A lot, but it is not really depressing. I have enjoyed every month paid, and every booster purchased, I even enjoy looking at the CoX hero clix figures I have.

Yea, I think they turned it off to push the testing of new stuff (DP) a bit harder. I have 2 I want to move, and can't seem to get them over there.

Quote:They REALLY dropped the ball in not using FR for that game. For every jaded gamer that hates FR, there are 100s of others that love it.I thought a Dungeons and Dragons MMO could rival WoW.....if they based it on the core 3.5 edition and had the campaign settings such as Forgotten Realms, Dark Sun, Eberron, et al as expansions.
But what Dungeons and Dragons online was instead turned out to be anything but.
Too bad. I would have loved to see how epic level characters would have been wailed and gnashed about from most players. I love the Epic Level Handbook, but man, some things in there are seriously overpowered.
I agree, it could have take WoW, but it didn't because of arrogant designers. -
Ya know Je, I have read many of your posts that express your love for ATI. While all of the links you give seem like good information, and you have strong arguments. My experiences in the past with ATI have been so bad I can't bring myself to give them another shot. So, if they were the last video card maker on earth, I may would give them a try again.
You bring up 2003 in another post, but that is the problem, ATI has burned a ton of bridges for many long time computer gamers. That's just my take on it. -

I would like to add my voice in saying welcome. I also suggest starting with a scrapper, then moving around to other ATs.

I would be willing to pre-purchase the complete edition. I am still going to pre-purchase what is offered, and upgrade with the online stuff purchase, but I would like to have it all at once.

This topic keeps coming us, and it is getting old. It (CoH or CoV) was iven for free, so? More people to play with is what it really did. I had both, I have bought a copy of everything CoX has offered, be it digital content, or physical content. IT supported my favorite game company.
You were not robbed. You had access to the content that you purchased for almost 3 years longer than those who did not, and you gained more people to play with when it was given away for free. Out of all the things to complain about, this is the worst I have seen, and is getting old the fastest. -
Quote:I am pretty sure that was a joke. I have heard the same thing, but it was a joke. We have several people in HUB that we pick on about it. The truth is it is just good to see new/old faces in the game.Several people plan to insult the "traitors". (Overheard this one day in PI)
I think CoX is safe. Before the monster that is WoW nothing boasted numbers like 11 mill subs. CoX is still stable by most standards. Also take a look at the games that HAVE come and gone during the life of CoX.
Tabula Rasa
Auto Assault
Hellgate London
Dungeon Runners
Those are just the ones I played. I am sure others could name even more. -
During the beta for VEATs, those wanting to make them just to take a peak in the creator could not. You had to log in as a lvl 50 character to do the unlock. I am guessing that you would have to log in as a lvl 20 hero to unlock Kheldians, not have just have had one at some point. Just my guess though.

oooooooo yes it will! Would be awesome if that led to dogs and cats (not the humanoid kind) walking the streets. Always found it odd that Paragon City, and the Rogue Isles lacked animals.

One more thing I wish it had. I would like to be able to switch characters w/o logging out.

They have already buffed kheldians lately, when used correctly they can become tank mages! If they are looked at again, then a buff to the lower level but nerf to the highers will happen!
I like my warshade as it is! Liked that i had to learn how to play it properly
WS(s) are fine, and have been. My greater concern is that the PB does need to be looked at still. But that is not here or now this is he i17 thread -
Quote:Not me. I hope with more people playing them, the devs see just how bad the PB needs work. To me level 20 EATs can only be a good thing. It'll be interesting to see how relatively new players who get to 20 will handle their new Kheldians and Arachnos Soldiers, and if we'll see a long-term increase in the number of active characters from those two ATs. And on a personal note: I'd rather the unlock not happen until 25; that way, it can at least be said that a player is halfway through the game. Just feels better to me than at 20, y'know?
The flip side is I think we will see a lot more posts about how Kheldians are "Teh suck" Which they are not, but ya know how it is. -
I love the issue. There are a few more things I would have liked to see (pool customization), but what is there is great.
I am most excited about the emotes, as I hope they are new combat stances. I will never make a character with a tail, but I am really looking forward to seeing them on others.
The best is that I will no longer have to wait for someone I trust to log on to move inf. This will speed some things up a bunch.
My biggest hope is that I can get a new video Card before it goes into beta. The nVidia 285 I want is sold out on Newegg, and will not be in till next month -
Great stuff!
I just hope we don't lose IOs, or levels when we switch. I have one toon that was made years ago, who has been looking for a way out of the isles. I would hate for him to lose power over what is pretty much an RP issue for me. -
That is all well and good, until some one starts making personal comments. I can handle people disagreeing with my opinion, once they step into personal insults (which several did) that is taking it too far. Some of these behaviors would not be tolerated in the real world, and why people can't conduct themselves with a level of maturity here is beyond me.
As for Silver_Lobo's comments, I don't blame him. If some one spoke to my wife like that in person, there would be an issue. If any of you would let your wife (the person you have pledge you life with, and who may have had your children) be spoken to this way and not step up, you should check for a spine. Is that personal enough? I am sure that may have enraged some of you, see how it feels? -
