He really conveyed the literal "classic" feel.

If I were voting for prettiest, I would pick Tacky_Tricky.

    okay 2 things

    Is paint shop, paint?

If so, no idea. But my friend found a site someplace on the web, with a free editing program that was very similar to adobe photoshop.

I will text and ask her the website.

    *edit*
I can't do jack in regular old windows paint. I would tear out my eyes.
But try this site - Paint.net - You have to download it, so I'm not sure what all its capable of, but its got to be better than normal paint.

    Here

Just for future note, editing something like that, where you have everything perfectly sized is super easy. Just copy via layer, place it where you want it, set the opacity to around 50% and start erasing all the stuff you don't want.

Then when your done, just flatten it.

Note: this falls within DA's policies, as he is not "at attention".

I find it hilarious that those are the rules.

    OH EM GEE TREE

Yeah I am adding that stuff last since I keep coloring over it >_>

Notice my bats seem to have vanished. Guess they were on a layer I colored and didn't realize it.

I am VERY disorganized with my layers.
  6. I want it!

Darn now I have something else to remember to do all the time. >_<

Though I don't play the game anymore, so maybe you can just draw me.
  7. Aliandra

    OH EM GEE TREE

K I think I have sufficiently fixed the sword issue. update

I am thinking of adding a little silhouette of an old church or castle in the background on a hill. I will probably finish it up tonight or tomorrow.
I'm fairly surprised I was able to keep interest long enough to actually get this far. My signature is very telling.

    OH EM GEE TREE

Oh thank for you the screenies. That will definitely help. I am a tad of a perfectionist so knowing that I drew in the wrong stuff drives me bonkers. Though if you enjoy the sleeves I will keep them.

I am such a costume noob now that they added all the new stuff. I am just the person behind the forum, I don't play the game anymore. Though I was a bit sad about that fact when the mission architect came out.

Thanks for the compliments from everyone. Particularly the one about my super amazing tree (background).
  9. Aliandra

    OH EM GEE TREE

Anybody got a better pic? Maybe a side view?
  10. Aliandra

    OH EM GEE TREE

You know I was trying to figure out what you meant by "what you did with the sleeves" and I was baffled until I went back and looked at the screen shot.

WHOOPS , I didn't realize those were pirate swords and NOT just poofy sleeves.

Maybe I shouldn't have tried to draw just from memory. >_>
  11. Aliandra

    OH EM GEE TREE

Heh, wasn't quite done, but my hand says no more for today. I will probably have another update tomorrow, after I get home from errands.

    Your character hath inspired me.
  12. Aliandra

    OH EM GEE TREE

I drew a background! I am so excited. Sure its simple and dead but it's my background and I am proud of myself.

    Treeeeeeee!

This is Ivory, a character that was posted in Wassy's thread.

Now if you will excuse me, I need to go massage my very sore hand. My art pad pwnt me.
  13. Hot oil maybe, squirrels I think I will pass on.

    Pfft, your thunder is un-stealable.

I wish I was capable of making pretty marker art. I can't be trusted using something that's not erasable though. Not to mention, that your stuff is always so unique and totally Wassy.
  14. [ QUOTE ]

    The newly created brute, Ivory.

    *temporary thread jack*

I really like that look so I was doodling her . I am sure Wassy won't mind me posting this here, because she is always such a sweet heart on the boards.
I might work on it again later, but I need to go meet the hubby for dinner right now.

This will probably be background practice for me. Don't make fun of my gimpy tree D:

*edit* I will pm the updates to Des if there are any. I don't want to curse Wassy's awesome thread with my thread killing powers.

    Plase halp

    Heh you caught the reference.

Yeah I was trying to do some really far off buildings, and I totally botched it. Its probably something I could do better on pencil and paper with the help of a ruler, but using my tablet, I fail so hard at straight lines.
I guess I will try my hand and finding tutorials again later, when I am not so dizzy, but every time I searched I always just came up with wallpapers for pc's D:
  16. Aliandra

    Plase halp

I do everything in photo shop. It is saved there as a flat, but I have it in many layers elsewhere.

I was wondering if anybody has any links to a guide or discussion, or anything that could help me with my backgrounds. I suck soooo much at adding a background to an image.

I was doodling a few days ago and I ended up putting too much effort in to a doodle, forcing me to actually finish it. Problem is I can't for the life of me come up with a background. And you know an image never really feels finished without one.

I tried looking stuff up, but after the hectic week I have had, I just lack the patience for a quality google search-a-thon.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Oh almost forgot, image is here.

    I can't use that thing 'cos I can't draw with a mouse

    [/ QUOTE ]

Your drawing pad should work as a mouse, or so I would assume since mine does.
Artpad still gives me headaches though, because it lacks zoom, erase,etc..

But alas my husband was doing a project and I grew bored, so I have this oddity to show for it.
God forbid I actually work on a real picture in photoshop...no that would be productive, and we can't have that.
  20. Here

His eyebrows were not assisting in the not monkeyness. The face that was originally there was actually all wrong for a human so I had to change it a bit. It's still a tad off imo, but that would take more than five minutes of effort, and you would have to say pretty please for me to be that not lazy.

Your lucky I decided to check the second page.
If you need anything else send me a PM or message me on deviant art

*edit* Because I am so lazy I uploaded it with the same name and it was showing up as the old image. *edit*
  21. I had a few minutes earlier before you replied so I did this .
If you wanted something different let me know. Working on tiny images is quick work.
  22. Me and photoshop are pretty good friends. What kind of hair did you have in mind?
  23. [ QUOTE ]
I'm wondering if someone can test something for me/us. I need someone who does not have a DA account. I can send them via PM some links to "questionable" pics, and to a DA member's page with "questionable" pics on it. I want to see if they can see such pics without DA membership.

    Any takers?

    [/ QUOTE ]
You can test it by simply logging out of DA and clicking the links yourself.

Also I hate to be a butt, but I noticed that in Lighthouses post on the art forums, that the DA page he linked is one click away from questionable art via the "recent watchers" list.

Is he going to mod himself now?
  24. Aliandra

    MMO ART?

That was really generous of you to do.You even waited for it to be done so you didn't get his hopes up in case it ended up getting delayed.

    Very kind of you Juggertha.

Ok wasn't sure exactly how deviant works since I am fairly new to it.Though I do know that photobucket had a little hissy when I posted a picture of myself with a phalic image drawn on my face.
It was a VERY mild picture, cartoonish in nature, yet they deemed it highly inappropriate.
For the first one I will keep it on the safer side.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Well, yes, Deviant Art does have limits as well. Those limits can be found at: http://help.deviantart.com/565/

I liked the sketches from Alex, but I think I liked the Turbo Ski-Kite one the best so far.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Thanks very much.I for some reason could not find that, or anything like it.
    <-dummy

I am fairly sure my pic slightly violates one of those rules, so I am gonna remove it soon. Not something I really wanted on my DA anyways.

I get a bad enough rep without posting pictures like that. >_<

I do still need art practice though. But maybe something SFW this time, even if drawing clothes does give me a headache.
