Yah, they're the spawned attacks that WLs throw at high level foes.
So, yell at the highbies to dispatch them right away. -
Quote:That's why they're taking a 2 week holiday over Christmas.I think there's this misguided notion that the folks at Paragon Studios hate all other games. It's simply not true. They are gamers just like a lot of us are. I'm almost certain that most of them will be spending some time in a place "far, far away," as you put it.
Anyway, the idea of an X-killer is old-school thinking when it was all about the $15/month sub fee. Most people aren't going to and can't afford subbing to a large number of games at once, and so, they were all fighting over a limited number of possible subscriptions.
The F2P and hybrid models throws most of that out the window. -
Was the Warden offering you candy?

Quote:Yes, the 'purple' combat scaling code is used. Her rank depends on number of players / difficulty setting (at least, it should theoretically).I just killed her using my 51 Ninja/FF MM. She actually has no level. She is like a Giant Monster right?
At first I thought you have to fight her as GM (why else would people need to seek for a team?) but then I joined one team and Lady is only Elite.
Oh well, I find it more satisfying to kill her as GM or AV. It's an AV with no level. The first time I set it at +1 and then I set it at +4. I don't notice her being much more difficult at +4 setting.
Lady should be pretty tough for melee that doesn't have -slow/recharge resistance. She does tons of -recharge debuff. Luckily my Ninjas are not affected by it but her two Ice Swords are actually melee cones. T_T
And if all that -recharge is hurting folks, then that's probably to get them to buy the Slow Resistance Winter's Gift proc. -
Quote:Lady Winter is full of debuff.her dmg debuff is prolly in the form of chilling embrace, shes honestly much easier to fight on a ranged toon since she only has like 2 ranged attacks one of which is very weak lol

Hero and Villain skins are perfectly fine for me with and without Zombie Skins.

Quote:Yeah, it's not like Superman can be taken down with a rock... oh, wait...Quoting Tim "Black Scorpion" Sweeney, from this developer diary last November:
http://massively.joystiq.com/2010/11...ging-the-gods/
Your best "universe-shaking stuff" is mundanes armed with stones, un-targetable invincible guard towers, escaped mental patients and moldy War Walkers with bloated regeneration?
Yeah, you could do better.
Can you? -
Quote:You're right. I'm just a mindless drone who is incapable of free thought nor of ever being critical of anything any Dev ever says or does.Huh that's weird because my non-slotted toons, even the squishies, can take quite a lot of fire and rocks at the low levels before they faceplant.
And hey I've seen Tankers with no defenses (since you mention softcap) tank the 4 STF AVs at once and then Recluse!
Now on TPN the rock can kill them in 2 shots (two because they're tankers and all)
(gotta love people who post anything to justify stupid game situations like they were the dev's acolytes)
By pointing this out, you have proven to the world that you're the most intelligent person in the world and that you are 137% right.
Everyone now knows just how clever your arguments are and just how much faith to put in them. You're awesome! -
You have 6 pyshics simul-attacking you pretty much negating any soft-cap Defense you have. So... in those situations, rocks and fire are bad.

So, let me guess:
Humans were bred by the Aliens to be incubators for their young, but some revolt/cataclysm led to the Aliens think humanity was wiped out so they went into hibernation and then remnant humanity, having lost its history in the revolt/cataclysm, has gained space travel and stumbles upon and awakens our dormant overlords and hilarity ensues. -
Zwillinger keeps believing Seattle despite the fact they call him 'Blockhead' and 'Sisyphus."

The lion couldn't really be killed since he was God. -

Quote:You've had a rough few weeks there. My apologies for not posting yesterday.
I've got a pretty set in stone policy that I never post about something when I'm upset about it, and yes, yesterday's delay gave reason to pause.
As of right now we're tentatively on for tomorrow for another attempted deployment.

They announced on Twitter two days ago (Monday) that it was supposed to be yesterday (Tuesday) and it hasn't happened. No other word from our sponsors.

Hop on over to Virtue, I have two toons parked at the top of the Advanced Course auto-simul-casting IR. Lots of people get gold with that.

For those who think knowing Statesman will die ruins the story telling, may I ask you:
Does knowing that in every other case Statesman (and any other hero, including yourself in the CoH Universe) is going to live ruin the story for you? We all know with 99.99999% certainty that the hero of a series lives. Does such cases of knowing that the hero doesn't die *ruin* the story for you?
Ordinarily, every time the hero is threatened with death... we know it ain't gonna happen. That's a story spoiler for you, then, right? -
Quote:Ouch.I knew it was last minute, but I have some items held back in case of emergencies. The Warwolf Whistle was the anchor of the pack, and then I padded it with interesting consumable items (the bat / slugger, temp revolver and inspirations) plus I added the self-revive power.
I also asked that the Halloween Event be extended by a week.
Well..., long story short, the pack was released, exposed some strong feelings about the price of inspirations (which we later tested on Black Friday), and someone didn't approve the Halloween Event extension. -
Quote:I don't suppose you've ever heard of retailers introducing a new product at a introductory sales price then? Because it happens all the time in retail. And it's called.... a sale.Sorry, but no, it really doesn't.
These aren't sale prices. I know this because they have never been offered at any other price. Those other numbers you've tagged on there are nothing but meaningless advertizing.
The price of a LotG set was 400 points.
The price of an obliteration set is 428 points.
Full stop. Those are the only prices we have ever been able to buy those products at. Anything else is an illusion to create a desired effect.
Someone there decided at what price these particular good would be offered and their choice is still a puzzling one. -
Quote:Vanity.A couple of questions:
The snowbeast, vanity pet or the functional one ?
Do attuned set IOs and the normal level based ones combine for set bonuses, ie can I put 2 attuned eradications in a power and the other 4 normal ones and get the set bonus for 6 ?
Yes. Mixing regular and attuned IO in a Set is OK.
