Yes. The character copy tool has been broken again, (or, as I believe, turned off), for more than a day or two.

Do you already have characters on Test? If so how many? There was the issue of the server reset that lost track of the slots you may have 'purchased'. So you have to delete down to the original slots open up, this may be why characters are not transferring over.

Are you suggesting that the Copy IS working right now?
Have you copied a character over in the last 24 hours?
I know I have just deleted about 3 alts that I had copied in the last couple of weeks, and It will not let me copy another, even though I opened those spots.
I would love to know if it is working right now for some people, to figure out what the difference is.

No, I've not tried to copy over in the last 24 hours. It seems to be a toss of the coin if the Copy tool is up or down, can't remember how many times I've see the Mods stated that it's been restarted.
I would PM Avatea, Niv, or Mod8 about it, they're usually pretty quick on getting it restarted. (If they were on, currently I see two Rednames on at the moment.)

Ok, decided as i typed the above to delete all previously saved characters. ive also begun the copy process again. will give it the whole 30 minutes and check again. Copy in progress even as we speak.

I am getting to the point that I don't think it is broken...
I am more and more starting to think it is just turned off.
I am usually the one arguing against conspiracy theories.
But I am starting to buy this one.
And I am just starting to wish that if the Copy was not going to work, they should say so on the copy page, so I can quit repeatedly trying to copy alts off into the big void.

Yea, I think they turned it off to push the testing of new stuff (DP) a bit harder. I have 2 I want to move, and can't seem to get them over there.

Get your testing caps on, because Issue 17: Dark Mirror (including Ultra Mode!) goes into Closed Beta on March 2, 2010! This means the Training Room will be inaccessible unless you have been invited to test out the new issue. Eventually, testing will advance to Open Beta, which allows any player to poke at the shiny new stuff.

Even more reason I would like members of my active VG on test to be able to get a character or two copied now, before the doors close, so we can make sure they are promoted up so they will be able to run the VG, if they are the only ones who make it in to the beta.
and I still think they should flag that the Copy Tool is turned off when it is,
so that people don't waste their time and effort, and get frustrated.

I recently jumped back to test when Dual Pistols went open. Had a few guys there already. I've since attempted to copy new ones over to no avail. I have plenty of spots left (7 open), but nothing ever transfers. I've read about a Training Room 2, but mine is 1. I've redone the shortcut in the CoH folder and it just points to where I already am. Lost. Help.
