Quote:Interesting. Things certainly have changed since Issue 7. TYVM BuckWild =)I picked up the Fighting pool on my willpowers not my SRs. Can cap def pretty easy with SR and sets. Then your only concern is occassional healing (or comparable regen). Willpower is nice without fighting but awesome with it. Especially on a tanker.
Don't know much about Body mastery but rarely do I find +recovery +regen powers to be redundant. If you can spare the power selections, probably wont hurt you to grab both. -
Played City of Heroes back during Invulnerabilities hay day back on Champion. A friend gave me his account (to much a full time raider in WoW) and I must say he has some impressive toons. Have a few questions however if anyone would be kind to give me some tips;
1: Account has a MA/SR scrapper. Are most scrapper types still getting into the fighting power set for tough and weave?
2: Has a level 22 Willpower/SS tanker. same as above
the last question pertains to all powersets available for scrappers. I've noticed that Body Mastery has been changed to accommodate a new Stamina type ability similar to the one in the fitness tree. Does this actually make the fitness tree redundant then?
Peace
PS. New to the server but not the game. Please bear with me =) -
For my broadsword/dark armor scrapper I have would have to say, "The Beginning of the End" by Rob Zombie

oh and i didn't read the whole subject. my master was not just a good martial artist...he was something else. almost all of my studies and training was not pure martial arts and weapons mastery. It was pretty much ALOT of meditation. I think he had alot of experience in the expanded mind arts. I won't get into details what he could do (you wouldn't believe me trust me) all I can say is, is that States would have one hell of a time dealing with him if they ever sparred
-
well probably exaggerating yes but he was that good. dont care about skyscrapers, he could just nerve pinch States so he couldn't feel anything from the neck down then break his neck. And yer right though there was one thing my master taught me was there a HUGE difference between strength and power.
Strength is being able to knockout a guy with a punch to the face. Power is being able to crush someones rib cage using only the palm of your hand. my master was almost nothing but power. to this day there are some things he did that i can't explain. -
I woudl say a level 30-40 katana, martial arts, spearmaster, broadsword SR scrapper. I've been training into martial arts and weapons mastery since i was 6. Know various nerve pinching technigues, wizard with a polearm and quite knowledgable with knives.
My master however from my training...theres no doubt in my mind. Level 200 SS, martial arts, mind controller with super reflexes and Regen secondary. I've seen my master split 12 blocks of pure cement with just his two index fingers. The guy could easily one shot Statesmen easy. yeah..i miss that old fart alot -
Jack if your were a woman I would kiss you full on the lips for this . My scrappers usually do nothing but solo so Arch Villian missions usually get ignored I'm sorry to say. However with this change not only is their the possibility of getting Arch Villians but also the advantage of soloing an Elite Boss which would be great. I take back all the things I said about the developers not listening to us. You are listening and doing great changes like this. For the longest time I thought you hated the solo players. Now I see you're doing all you can to make the game enjoyable to them which I deeply thank you for. Lets hear for Statesmen, HE'S THE BOMB!! (and i've seen you in action on the Statesmens Pal badge mission. OUCH! Remind me not to piss you off

Now this I didn't know. Boy am I glad I dont do PVP. Seriously though any Hero or Villian (yes villian) that sinks this low in sniping people who can't fight back because they're to busy reviving is a coward and deserves NO reward for doing such cowardly acts. Let the poor guy get back on his feet so he/she can grant you a proper fight.
I mean come on! I may not play the new zones but the people who really do this you need to show some backbone instead of being the little cowards that you are and picking people off when they can't fight back. This just prompts me to stay out of the PVP zones entirely...not even to explore. They are dead zones to me now -
Well I have a number questions but I think I speak for a majority of the community when I ask this: When is the new Skill System going live? Also my own personal question: Are we going to be able to have jetpacks optional in the flight pool?

Now I do like this idea Statesmen....in fact I love it. I've seen SR scrappers get hit once and die due to the fact they have no resistance...just defense. Makes SR actually playable now
-
Like putting a band aid on a broken leg. You havent taken into mind the limitations on abilities Positron. Tankers will have bad resistance therefore die alot. Blasters can't do enough damage therefore die alot. Scrappers are the same. Defenders can't heal as good as they did so they can't save people as much as before and can't buff as well. Controllers can't hold well at all now and in the end the whole team gets party wiped by a even con mob that should've been easy to deal with. In short the reduction in endurance cost fixes nothing...you simply slapped something in to save what little credibility the development team has left due to this large scale change.
