberty's mother (Miss Liberty) is available to fight redside, in the Mender TF that takes place in 1963. There isn't a mention of Miss Liberty's daughter in that TF, so most folks assume Ms. Liberty was born after that.
Sister Psyche is supposed to be something like 90 years old. -

Quote:It's not new graphics, and it has nothing to do with processors.Well, I guess the FX is a good thing. Apparently all processors made by Alienware have it in them. I'm having an i7 930 Quad Core Processor put in, so I should be able to take advantage of the new graphics.
It's blinkenlites on the computer case/under the keyboard/whatever.

Quote:This, though typically I only end with a trailing ellipsis if the "missing half" of my sentence is obvious, or if the first half of the sentence is sarcastic. Otherwise, I never use an ellipsis anywhere other than in the middle of a sentence to indicate a pause or shift in thought.if I write a trailing elipsis, I'm generally intending to convey the sentence trailing off without ending properly.
You know what they say about assuming... -
Google to the rescue!
Non-snarky answer: some Alienware computers have colored backlighting that can respond to ... various input. -
A lot of toggles interfere with certain emotes. Shield Defense, as a whole, has huge problems with emotes, though they have fixed a few.
