Shenanigans like that is not gonna give your feedback credibility at all. This thread needs to be killed for several reasons.

    1) only for feedback, you gave it, now stop.
    2) not a discussion thread, read the guidelines for this forum.
    3) bumping is against forum rules.
    4) The proper place for this thread is the suggestions forum.

    Ex Libris post
  2. From my standpoint, I think the /tell for leaving feedback is already too personal as it is. Feedback should be anonymous so your comments can be a bit more honest and constructive. (hopefully constructive). If that process engages further conversation then I'm going to be a bit more wary about even leaving feedback in the first place. Personally, I don't want interaction from my comment, unless somethign extraordinary happened and it is conversation worthy.
    but "gj"
"ty, glad you liked it, please go and see my other work, I believe you'll enjoy those too"
is WAY more than I want to hear.
  3. Just by default my favorite toon is a ill/rad troller and I've been authoring and testing with her. The sup invis she has makes it super convenient to test with. And when it comes time to actually kill stuff I can handle that too.

if you don't want xp - turn off xp. But why would you not want the tickets at least?

    [/ QUOTE ]

As said above, I have too much pride as a writer/designer. I'd never make a work publicly available unless I either felt it was perfect, or wanted to get feedback from others.

    That, and the badges.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That would be my point too. I don't turn out half-ready crap. I'm not trying to get tickets or fame, I just want a good and polished story arc that causes a lot of fun to happen.

Btw I do all my creating and testing with my illusion controller so I can stealth around in the mission while testing without being noticed.

And you're not kidding about the badges, lol. After fully testing I'm still walking out with several new badges each time.

Some emotes don't work with certain characters. Set the emote in the editor and click "start animation" under his picture on the right. He will act out the emote if it works.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I'd soo like to see a Bright Nova boss doing that "smashing fist into hand" animation.

2: A GM has probably been issued an order to ban obvious farm missions. They might just be searching for the word 'farm' and banning away, before getting down to the business of playing random arcs and trying to analyze how they are constructed (which will take years, no exagerration).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah in an ironic turn of events, the GM's got an easy kill off this one.
  7. [ QUOTE ]
I thought that MA was specifically designed so you "can't" farm?

If the GM are so against farming, why don't they silence all the people in Atlas in broadcast "sewer team forming for farm"?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well the thing of it is... They get to decide what they allow and disallow, so they can ban MA farming and not feel compelled to ban sewer farms. It's still their choice. And banning one does not constitute a need to ban the other.

The mission architect content is made so we can make our own game content to play, not turn it into a utilitarian tool to simply progress in a business model fashion. There are some that DO use it as part of their business model, and that is where the thwarting efforts should be. But you can probably see there is very little difference between a korean business farm and a player wanting to get a lot of easy stuff farm.
  8. Pardon the extreme noobness of this question(s).

I've been crafting and testing but have not participated in anyone else's content yet. (and not able to try it out right now anyway, but I'm curious right now).

How does this actually work? Does your team assemble at the architect building itself to do the mission(s)? Or does it give an actual location in a zone to go to.

does this mean we're gonna have gobs of people filling this building as the content gets played on a daily basis?

Are the only purposes of selecting a contact for the mission, for its likeness to appear on the hologram dummies? Or was that just for testing purposes?

Sorry for the noob attack, but I warned ya at the start.

    Geting tickets

Ugh! figures I'd pick out somethign in the screenshot that made a vein in my forehead throb...
The mob text: "I know your there!"
  10. I wouldn't go and start making changes off the first opinions you get, unless they're blatant mistakes.

Evaluating the difficulty using your own characters is limited. Evaluating the difficulty according to how you evaluate the general public's skills... is an art.

But difficulty aside... is it fun? that would be my deciding factor.

Hami raids are another. Group flying the Blaster team is handy.

That there is the best place ever for group fly.

I've also used it to transport sidekicks past dangerous mobs when teleport was not available. (but ya gotta let the noob pilot and YOU follow them).

What NCSoft as a company chooses to do with the revenues from subscriptions or micro-transactions is really a different matter all together.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So the additional revenue from the in-game ads is not automagically going back into development like a lot of folks around here like to think?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Where the revenue goes is none of our business. we aren't shareholders, we are customers who pay for access to their servers. I don't care who they hire, which brand of cola they like, what political party they prefer or what car they drive. I just want the servers to be up so I can play. thats what I pay for every month x2.

I won't be using the paid respec system myself but I'm not sorry they added it either. They have not taken anything away, they've ADDED to the game. Now I'd have a problem if they started charging for each new character creation, but thats not what they're doing. everyone get it?
  13. [ QUOTE ]

I agree with Flea. I do think that the community should know why locks/bans/suspensions happened.
NcSoft doesn't need to tell us WHO they banned because that would have some legal issues. But if the community got, for example, a monthly newsletter that stated the number of bans and reasons why.
It would tell the community what is and what is not tolerated while keeping personal information confidential.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ummm, the rules themselves tell exactly what is and what is not tolerated. What it sounds like you're looking for is a public whipping square to satisfy a morbid desire for "revenge" or "closure". NCSoft is playing the bigger person by enforcing the rules but not publicly ridiculing the offenders like many individuals hunger for wrongly.

Personally I think server transfer tokens should be granted before the weekend. That way people can transfer off of populated servers level up then transfer back. After the weekend the tokens disapear (or maybe a day or two later so people can transfer back if they work or are in the military or something).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Perhaps, since you feel strongly enough about playing on another server, that you would pay for the transfer? Some people might. Maybe some players have been waiting for a good enough reason, or time to transfer servers anyway. That brings extra revenue to the folks that run the game you enjoy playing. I certainly can't deprive them of that opportunity by asking for free transfers.

I have toons all over the servers. I love playing them all, and I've purchased transfers, its not so bad.
  15. [ QUOTE ]
Ouch, then. That's gonna hurt the pocketbook heading on through the 30's. Even with plain old SO sales, it's important to have what little extra leverage you can get - let alone the extra opportunity for rarer/more demanded recipe/salvage drops during that timeframe.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I wouldn't think so. Most people will log more play time and the crowds will be exceptionally larger on each server so wentworths is going to be slammed with more merchandise. If anything, prices will drop.

Double xp weekend does also mean double inf and prestige (or double whatever stuff the red side gets, heheheh) so your money per level ratio is not affected, just the drops.

If you feel you're leveling too fast for the drops you are getting feel free to incur some extra debt to hold your levels back.

Oh, I assume when he said signature, means that his sig has the info you needed.

What about us that have sigs turned off? (not trying to start a foolish sig vs nosig battle)
  17. I remember playing my scrapper in brickstown around issue 5. I mostly went for groups of freaks that had a minion, a lieutenant and a tank boss. If I took out the minion and lieut, the boss would normally run from me and I'd have to chase him down. It would turn into a cat and mouse thing. If I stopped chasing he'd come back for me and if I turned on him he'd run again. It really was fun much of the time but if it happened too often it would get tedious and boring.

Think on that when you look over defense sets for your next Scrapper.

I can only think of a few reasons this post was made.

    1) fishing
    2) troll
    3) can't figure out how to play regen
    4) knows regen is great and the most popular choice and is trying reverse psychology in the hopes it won't get nerfed.

To additionally assist us in swiftly resolving the issue, we appreciate it if you then make use of the in-game /petition command to further alert our Customer Support Team of the activity.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ever considering doing what LoTRO does? In game you can right-click on the spammer's name in the chat window and get a context menu that let's you automatically report the spammer. No fuss, no typing, instant notification to a GM.

That's a nice system if you can do it, expecially if we could simply right-click on the names in the email window, too.

    [/ QUOTE ]

We are always looking at ways we can make things in game better and easier for our customers.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think it should be considered to put less weight on the players to report the abusers. One simple command that does it all. No followup petition, nothing more than one command or one click and a confirmation. A followup petition takes too much time out of gameplay and allows the player to dwell on the offer/advert/problem longer than necessary.

Even so, spam is at a minimum and I like the atmosphere of the game. Good job guys!

Not sure if everyone is aware of it yet, but IoP's are active on Test right now. they only work in SG mode, and the buffs are great!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Screenshot or it didn't happen.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Lol go test it yourself, I'm not going to give you a screenshot. I have nothing to prove. Just want to let normal people know they can go try them out on test server. Many of them are probably already aware.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The IOP's have always worked when active, and have always required being in SG mode to work, the tiny little hitch is that while it's been possible to buy IOP's on test in the past, the only way to get access to them on the live servers is by running the CoP trial.

Unless the CoP trial is working on test there's nothing new or improved in your statement about IOP's.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not talking about live servers, just test. I just said IoP's are working on test right now in case anyone wants to experience them. Don't read more into it than that.

Not so much, running on a full team of 8 doing several doors in an area, and still the usual summon was an LT + minion, or 3 minions who basically dont get out of the door alive.

There is no challenge to this level of spawn for a big team.

As for trading the costume salvage ? well out coalition still had plenty left from last year. Every character of mine who wanted it had an extra slot already.

Instances with normally scaling mobs would be much more fun to me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's not the challenge I look for during this event, or any other. It's totally the fun. since I team mostly with PUG's the experience is always fresh. I can see how it would become droll if you are reward or accomplishment oriented. Similarly, I was on a large team working several doors on a street. The spawns were a side-activity to the fun the team was having with each other. (strangers mostly).
  25. thank you for the guide. I saw a friend that had a Grav/emp troller and I fell in love with her playstyle so I made my own grav/ff.

What I did find out though is the objects for propel disappear right after they hit... For the ones where the enemy dies as you cast it they disappear on the way across the room. the days of the sanford and son trash yard are gone.
