  5. At least I finished Act II in Titan Quest on my level 27 Spellbreaker, but damn, I thought that was going to take at least some time. :P I blew though that part and I'm like, "Can the servers go back up now?"

And even my Dark/elec brute feels underpowered with SO level enhancements. I still need to level it more to further see how well it pans out, but it's by no means re-guarded as a one of the better armors. The only advantage /elec really has over /sr is the damage aura.
  7. the stacking -res will matter on anything important. Minions? No. Bosses, EBs, AVs? Yes it will.

How about Transference? Efficacy Adaptor seems to be the best set for both of those since Performance Shift +Endurance would apparently help my targets, or am I missing something?
I don't know if the Theft of Essence proc would have a chance to give the targets of the heal the additional end, or not. Note the word targets. For Dark Regen(Dark Armor), it gives the caster extra end for each target it hits in an AoE, so I'm wondering if the opposite in a way would happen. It might be worth looking into.

I could see doing 5 slotting Performance Shifter with the 6th slot being for acc/recharge from Efficacy Adaptor. General slotting for Transference is 2 acc, 2 end mod, 2 recharge. The 6th slot is there to get the acc and recharge more in line. If not that, 6 slot Efficacy Adaptor and call it a day since the 6th slot gives recharge and the set should be cheaper.

SC generally gets slotted 1 acc, 2 end mod, 3 recharge. I would be tempted to mix that one up to maybe pull off the Energy Manipulator stun proc since SC is a PBAoE and can be used a number of times per mob.

I like WP as a set, but I play tanks to tank, so I hardly play my WP/stone. My Ice tanks, or Dark/stone do get played. My Dark/stone will likely be the one that gets to 50 first just because it's a lesser played build and yet awesome due to the stacking AoE stuns. It's end issues are overrated as well.
  10. And to say /sonic is the most damaging we are talking about single target only. /a, /rad, and /dark will all put out more sheer damage numbers due to the AoEs.

    Claws/??

/sr and /regen are the best default picks for Claws. Both don't care if you knock stuff around with Shockwave. IMO, /sr is the most ideal, but /regen is currently the PvP king for secondaries. Added bonus is that brutes currently don't get /regen so a Claws/regen turned villain will be only way that build is on red side outside of stalkers and thus you can make all of the brutes jealous. :P

Heh, some of my best gaming friends here were known to do that kind of stuff all of the time. And yes, the vast majority of the time we all lived.
  13. I always slot for damage in my attacks. I really don't see the point in slotting for the debuffs. I have a untested theory about slotting for /dark, but again, it's in my head so I wouldn't want to say, "Hey, go spend 'x' amount of influ on this idea I have" when in the end I'm wrong. If I could find a server slot open(waits to stop laughing) I could go and AE farm up a build high enough to do some testing with it.*

For sets, any additional acc/tohit is always welcome. Same with recharge because those two AoEs have a base of 10 second recharge. If you go without Stamina, and it's a no-brainer to do so, you'll want end recovery just to make things even easier overall and more so if you solo since you don't have Vigilance helping you out. Outside of those, and they don't really need much, but pack any defense you can in there, but I tend not to go too nutty with my builds, ie adding in Tough and Weave. Adding in some sort of KB protection is generally viewed as a good thing in my book. /dark can get away with being played at range, so you'll have less need for it.

    * I think I worked out how to do this in my head. Me being me, don't expect much soon. :P
  14. I take O2 Boost for the added protection from end drain and it further helps keep Stoney vertical. Earth/storm has enough control that you can skip powers to free up others like O2 Boost.

In nearly four years of playing, I have 2 level 50s. An Earth/storm is one of them, and they hit 50 before AE came out, and I they didn't use farms back then either. One of the most fun rides to 50 I'll have. It can get an abusive amount of control even by level 18. Solos well enough for me in the end and I haven't even really used an alt build made for soloing. I rolled it based off of a name and concept. This was before I was on the forums so I had zero input in terms of how good the build would be, or what it would be like. I just assumed it would be good because it seemed like it would be.

Have you even tried to solo a Kheld? Defenders do not solo with greater difficulty than controllers. Try soloing a Ice/ff and a Rad/sonic and see how much crappier the defender solos. It won't. Some defenders runs circles around controllers for soloing. Some controllers run circles around defenders for soloing. Controllers as a whole likely do solo easier than defenders, but by no means do they do it with greater less difficulty as a whole for the AT.

D'oh. Forgot about my Kin/sonic. 39-40. It was when Virtue became so horrible with lag. I could have easily gotten to the 42-45 range that night if the lagfest didn't happen.

I guess I really don't look at team wipes as a bad thing outside of how much it will slow us down at the time it happens.

From what the poster said the scattering was happening before they used Force bubble. The rest of the team outside of the OP, tank, and controller was largely blasters. It only takes one of them to be En/* to start to scatter things. And no, not every En/* blaster magically knows how to use KB properly. :P

Not only was the team supported by a FF defender, a controller was there as well. Now, if "it" was hitting the fan, and both of them weren't enough support as is, then maybe this was a less than ideal team and even though it looks good on paper, the reality is stuff can still go wrong in these situations. One FF defender doesn't make a team immune.
