4 Major Requests for Architect

#1 Person in architect building next to inspiration seller that we can use to set our difficulty level. It's really annoying to be constantly leaving, running to trainer, then running back to test missions on different difficulties.

#2 - Ability in test mode to spawn mission for 1-8 players. It's a nightmare to get 7 people to join me just so I can test a mission and see what the spawns look like for 8 people. Giving us an option to spawn mission at 1-8 people would save so much time.

#3 - Observer mode in mission. Or intangible. Give us a way to navigate thru mission without being attacked and to be able to trigger ambush's to test them. It's a pain to test ambush's when you aren't a solo friendly build. This also ties in to number 2. It would be nice to be able to solo test ambush for 8 person team and see how well it works.

#4 Ability to publish a mission as beta. Its available for people to try, they will earn xp, can leave you comments etc but it cannot be rated and you will possibly not earn tickets for people playing it. It would make it much easier to test and allow it to be exposed to a broader range of people.

Aside from these 4 suggestions i'm loving the architect. It's a great feature and major props for pulling off something no other MMO has dared.

funny how a little movement is an issue, but I hear very little about sinking Inf into testing at different difficulties.

Priorities, people!!!

If we're testing on different levels, make it simpler to TEST, as in making it unrelated to normal settings.

Ehh honestly the influence required to change difficulties is a joke. It would be nice if they had a seperate difficulty tab for just testing missions that was seperate from your actual difficulty rating but its not that big of a deal.

I'll agree that you shouldn't be charged for adjusting your difficulty in Testing. At a 110,000 a pop, changing difficulty 3 or 4 times a day adds up when using my main to test stuff at level 50, not to mention doing so on several alts a day.

I have to say...I have never viewed changing difficulties as costly...not even in test mode for MA.

But still, in Talos, its .71 miles to the Hero Corp rep. And .71 miles back. Thats a nice long hop.
Skyway is similar.
PI is a little better.
Atlas is pretty close.

So just having one, say up by the ticket vendor would be nice.

I like this one. Alot. As I've discovered the hard way, a group thats challenging spawned for 2-3 can be just devistating at 6-8 (Arch/Dark Miasma = group wipe when you get 4-5 in a group and they all splash Tar Patch,).

#3 Dual Build. Just focus your secondary build on Stealth and Phase. Its easy enough to do.

#4 - Publish then unpublish. It sucks to lose stars, but its already there.

I think I know what you mean with #1 and I agree. I generally start out on heroic and placing a Field Rep inside the AE building so I don't need to leave every time I want to switch difficulty makes good sense.

Not sure about #3 the only place that is available now in game is arena battles and I am not sure it's possible to do it elsewhere.

I'd add a #5 Give me the abilty on Arc with several missions to test each seperately. The way I write is simple. I complete a story and then test. Make changes and test again until I have it the way I want it to be. Then I move on to the second story which at this point means I have to go through test again on Mission one before I can even LOOK at mission two. I tried dropping mission one on a story arc over the weekend and that does NOT work in test so at the moment we have no option here at all. I usually take at least 3 and sometimes more tests to get everything set just the way I want so by the time I have mission 2 set the way I want it I may have seen mission one as many as 7 or 8 times and am ready to pull my hair out and scream. LOL

Wicked_wendy just drag mission 2 before mission 1 and it will be first. You can re-order them at will.

I think from that list #1 and 2 are my biggest wishes. 1 for ease of use and 2 because its next to impossible to get 7 people to join you for testing without bribing them.

I really like #1 and #2. Both ideas are solid and constructive.

As for #3, its not a bad idea ... but I simply bring in a different alt who is built to solo, so its never a problem to trigger things and survive.

#4, as has already been pointed out, you can already do by publishing and republishing. You might want to rename your arc, though, when republishing it, so that people don't dismiss it as having seen it before. (Based on the feedback you've received and acted on, it may play differently.)

#3 would really come into play if #2 was implemented. Not many people have a build that could solo 8 man spawn.

Also its really annoying to expect everyone to have a solo toon. Some of us like to team.

Don't agree to possibly burn a respec only to get stealth. What about players who have a pvp build they don't wanna change ?
Would be fine to get an input box wich spawn when you start a SA in test mode and which ask you if you want enemies to be neutral

Shenanigans like that is not gonna give your feedback credibility at all. This thread needs to be killed for several reasons.

1) only for feedback, you gave it, now stop.

Pretty sure i already apologized for the bump, re-read rules and saw that it was there.

Forum description says "Please Provide feedback about Issue 14 including: play balance, concerns or issues based on your experience on the the Training Room Test Server! "

These are valid concerns such as being unable to test large spawns, wasting time and money to test on multiple difficulty levels, etc. Still its a matter of perspective I suppse.

PS from the forum rules and guidelines "The primary function of this message board is to provide an area for constructive player interaction and also to submit feedback to the development and publishing teams behind City of Heroes." Constructive Player Interaction = discussion or else there is no interaction.

and

"The purpose of the forum is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas""


Using the same logic I can pick any post and say it should be moved such as the thread on Ticket Drops / Solo vs Team. It's a bug and it should be moved to the I14 bug forum and not be on the discussion forum. As could the other 4-5 bug threads on first page alone.

If the moderators feel this is the wrong place then the thread can be moved.

This is a valid point. I stand corrected. #1, #2 and #3 are all good ideas.
