i wasn't calling myself casual. i was just asking the question based on my influence gained compared to my 20+ hours a week of play.

perhaps 20+ hours is too casual to purple out a toon. if so i may have bitten off more than i can chew.

i played the game for awhile...i took a break to play conan and got addicted to L4D but i came back to cox a couple months ago. i have 5 lvl 50s and assorted lowbies.

i never got into IOs...so to add some freshness to the game i thought i would take one of my favorite toons and really IO him/her out.

i know you don't need the rares and purples to make a decent build and i know you can do it cheaper...but for me...coming back to the game...i thought it would be fun to have a really IOed out toon as a goal.

i combined all the influence from all my 50s. i have been playing for a couple months....at least 20 hours a week. i barely have enough influence to afford 2 purple IOs much less get an entire set or IO more than one power. some of the rares i want are not much better.

my question is...is this really working as intended? is 20+ hrs a week really considered a casual player? i am getting a bit frustrated...i even broke out L4D a bit last night.

any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. thanks.

joined an AE team one night.

me: kinetics def
brother: sonic defender

another rad defender and a /rad controller.

we invited a tank...he said thanks for invite....i chose the mission...then he said....

"we are gonna need a healer."

...and he had the 42 month vet badge.

my kin defender was on a team with a storm defender.

Me: "hey stormy...can you use your freezing rain?"

Stormy: "i do when it's recharged."

Me: "my bad...folks always ask me for speed boost so i thought i would ask for a power that i really like."

Stormy: "np....how did it feel?"

Me: "well...i kinda felt like a ********."

Stormy: "LOL."

i would love double influence in the AE missions at least. lord knows some of those IO's are way expensive.

What are the rewards for participating in the Rikti Raid?

I know about the vanguard merits...but do you get reward merits and/or recipe drops?

If you get recipe drops....are they class A, B, or C drops.

Is there an accolade worth pursuing?

Just curious before I participate in one.

thanks...holy cow...out of all those pool A and pool B recipes i got 6 pacing of the turtles with 10 rolls...why can't i have those odds when i play the lottery.

anyone know of a guide to the architect rewards you can buy with your tickets?

i just rolled 10 times for the silver recipe rolls on 3 different toons and got like 6 pace of the turtles...argh!!!!

are all recipes available through the random rolls?

the AE powerleveling boss farming mito crowd doesn't tick me off nearly as much as those folks that use online map overlays to get the exploration badges and history plaques.

man they tick me off. i scowered every nook and cranny to get mine. donkeys.

i did an arc in the AE last night that was better than just about any arc i have done in the "regular" game.

it was called a ghost story....and i am not the creator.

I would like to buy the booster pacs for the costume emotes. it says in order to activate the costume emotes you have to unlock another costume slot.

what if i have unlocked all 4 of my costume slots already? am i SOL?

I have got a few high level toons. I have never really gotten into the whole IO sets thing but think it's time to bite the bullet. I want to pool all my influence together and maybe build IO sets for just on or two toons. I have the following ATs at my disposal:

Invuln/War Mace tank
Emp/NRG defender
Rad/Rad defender
Kin/Psi defender
Ice/Nrg tank
Fire/Fire tank
Ice/Ice corruptor

my question is...if you were going to buy lvl 45-50 IO sets for any of the ATs above. Which one would you invest in and why. When done...I would really like a lvl 50 toon that is totally badass in most high level game cotent...AE farms...Raids...TFs/ITFs....etc.

if you have an AT not a my disposal feel free to add...maybe i will just role a new toon.

i knew they switched the order of jawbreaker and clobber...so they did that and then boosted clobber's damage to extreme?

i quit playing right before I10. i have been reading the boards and playing for a few weeks now and i am noticing many more threads and toons discussing/with warmace builds.

i thought i was just about the only warmace tank in existence on the guardian server back then so i am wondering...have their been some significant changes to warmace since I9?

if so...where can i find those changes. (and any changes to invuln would be nice to know too : )
