Quote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRIrg-bAU-wmy dream for Time Bomb is to turn it into a sticky grenade with a timer.
you chuck it at a foe, roll to hit, if you succeed the timer starts. whatever they do, wherever they go, when the timer hits zero BOOOOOOOM!
this was inspired by the fun I had with the Semtex grenade in MW2.

Quote:Understood. You can only have three tips in your "inventory" at the same time. Other than that tips seems to drop very frequently (I usually get a tip a mission, although it can be annoying when they don't drop, at the very least)
The problem I had(and may have again)is that I had to run radio after radio after radio, safeguard after safeguard, just trying to pick up ANY tips. Thats the thing, it would have been nice had I had a full 3-shot list of tips, but my gun was empty for a good while. -
Well, FINALLY got my hero morality mission. Managed to pick up my 8th tip, then had the unexpected fortune of finding out that if your on a team doing tip missions, you gain points towards your goal(at least in my case). Did 2 tip missions, completing my 10, then I got my hero tip mission.
-
First off, I love the new tip missions. Interesting plays, really taking individual characters into them(even if factoried somewhat).
Ok, maybe it's just me, but I took my brute from 24 to 26 today, and only picked up 4 tips. He's in Talos as a rogue, working on hero. Last I checked, we had a max of 5 per day, and I've hit door after door after door after door after door, and still had one slot open. No tips. I dropped enough villains to fill the Zig's west wing, and still nothing.
Maybe I'm just not being patient enough, or, has this happened to anyone else? -

You win, Durakken.
Quote:My mom always said we are all perfect in our imperfect ways.I am Perfect.
Scientifically speaking I am the only result of the machinations of the universe that lead to me existing as I am. While i may grow and change that does not mean that the present me could be any better than I currently am and as such I am unquestioningly perfect.
Theologically speaking if you believing in a perfect god and an omnipotent god then that god could do nothing but make perfect beings. Even a "flawed" being would still be perfectly crafted into being perfectly flawed and further with the power of an omnipotent god I could never go against its will and thus anything I would do would have to be according to its will which is perfect which makes me perfect.
Now as to your comment back to mine.
It's uncreative. Not only is it uncreative but you are using a hack story as a basis. Yes, Star Wars is uncreative and a hack story. Why would you ever use it for the basis of anything.
Theologically it shows a lack of understanding of the subject matter and is insulting in saying that, that the judeo-christian god somehow came first when it is demonstrably based on a jealous backlash of Babylonian civilization and then just assimilated other religions into itself, but even when they were snaking their way into other religions they at least had the intelligence to say that Zeus = El and Genesis happened after Ragnarök.
It's just purely wrong scientifically or sci-fi-ishly and philosophically for reasons not going into.
Also I realize this is an attempt to say "hey guys what do you think about this idea?!" thread, but it should have been quickly stopped when you started listing off christianity. As much as it is unfair and asinine to say talking Thor is ok, but El is not because one has billions of believers and the other has a few hundred that probably don't read this site. It's mainly to keep you safe from looking like an idiot, me calling you an idiot, and all out flames from people you have offended that take what you just said as blasphemy.
and btw...this all comes from a guy who is working on a story where the god of the bible, El, is a vampire and a rapist that has been cloned and came from another planet. So if you think I'm taking offense to the fact that its' religious...boy you sure don't want to go there.
As for your writings(if that is an ACTUAL story your working on), hey, my beliefs are my own, your beliefs are your own. I'm not here to judge.
As far as "new"?
Something else my mom always said; "these days, there is nothing new under the sun".
Not even your story.
I could be wrong. -
My cyborg AR/Dev blaster, Skull-face, has SS and SJ(and acro, makes sense AND is functional). The dude moves VERY fast and can jump VERY far. On top of that, the SS and cloaking device combo work great in keeping stealthy.

Quote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mAH_...eature=relatedAs for how the well can empower a Natural type without giving them magic? How about if the contact with the well, for just a moment, opens their mind to every detail of every fight they've ever been in? For that one, short moment, they see it all with perfect clarity. Every move, every mistake, every choice that they could have made better; it's all there. And while that moment of clarity fades, the effects linger. Now they see past the old limits of their skill. They can line up that sniper shot or block the swing of a sword with a zen focus that most people would work their whole lives to master. They are not supernatural, but they are uncanny in what they can do.
Ultimate mastery of one's self, skills, abilities, strengths AND weaknesses, and harmonious union with self and weaponry, would make one a foe comperable to the most powerful. Just don't get delusions of godhood, EVERYONE has a critical weakness(even if to them, it's a strength). -

Quote:I like Silver Samurai, lost touch with him in the comics....well....since I lost my comics(had a pretty good collection too, either Rita or Ike took 'em). The best memory I have, is when he fought Wolverine(in the cartoon). He had the ability to teleport, and was doing well, untill Wolverine timed his movement, and caught 'em.By this logic, the Silver Samurai would just be a man with a sword.
Of course, for him, the quality of the sword does not matter. He can cut a tank in half with a plastic sword. Ironic, since he currently hold a sentient katana of considerable power.
Also(from wiki):
Quote:Silver Samurai, the illegitimate son of Shingen Yashida, is a Japanese mutant with the power to charge almost anything, most notably his katana, with mutant energy (described as a tachyon field) which enables it to slice through any known substance excluding adamantium. He also sports a suit based on traditional samurai armor. It is made of a silver metal, hence his name.
I meant people as normal as you(possibly, I don't know)or me. No mutant powers, no advanced cybernetics, no magical spells, no scientific advantages. Just normal, plain, ordinary people. -
I understand the game mechanics of it.
I just find the idea of a man with the gun of a god intriguing.
On top of that, a character that is a robot/android, developing these godlike powers is also intriguing.
I am in no way complaining about a single thing. I love the idea(being able the par with the most powerful of this world). I'm just inquiring on other's ideas of how characteristically and personal-lore-wize, the coming advancements will be with those of the Punisher/Dare Devil/Batman/Question level of power.
As a side note, I do find interesting how the "normals" can affect, and even "kill" ghosts. Perhaps they make themselves solid enough to affect the material world long enough to do either good or harm, and when they feel in danger they go FULL ghost and flea for a while(one thing I hate about the CoT, but it is good for reprive till you heal, at least a little).
Again, no complaints, just fascination about RP and lore possibilities. -
I was thinking about the Incarnate system, and found this idea intriguing.
How does a "normal" with a gun or a sword(replace "sword" with any melee weapon, "gun" is universal as it pertains to firearms)handle growing godlike powers?
A man using barehands and feet, or utilizing any element, I'd understand(for the bare-handed godlikes, see the Dragonball saga), but if you are simply a man(or woman)with a gun or sword(however technologically advanced), how would that work? -
Ok, here is what I mean.
I heard a story from my bro about how there was a Hami raid killed 80 players, and 1 Dark Miasma defender came in, Howling Twilighted, and all 80 players came back to life, nearly crashing the server.
My idea was this:
The MM summons his 6 minions.
He waits for them to recharge.
He dismisses the ones that are up.
He casts Soul Extraction on the corpses of his minions, raising 6 new minions from them, all at once.
He then re-summons the original 6, then trains and enhances them.
Then calls up Dark Servant.
Making 13 minions, but only 6 being perma-till-killed(possitive about the spirits, not entirely so about the DS).
Would that be too game-breaking for the Necro/DM MM? -
Make Soul Extraction like Howling Twilight.
Use the effect it has now, but does so to all fallen zombies.
Doing the math on that, coupled with Dark Miasma, you'd have 13 minions(3 Zombies, 2 Grave Knights, 1 Lich, their 6 "Soul-Extracted" counterparts, and Dark Servant). -
I have a lvl 50 Earth/EMP/Fire troller, and I want to "set" him up. Problem is the "money" required is hard to come by. Most likely, I just need to be a little more patient.
My question is: Do the lvls of the IO enhancers matter once the set is complete? -
Where do I take the 4 pieces to get my next costume slot in Praetoria?
-
On a side note: my bro wanted to know what ever happened to Cuppa Joe?

I could have sworn that this morning there was a tab in the character select page that had at the bottom the equivolent of "6 free slots remaining"(you know what I mean), and along with that, the in-game store.
Now, I just logged in a few minutes ago, got to the character select screen...and I felt like something was missing.
Is it just me, or has something within the last few hours happened that I've failed to notice? -
With me it shifts between an idea of a character and background first, then name, and a name first, then background.
I was watching Military Channel one day. One show talked about the tanks of WWI and WWII, another show talked about German planes in those wars. Thats when I got the names for Tiger Tank and Junker(pronounced Yunker). I then connected their stories to an old(and still active)alt of mine(also connected to Germany, but in more of a Magneto way).
Then I got to thinking of the Occult(different day, not connected). In creating the 6 that would be connected, I wound up connecting one of them to Tiger Tank, Junker, and his connections.
I just love making characters and backgrounds. I'm an alt-aholic. -
/keybind_reset worked.
Thank you.
Now, is there a way to reset the tabs to the way they were originally?
I had accidentally deleted the chat tab, and had to open one of the 4 tabs to use in it's sted. -
I have a character that has a text macro(as best I can figure it)that is no longer needed(hasn't been for a long while), but I can't think of any way to get rid of it.
It was meant to be a customization of text bubbles, but now its no longer needed, but the <text> color coding still comes up when I hit enter to type, and the macro is added to what I type, making it troublesome and annoying.
How can I reset the texting on my character?
