The thing is, I've got so many characters running around that I felt the need to prune back. Adding more characters to fill the spaces will just bring the same problem back. I don't see how or why creating more when Going Rogue is Live is going to be a good idea... :/

...I've created so many Level 50 characters that I simply can't keep up with them all.
Sad to say, I decided on purging two of my characters: one 50, Wynterwylde (Ice/Mace Tanker) and one 41 Cut to the Quick (Dual Blade Scrapper). Cut had to go because I never got into Dual Blades and hadn't played him for some time.
I've still got a slew of other characters, half of whom I just log in anymore to A) keep their SG status active and B) move them from Day Job to Day Job. I'm thinking of purging more, but the ones I've got left I *do* enjoy playing... and the first five I had - Witty, Blue Volt, Greystone Aegis, Vectura, I'Exile - I'm keeping always.
I've never been one to run a character to 50 and then delete or re-roll him. Today's been kinda traumatic for me... -

Just wanted to pass along that I've recently passed the 220-702 A+ exam and with the 701 I am now fully certified to be a (crash smash electrified jolt) tech support person. So... any good jobs out there?

Quote:Now here's the topper:GREAT SHOW ALL!!!
Here are the pictures of both groups! Great job!

The first is watching your friends' oldest daughter graduate from her high school/college program.
The second is your 40th birthday.
Double whammy day. -
OHGODS I'm SOSORRY! I was off celebrating a friend's high school/college graduation and it took my whole day! And then my friends realized it was my birthday so they're insisting on taking me to the Iron Man movie tonight! My bad...

Just wanted to mention that
1) I finally passed the A+ Essentials exam
2) I'm thinking of making another Mission Architect for piracy, this time with other members of the Bloody Bay Bucs as NPCs. I'll be looking into it once we can use Dual Pistols so I can add another villain rank to the villain group I'd created... so for any Bloody Bay Bucs members, let me know if you're interested in starring in an MA!
3) I missed a lot of things on this forums, so... um... what's been going on? Can anyone update me? ;-) -
Nice job on the voice recordings.
so THAT's what Cobalt sounds like. Next time I get berated for off-topic BMT chats I can place a voice to that "Anyways..." -
From: Troy Viator, former head of Reference Services, Paragon City Libraries, Eastgate branch.
Greetings and salutations.
As you know, a few years back we in Paragon City had a few... problems with our public services (mostly they were being overrun by forces of EVIL). During the catastrophe, the city's vast public library branch system - located in Perez Park, Eastgate, Astoria, and Woodvale - fell victim to rampaging and destructive forces. Darkest of which were the Circle of Thorns, who used the chaos to raid the shelves of the evacuated and crumbling buildings and steal nearly every book in our city's collection.
Most troubling of all were the thefts of our prized and secretive Special Collections materials... which as some of you know included certain... grimoires whose titles I dare not mention here.
Now that the troubles in Paragon City have settled down - sort of - to a routine and as rebuilding efforts for some of the more damaged city neighborhoods grow, I petition the city council this day for undertakings by... special volunteers... as part of a restoration project. I hope to reclaim the lost books and resources taken from our city's libraries and re-establish a public library system with new branches located in Atlas Park, Faultline, Talos, and Peregrine Island.
While the city debates the merits of re-opening a public library system, we can at least begin efforts to reclaim the lost collection. As I mentioned, some of the books from our holdings can be... dangerous... in the wrong hands. While we've been lucky over these years that the Circle of Thorns had been too busy elsewhere to utilize most of their stolen tomes, I fear that the day will come that the more unspeakable works in their possession will come to use. The quicker we can get our books back in safe hands, the better.
I thank you for your time, and if you have any questions do ask.
UPDATE:
The city has not yet agreed to a re-opening of any new library branches, as they argue that the city college system's libraries are open to the public. However, they have approved the plan for reclaiming the lost library collection...
To all those who volunteer, if you can head over to the nearest AE building, call up the mission listings provided here and speak with me - Troy Viator AKA @Witty Librarian - about the four projects I've got in mind.
Library Restoration Project - Perez Collection (Mission ID 13088). It's low-level (8-12), dealing with gathering the collection taken from the damaged main branch that was once in Perez. Should go quickly with almost no problems...
Library Restoration Project - Hollows Recovery (Mission ID 328252). (Levels 15-20) There's been some evidence the Circle of Thorns hired the Trolls to help steal the collection, so you're bound to bump into some Orges and Calibans in some dark forboding caves.
Library Restoration Project - When Astoria Fell (Mission ID 331736). (Levels... 30-40 and 40-50 I think) While the Banished Pantheon were busy creating the darkness that consumed this neighborhood, the Circle raided our branch there and may have been involved in the disappearance of a good friend of mine... Hypathia... If you can find out what happened to her as well as the collection, let me know...
Library Restoration Project - The Final Grimoire (Mission 333557). (Levels 40-50) The good news? It looks like the Circle tried moving the more important books from Paragon City to the Rogue Isles, so you got some travel time coming up. The bad news? This might involve the darkest grimoire left to be recovered... the fabled Book With the Blue Cover...
Lemme know how these play out. Danke, and good luck! -

Budgeting issues prevent me from making any... indulgences for a while. How long is the pre-order being offered?

There's no football, for one.
Don't want to conflict with the 14th. Some people apparently have something called 'dates' or 'relationships' that have that as a key day or whatever.
And it's far enough away on the calendar to generate interest and reminder to my fellow Bloody Bay Bucs members that we are PIRATES and that all things flow to the sea. Including the rum.
Can I get a YARRRRRR? -
To all members of the Bloody Bay Buccaneers! Wittypirate wants to gather the krewe for a few Rum Runs and even a TF! Join up for a calling of piracy for Sunday Feb. 21st at 4 pm EST! Avast ye seadogs!!!
And ask the Game Devs for Shoulder Parrots and Pirate Masterminds! -
...you know, after the hell that Berman and Braga put the Trek franchise through, I can kind of... live with the idea of... oh... oh HELL NO DON'T YOU FRAKKING NERF MY SHIP, STATES!

Any other Champion server players starting up on Trek Online?
I've gotten a ship up and running (USS Esoteric) under the command of Witty@wittypirate aka Spaul cha'Thalek. I'm the guy in blue. Anyone got a Fleet up yet? -
I'd trade all my free Tailor visits for more PvE content in Villains. Like a new map or two. And Pirates! PIRATE MASTERMINDS!!! why, game devs, why do you deny us the awesomeness of Pirate MMs?! (weeps)
