Crank back the sarcasm a little, it's not like I said "let's merge the servers". Perhaps it's only just occurred to me because:
a) I didn't make the link between Sybil and Psyche
b) Imperious really doesn't remind me too much of Statesman, even with the faceplate.
Seeing Daedulus fight is the first real time I've seen an obvious similarity.
Thanks for being so accepting to my post. -
I was running the new Deadulus Cimerora story arcs last night with two members of my supergroup, stretching our wearing skiing muscles and putting the smackdown on Arachnos, Malta, Crey and Cimerorans alike. It was during one of the final missions when Daedulus accompanied us, that one of my teammates yelled out - HE'S POSITRON!
Deadulus as gold / blue armour, and radiation powers. He is the 'master craftsman' of his era. He is, for all intents and purposes, that generations Position - down to the power sets!
So - do we think this was lazy dev work - or do with think that perhaps there is a link? -
Necrotron - I read the OP, and appreciated your examples with the shadows under the bridge, the lighting, and the car involved in the mix. You clearly spotted something that you felt needed 'improving', and you came to the correct place to 'suggest' an improved system. Obviously, we don't expect every player of a computer game to be a coder, a scientist, a programmer, or even 'someone that knows somewhere between nothing and everything about graphics in some way or some degree'. I just wanted to say that your suggestion, to me, sounds valid. Although I don't let the graphics get to me (I just love the gameplay), there is no denying that yes, the lighting could do with some work. The fog, I'm not so sure (not really thought about it much) so I won't voice any opinions on that one.
Don't get downhearted when opinions in here appear to be 'shot down'. Many items that are put in the forums for 'discussion' are not 'discussed' - they are simply 'commented on' with various levels of 'bad delivery'. I hope you aren't deterred from posting by these people, as I believe that you have valid opinions, just like every one else here. -
"Anywhere there is costume granting stuff, should have a tailor."
Or - in your base :P

In the Arachn'Oz' stories, you'd only ever be able to follow the Yellow Line to get around ;o)
-
Proof that SGs are all very different, and that players are all looking for different things.
-
I don't really think I need any of them, but part of me is tempted to save up, grab them, and store them in my recipe inventory, just in case the need arises in the future!

Main / Only : Winter Flare
Powers : Ice/Ice Blaster
Goal(s):
1) Earning badges
2) Creating a stronger / IO set spec'd build
3) Completing all flashbacks / available content available for my character
4) Earning Super Group badges -
I have to agree - I prefer 'earning' them and having a longer list than those who haven't ;o)

Surely three weeks is plenty of time for six ski runs, a couple of tours for candy collection, and a few runs of the father time missions?
And isn't the 'restricted period' meant to encourage gameplay? You see that the event goes live, pop onto the server, and you'll find hundreds of other players all enjoying the festivities. If it's a longer period of time, those numbers are going to be thinned out, and it won't be as impressive. Events are there to assemble the masses and bring people back to the game. There always need to be longer periods of 'normality' for general gameplay to continue - these events are just bonuses for those that continue to play, and reasons to return / update for those that don't play much.
Also, if you stretch out the period of the winter event, it'll eventually run head-first into the valentine's one, and start just after halloween ends! There needs to be some time between each event for 'normality'!
I think 3 weeks is plenty of time - even for someone that's never logged on to an Xmas event before this year. -
Not bad, Phantoms. I'm certainly inspired to give it a shot myself!

Do you mean being able to see costume parts that you *don't* have access to, grey out, so that you know they are obtainable, you just have yet to acquire them?
-
I think the question is, Surudo, have *you* ever had to pay rent for your hidden, underground, hi-tech or mystical hide-away, in which spandex and armour-clad heroes gather to conquer evil?

I never thought it was doing 'harm' - I tend to agree more with the point that people who join the game may ask what 'base' salvage is when they see the tab in their inventory, only to be told 'it's something that doesn't drop anymore, that can't really be used, and just gets converted into this new kind of salvage'.
I think we'll see it removed when they see the level of salvage dropping somewhat. -
It has been stated that base salvage will not be 'removed' - it will remain in game, even though it can no longer be dropped by mobs - and therefore whatever is left is slowly whittling down.
The devs must be able to query how much is currently held by people / racks / the AH? I personally bought a chunk of what was on sale in the AH for the sole purpose of turning into brainstorms and then into rare invention salvage. There's a bit being sold still - not a lot, not what I would say was a 'fair bit' - and I'm sure people still have some stored somewhere.
So - why not remove it, after a while? Give, say, a two issue deadline, and then turn whatever is left into invention salvage / inf / prestige / brainstorms? -
Certainly a good way to make influence over Xmas for very little effort, especially if you don't need/want the winter set
-
Especially fair given how easy it was to turn stockpiles of invention salvage into more Tech Software Component than you could possible need / want
-
I'm not sure. A tailor option in the base, yes, but I'm not sure a 'change into uniform' option will be available. With multiple costume slots AND SG colours available, SG's can have co-ordinated costumes without having 'uniforms'.
A 'uniform' could be put together by the SG, and then exported as a save file (new costume editor) and downloaded / imported into a costume slot at the player's discretion, and then can be edited to fit their style (cap, mask, helet, aura). -
That's just Raven being Raven... I'm happy, so that's two of us Yay for CoP
-
Um...
Don't you get 3 brain storms for component salvage? I did...
It's 1 per base piece, 3 for component... -
I love Mother's ideas! /signed (Saying that makes me feel a bit like 'Psycho'... :S )
I really like the half-pipe / ice rink. In the Victorian era, Ice Rinks were very festive/social, and I think it would draw a crowd - if they had an 'ice skate' emote / walking animation that would be even better! The half-pipe would just be fun - we all like FrostFire's base
What about a 'snowball' fight? Build a little 'battlefield' in Pocket D - and you can organise team snowball fights using the snowball attack and points system? -
I took the same approach as highlighted by Golden Phoenix, and...
GOOOLLLLDDDDD!!!
Sorry for leaving you in my dust last night, GG
Max slot/enhance SS, SJ and swift, slap on a power slide power, pick up buffs from base - and SB is no longer needed. I managed to break the gold without IR too! Yayness! Back to PVP!
