I'm sorry that I referred to Zwillinger as a hyperactive squirrel on a sugar rush. As for the diabetes, I would suggest that his blood sugar levels were a bit off during the UStream this morning.

Quote:I've updated the above links with the IDF and Barbarian sets.Broken down parts per pack.
Average costs of a la carte/pack vs bundled parts/pack.
Note, the Party pack doesn't have any costumes to bundle and Mutant, GR:Basic, GR:Complete, and Good vs Evil don't offer bundles. IDF and Barbarian sets not included in this list.
You verify me on this and not the rest? Wow.Quote:
Ok, if you can verify one more thing:
Origin Bundle includes the following:
Origins Pack Magic Origin Cape (Cloak of the Eighth Circle) 100
Origins Pack Mutant Origin Cape (Spliced) 100
Origins Pack Natural Origin Cape (Autumnal) 100
Origins Pack Science Origin Cape (Unified Field Façade) 100
Origins Pack Technology Origin Cape (Impervium Mantle) 100
Origin Bundle does not include the following:
Origins Pack Atomic 80
Origins Pack Bio Plasma 80
Origins Pack Cryogenic 80
Origins Pack Leaves 80
Origins Pack Runes 80
Origins Pack Sparks 80
Origins Pack Steamjets 80
Origins Pack Tarot Cards 80
Origins Pack Thunderhead 80
Origins Pack Toxic Vapor 80
If these two lists are correct, then someone needs to go through all the bundles and say they do NOT include the auras. -

Quote:Some people, myself included, don't have a large SG to fall back on to ensure that everyone knows how to work together. If you have a stable SG that can do these badges on a regular basis, great.i totally disagree with this. The the thing that makes it tough is that you have to work as a team and make sure you AND your allies does die. I agree with green stuff and dodger
The fact that a lot of players have to do these essentially with PUGs makes getting them harder than they should be.
The fact that they CAN be PUG'd is probably the best explanation why MoAPEX and MoBAF are far and away the most collected of the group. -
Quote:Agreed, though the same can be said for the following badges:Would be nice if badges like Green Stuff would still reward to the ones that actually DO avoid the green stuff rather then penalize the whole league for one or two people screwing up.
- Loves a Challenge
- Midnight Dodger
- Master of the 5th Column Strike Force
- Master of the 5th Column Task Force
- Master of Lady Grey's Task Force
- Master of the Imperious Task Force
- Master of Statesman's Task Force
- Master of Lord Recluse's Strike Force

Quote:Ok, comparing July 11th to this morning:Well you certainly can't argue too much against cold hard facts.

I think the only thing you have to factor in is the fact that some of these Mo badges have been around for a lot longer than others so there may be more of those listed here just because there's been more time for people to get them.
Also I still think as time goes on the Underground Trial will end up rating as one of the "easier" Mo badges. I think it's "hard" right now just because it's new - the actual things you have to do to get the side badges are relatively straightforward in that one.
Code:Badge Name 07/11/2011 09/21/2011 Difference Master of Apex's Task Force 1,666 1,882 216 Master of the B.A.F. 929 1,175 246 Master of the Imperious Task Force 744 887 143 Master of the 5th Column Task Force 591 691 100 Master of Statesman's Task Force 580 676 96 Master of Tin Mage's Task Force 469 605 136 Master of Lady Grey's Task Force 383 469 86 Master of Lord Recluse's Strike Force 392 466 74 Master of the 5th Column Strike Force 328 393 65 Master of Lambda Sector 271 368 97 Master of Keyes Island Reactor 14 76 62 Master of the Underground 0 46 46

Quote:One point about the Origins Pack: I don't know if the bundle for that includes the auras or not. If the bundle does include the auras (unlike other bundles on the market), the average price goes down. The absolute highest is $1.00 per part for the origins pack. Most of them though hover around 25-30 cents per part. Even if you take the average from the pieces when bought individually, only the origins pack is near $1.00 (looking at that, it's a bit overpriced).
-
Sorry, did someone say something? I've been working on the "Start 50 badge count threads" badge.
-
Quote:Are these what you are looking for?Yes, there should be value in ordering items as a set, but 1) they're valuing individual items at 1/5th the price of 40-60 items, 2) you can't buy them as a set so you have to pay those high prices. Hell, just the weapons offered in the Barbarian pack are worth $5.00 at the same price we're expected to pay for new auras and backpacks.
$1.00 = 1 item
$5.00 = around 50 items (or 10 items per dollar)
I'd actually be interested to see just how many costume parts each pack contains. Divide that by five and you'll get the estimated worth for a costume part when bought as a pack. For instance, the magic pack has 47 costume parts or so. So is the real value of the magic pack $47, and they're just being nice and offering it for 1/10th that? Is the magic pack in reality worth three months of subscription time?
Broken down parts per pack.
Average costs of a la carte/pack vs bundled parts/pack.
Note, the Party pack doesn't have any costumes to bundle and Mutant, GR:Basic, GR:Complete, and Good vs Evil don't offer bundles. IDF and Barbarian sets not included in this list.
The best is the Magic Pack at a savings of $0.58 on average per part. The worst is the Wedding Pack at a savings of $0.02 on average per part. -
This implies, incorrectly I might add, that they are charging "nickels" or "dimes" instead of "$5" and "$10". In other words multiply "nickel & dime" by 100 to get what they are charging.

Quote:Even at those prices (113.5 & 225), they are double the price of what they should be.i think the prices they are listing arent entirely right
on the website they have the revives listed as 225 (which is crossed out) and 1135 as 50% off (im thinking its supposed to be 113 but the .5 didnt get dropped and just got tacked on)
for the unslotters they are listed as 450 (crossed out) and sale price being 225
The more I look at the market, the less I want to use it because the prices are stupid. They say these are micro-transactions, but they are set at macro-transaction prices. -
Quote:As of July 11th, City Information Terminal had the following number of characters tracked with each badge:Just like the title, what do you think is the hardest "Master of..." badge to get is...and why?
My ranking from easy to hard is this -
Imperious / Lady Grey (These are both pretty easy, altough Lady Grey's Hami mission is tricky)
Kahn (Quad AV's at the end make it slightly harder than a ITF)
Tin Mage (Director 11's fight..although easier with incarnates now)
BAF (you could almost do it sleeping, but the final fight needs some degree of timing)
Apex (Final AV fight on a timer, puts pressure to get it done, some just can't do it)
Barracuda (Last room fight, with no deaths can be a real killer)
Lord Recluse (Final AV's fight, unless well orchestrated could make you fail)
Statesman (Ghost Widow..enough said)
Lambda (Fighting Maurader's res without nades sucks..bad)
Underground (LONG...the timing on the final fight may be difficult, not alot of teams have the coordination for the bomb run)
Keyes (Avoids the Green Stuff badge..and Loves a Challenge..old school master rules on new content sucks)
What kind of ranking do you have? Which "Master of.." badge are you most pround of?
1666 characters : Master of Apex's Task Force
929 characters : Master of the B.A.F.
744 characters : Master of the Imperious Task Force
591 characters : Master of the 5th Column Task Force
580 characters : Master of Statesman's Task Force
469 characters : Master of Tin Mage's Task Force
392 characters : Master of Lord Recluse's Strike Force
383 characters : Master of Lady Grey's Task Force
328 characters : Master of the 5th Column Strike Force
271 characters : Master of Lambda Sector
14 characters : Master of Keyes Island Reactor
I would place Master of Underground between Lambda and Keyes currently. The MoUG attempts on Triumph seem to be in the "fail stages" with 2 fails for every success. -
Quote:I see... You actually don't want people to buy these, huh? That is the only explanation I can think of for the price.Revival Temporary Power (5 charges)

Each charge restores a character to full health and endurance, with five seconds of invulnerability. Also available in packs of 1 and 3 charges.
Store Market Location: Buffs & Boosts > Temporary Powers
1132 Points - 50% off
Same goes for this. This is about 4 times what it is worth. -
Hello.
I'm sure, like bitter medicine, you would rather not hear the comments from your customers. What you seem to not understand is that your prices are just too high. A permanent Halloween costume is not the equal of a full power set. You seem willing to drag this game into the same mud as EVE did with their $90 monocle.Quote:Ghost Falcon here, and I would like to thank everyone for providing comments on our Talk Like a Pirate Day - Spectral Pirate Costume Power promotion.
If you think what you are hearing is solely due to the promotion, you are completely wrong. The price point is insane.Quote:We are actively monitoring this thread and the sales data of this item. Both will be used in designing and altering future promotions.
I have to say that the hits just keep on coming. You don't compound one bad move with another. You lose the trust of your customers that way. I'm sure that if I said exactly what I want to say about this policy that I'd be banned from the game.Quote:Please note that at the end of this sale, the Spectral Pirate Costume will be removed, and will not be available for sale in the Paragon Market again in the near future.
Given that it is (at least) four times what it is actually worth even on sale, even as an account wide and permanent power. I think you need to re-examine your pricing policies for the entire store. -
Quote:I don't like the method. It is a pain in the **** substitute for something that should have been tracked in the market/account since launch. Going further back, the people that designed the previous account pages to list all the boosters as "perk" should have been replaced with competent staff and not have been allowed to make the new store.NOTE: I am not trying to suggest Snow Globe likes this method (unless his/her opinion changed, s/he does not).
Oh, and "he" and "his".
Agreed, but it is only slightly better than nothing.
Yes, these are a problem.Quote:First it is quasi-character based. Meaning there will (likely) be slight variations between the characters you use it on. (It lists Account Item rewards, and if you have claimed it yet.)
Also, perhaps worse, it the repeat of item names with different codes. I am not sure if this is a bug, or if they actually represent different items. -
To get a list of your unlocks you can use the /mypurchases command.
Warning: it will spam your system message channel.
The easiest way to see it outside of the game is to:- enable chat logging
- use the /mypurchases command
- close the game
- Find the chat log. It should be in the \City of Heroes\logs\game logs\ directory.
- change the log file extension to .htm
- open the log file in a browser

Quote:I'm not really happy about the current "work-around" but it is possible to find out what you've unlocked. This is mostly an answer to question 1, though the Paragon Rewards are in there as well. The questions are:
1. Which actual things in the store have I purchased?
2. When did I purchase them?
3. How many distinct checkouts was that?
From the information I have seen so far, I simply have no evidence that anyone at NCsoft or Paragon can answer those questions. Obviously, the information should exist... But this store has been a running series of gaffes which no one could possibly make.

I agree, the people that made the online store are a bunch of mindless jerks that should be first against the wall when the revolution comes.Quote:If someone can convince me that ncsoft really does have transaction records and history, I'm inclined to buy some more points and fill some stuff out. But without that history... I'm not super comfortable buying things through a store that may or may not leave any record behind except the observation that character slots are marked unlocked and my account has fewer points. I want to have some confidence that, if that data gets screwed up, there's records to allow recreating it.
I'll go further. I don't have any confidence in any of the following groups:Quote:I just don't have any confidence whatsoever in the people doing the store.- The people that made the store.
- The entire marketing group at Paragon Studios.
- Clockwork 01 for his insistence that the store operates in a "less than ideal" fashion. As a producer, the buck stops with him.

Guide to Going Rogue's Morality System - In plain English. ( http://tinyurl.com/GRMorality ) There is a link in my signature as well.
It is in the Guide to Guides in the Player Guides section.
In addition, I know I (and others) have posted the GR Morality System guide in a few threads in this section:
Villain To Rogue
Tips System, alignments and other questions!
And those are just the recent threads in this section.
Read the "Guide to Going Rogue's Morality System - In plain English."Quote:I am a villain currently which started as a praetorian. I want to become a hero. (I mainly started out as a praetorian to see the content and went villain, because I wanted to unlock a patron power before switching) now I want to go rogue and stay rogue.
How do I do this?
I know I need to do tips missions and I'm currently at 6/10 tips complete on rogue alignment. I'm worried if I do 10/10 I'll become a hero rather than a rogue.
How does this work? I need to get 10/10 tips then do 1 more and I become a rogue or I become a hero? Which one? -
Quote:That would tick a large number of players off and set them to bringing Positron a torch and pitchfork party. While I already have these, I would not be opposed to grouping most or all of them together as one of the rotating Tier 9+ Vip Paragon Rewards picks. That way you aren't directly selling them for cash, and the Tier 9 requirement maintains some amount of exclusivity for those who care about that. Not the best solution but better that the current situation.
He did specifically say that the Collectors Items were never going to be in the reward program. -
Quote:The problem is a Paragon Studios employee, not a person from any other company.I think it might have to do with the Heroclix that originally came with the collector's editions. If they have a legal contract with WizKids that says that the CEs cannot be sold without the clix, that creates a big problem as they no longer have the molds to make more.

No, I meant Liberate (from Paragon Wiki):
Resist Effects Inspirations
Break Free: Resist Effects
Frees you from many sleep, hold, immobilization, disorient, fear, confuse, and knockback effects and boosts your resistance to repel, taunt, and placate effects for 30 seconds. This inspiration can be used even while under such effects.

Liberate: Resist Effects
Frees you from many sleep, hold, immobilization, disorient, fear, confuse, and knockback effects and boosts your resistance to repel, taunt and placate effects for 90 seconds. This Inspiration can be used even while under such effects.
-40 Magnitude protection against Hold, Sleep, Stun, Immobilize, Fear, and Confuse; -20 Magnitude protection against Knockback and Knockup; 100% resistance to Repel; 75% resistance to Taunt and Placate
=========
The magnitude of the confuse in the last battle is fairly large (I was told mag 30), and I don't think emerges are "good enough". I know that break frees are not.
