Ya, this thread inspires me to want to make one of these, now just need to make a build, I saw the one posted in this thread that Boomie posted, I will probably use that as a starting point on what I need to slot for, but I care more about tanking for a team with this combo, so I will probably use earth mastery if that is better for tanking? And ya I will just tank if there is no tanker, but I think it would be fun to tank on a controller :P

Damn, that is very impressive, grats. Quick question though, just out of curiosity, can you be the main tank on teams for missions or TFs? Or is this build just mainly for soloing?

So demon/dark it is. And I am still slotting for softcap and high rech for the soloing?

I want to start a new mastermind, I honestly have my eyes set on a Demon/Therm or Demon/Dark. Would like to know how both these combos work and if they pair well. I would like this toon to be able to be a good teaming toon as well as being able to solo AVs/GMs. I have never rolled a MM and have no idea what to build for. With either of these MMs be able to what I want when built correctly? I am not asking for someone to give me a build, just would like for someone to tell me what to build for in order to accomplish what I want to accomplish. I am just focusing on an end game build atm. Many thanks in advance for the help.

First of all brutes don't have ice anything, tanks have ice armor/ice melee. And stalkers are going to get ice armor. From what I read the reason brutes don't have ice is because it conflicted with fury building a long time ago.

Ya the proc is really only there to increase my st dps against AVs/pylons etc. There is enough aoe on my ss/fa that it doesn't really matter for regular spawns.

Would it be better to put this proc into burn or blazing aura? Just not sure if it has a chance to proc every time burn ticks, or just on the initial attack from burn. Same goes for blazing aura, not sure if it has a chance every time it ticks.

So would my toon not be concidered good if I soloed the itf on my build with 34 s/l def if I rely on a purp insp to hit softcap when I need it? I am thinking I will only need it for av fights, but I have darest night as well.

So any more advice? what will this build be able to do, and anyway to improve it so I can do what I wasn't to do with this character?

Ya I already have the t4ageless. My current build is about 34% s/l defence and some crazy amount of recharge, but ever since I respecced into that build I haven't been able to play it once because of work, I hated to give up my softcapped defence, but I am a recharge junkie. Was just wondering if I could make an effective softcapped build still with high recharge. Id also like to try a solo itf, which I dont think is possible without softcap s/l, but I am no expert.

I am not sure if there is where I should be posting, but recently when I turn on my computer my ncsoft launcher wont open, i double click it, it starts to load then nothing happens, no changes have been amde to my computer, it just stopped working, and have no idea what to do. I use windows 7, and all my other programs open except this one.

I was just wonder what the highest dps chain for an Ss/Fa/soul brute. Atm I don't really have an attack chain just spam ko blow and gloom as much as possible with filler attacks inbetween, and I believe that is not the way to go to get maximum dps. My brute has five pruple sets amongst other rech bonuses and t4 spiritual. Thanks.

After looking at builds and such I decided to give the Ice/Ice tank a shot on mids, I have a feeling it has a few flaws, focused on rech and hitting softcap without EA up. Tell me what you think.

Ok so is anyone actually going to help and critique the build or just argue about who copied who.

Ok well I was interested so I decided to go look for his post, and I don't see how you get exactly the same, they are similar, yes, but not exactly the same, and we did have similar goals, except I was hitting around 32% def to hit softcap by using darkest night, and as I read in his post he was aiming for the same def%, but didn't use darkest night.

I have been working on a build for some time now, I want this brute to be able to hold his own ground in lvl 50 content, TFs, tips, etc. I want him to be survivable in Trials as well, but when running a trial everyone is buffed out their @$$ so I don't feel a need to hit incarnate softcap. I also like this build to farm hence all the recharge I gave it. I also am relying on t4 ageless (+rec one) to solve my end problems, as well as having consume for backup. I am wondering on the experts thoughts on how you think this build will work, and I am relying on darkest night to get me to the "softcap." Not sure if this is a good strategy, but that is why I am here. Thanks.

I have been gone for a few months and just returning to the game, I have seen in some forum posts a mention of the "incarnate softcap" would someone please explain this to me? Not sure if this was refering to the def softcap and in trials you need higher than 45.

I have been researching on defenders, looking for a decent build for soloing AND teaming for Tfs/Trials. And by soloing, I want to be able to solo AVs, pylons, etc. I know there is a similar thread, but I was looking to see if my specific build would be able to do so. This is just a general question, I know that Firey melee should be chosen for a brute (when secondary is not shield) because fury boosts the DoTs of fire. I am just wondering if this is the case for all pwoers, I was thinking of rolling either a DM/WP or DM/INV scrapper, but would my dps be better on the brute with fury up to around 70?
