Some interesting ones...
11-12-6 Fighting by appointment. Every person who shall, by previous appointment or arrangement, meet another person and engage in a fight, shall be imprisoned not more than ten (10) years or be fined not exceeding five thousand dollars ($5,000).
11-12-2 Challenging or accepting challenge to duel. Every person who shall challenge another to fight a duel with any dangerous weapon, to the hazard of life, and every person who shall accept a challenge to fight such duel, although no duel be fought, shall be imprisoned not exceeding seven (7) years nor less than one year.
Oh dear on the Arena then. It's also amusing when you need to have laws on Grocery carts too. -
How does November 1st sound for the Norwich Player Meet?
-
I don't plan on having kids, they'd take my money and want to use my technology. I'm fine with the cost of the game, was just a little surprised at how much I had spent!
Worth every penny for what the game's given me. -
Guild Wars has a large community, yes. But have you stood around in Ascalon and listened to the chatter, or the stuff that comes from Team mates? It makes Atlas Broadcast seem respectable... Heck, it makes Barren's Chat seem full of intellect and humour.

It'd be great if I could buy the bloody thing. ><
*Hits refresh on e-mail waiting for support ticket reply.* -
... Hell in a handcart. You do realise that even if you broke Ellie out, she'd then be wanted fugitive? That the Unity Vigil would be bound by duty to arrest her on sight? Zori couldn't even let her back home on her island without facing hellfire from the media if they caught wind.
The chaos in the Zig will cause the potential for a lot of people to get hurt, prisoners and staff. The Unity Vigil -will- face off against these attacks when they start, no matter how noble their intentions, or who is behind them. -
Zorielle is -not- busting Ellie out.
A team of five Vigilant constructs have been sent ahead to the front gates, requesting entry to the facility to get Ellie moved out of the General area of the prison, and will insist on sending two of their number to watch out for her.
Meanwhile, a team of Vigilants have been disguised as Council members, possessing stolen arms, munitions and robot support and are currently making their way to wait at the sewers exit to near the Prison, ready to strike -if- needed.
Zorielle has contacted the Unity Vigil's lawyers and are getting them into gear to back them up, and Zori is preparing to head down to the prison herself.
Any messages sent to Zorielle about breaking Ellie out of prison will be responded to with a strongly worded reprimand that the Unity Vigil will take no illegal action and will work within the boundries of the law, and that any hero who does attempt to take the law into their own hands will be flagged as criminals and dealt with accordingly.
Also, Zori's a little scathing about Richard's plan, because that could easily overwhelm the prison staff, cause injuries and risk further chaos. -
That I've spent £404.55 on subscriptions alone for City of Heroes over the course of 3 and a half years, including 5 months on a second account. Now, add in the two GvE editions for another 29.98, CoV for £29.99, CoH for £29.99, £5.99 for the wedding pack, and £23.98 on 10 slots, and that's a grand total of...£524.68.
... It -really- adds up, doesn't it? -
Rockjaw brought a -lot- of pizza for everyone on Saturday evening, out of his own back pocket IIRC. I'd call that a feast.

Around $81 for this one day event.
Omega Sektor, £25 for 4 days.
That's some value for money! -
I think one of the reasons people want to know and plan for/not for now GhostRaptor is that we like to put plans in place in advanced. I know I'd want to book my train tickets and hotel at the earliest opportunity, a friend of mine needs to book time off work, and I need to lavish gifts on my mum for being absent during her birthday. :P
This is quite the financial investment for some people. I know I'll probably blow several months checks on this, okay, I don't have that many hours at work, but still, and what with people flying over from the mainland... it's good to know that there's a good chance things won't go Pete Tong. -
Speaking of PL's, I was on a Hollows Team doing Frostfire last night, when someone on his trial asked a Warshade if their level 50 could PL them when they got the game. ._. I did my civic duty and mentioned that the journey is the important part, not getting to the top quickly, I hope they took the advice.

Cool, cool. Hoping people can make it and such, I should have some more details on Monday, as I'll drop by Battlenet while I'm up the city.
-
Alright, just got an email back from Battlenet. The manager would like to know when, how many, how long and all that sort, can offer a discount on group prices and depending on how long we're there for, and with a few days notice can get CoH installed on the PC's.
They've got 16 units there, and they did say there was room if people wanted to bring their own.
Here's a list of dates, so if people could confirm/deny them as being of interest, we can whittle away the no can do dates and find a definitive one.
October:
Saturday 4th, 11th, 25th
November:
Saturday 1st, 8th, 15th. -
I'm guessing that's the reason Guild Wars doesn't have forums, actually. There's so many different regions and languages that it'd simply be unfeasable to have a community mod for each language.
-
That's the one, yup. I don't actually know of any other gaming cafe in Norwich. If there is I'll be most surprised! Plans for eating and having a drink afterwards... well, there's a couple of food places in Chapelfield's plaza, I think there's still a Pizza Hut on Red Lion Street, just at the bottom of St. Stephens, but I haven't been there since... *counts* 1995. Wow.
And if anyone is crazy enough to drive up to Norwich, there's a Premier Travel Inn and a couple of hotels on Prince of Wales Road, I think the room rates for a single from 40-60ish a night. -
Battlenet, WinterFlare. Still waiting on a reply to my e-mail. I've not actually been there before, so I lack experience. I may have to drop in and do some gaming to get a feel for the place when I'm next in the city.
Dante: If you wish to come, then sure! The date would probably be in the aerly part of October, or the early part of November. Definitely not the weekend of the 18th October, or the weekend of 22nd November, or any time after that. -
((Dang, as much as I'd love to dress Jan Boa of Boa Personel Services up and take the snake girl out to play, I've got a hen party on that day. Ah well, hope the event goes well!))

Hey ho folks! Just a quick post before I go to bed, having struck late night inspiration while playing Dungeon Runners.
I know we've got a few forum goers that call Norwich and the surrounding area their own, and the idea was raised in the past about a player meet here, but lightning has struck again, so... who'd be interested in it?
I've just sent an e-mail off to one of the local net gaming cafes... well, the only one I know of, so may have some more details then, but I was thinking a saturday, just chilling from 10am-6pm at the place enjoying some gaming before heading off to a place to grab a drink, some food and have general chatter more or less.
So... anyone interested? -

I am absolutely flabbergasted that a german CC gets so much positive feedback from the british community..

He's our bowl of Special K. Plus he took over for a bit in moderating us when Bridger went to newer pastures, and drops in every so often.
Plus, he's a laugh in person. Fondly do I remember randomly chatting with him at Memo 06, and Omega Sektor. -
You're right, Hairness. Damn right!
If due to the shake up OmSec isn't happening as a NCE event, then we should make it our event. Get on the phone to Steven at Omega Sektor, hammer out something, and go there! -
http://kotaku.com/5047997/ncsoft-dit...riple-a-titles
From Kotaku, NCSoft West's David Reid states that they'll be dropping some of their less popular and non Triple-A titles to focus on the big guns and the upcoming PS3 games they're working on.
Ouch. Though they could always turn Dungeon Runners into a single player game, sell it for £10 or so. It'd take a little bit of work, but single player games without needing the huge backend server stuff that MMO's do might be a way to gain some profits. Or as you said Dreamweaver, licensing.
