Quote:You destroy it by clicking on it.Okay, maybe my understanding is the problem. You said "click on the box/cauldron for completion." In the past you had to destroy the box/cauldron. Has that changed?
Bet you didn't know that clicking was so.... decimating!!! -

Next time the puzzle should be the NY Times' Saturday crossword.

And really... are the ones complaining about a gimped character for 20 hours completely alt-less? They can't play another toon for the rest of the night?
That's the easiest solution. Power gamers have Empowerment Stations and crafting the End-buffing Temp Power and Geas and binds for combining inspirations into Ends to offset the debuff. -
The Suck-up! The Sycophant! The Brown Noser! The... wait... complimentary characters or complementary?
If she's willing to buff you constantly, then a Stone Brute. You'll have fury damage plus her damage buffs; you'll have the speed buff to offset Stone slowness; and you'll be able to taunt things and survive because of Stone defense. -

Quote:I'm shocked the Rikti are alternate dimension humans because I happen to know humanity and am surprised that the Rikti are human and not the aliens I've been led to believe for 30 levels.Or unless I happened to do "The Evil Countess Crey" after this mission, since the arc assumes your character doesn't know who Julianne Thompson is. It's not "technically" a spoiler, it is a spoiler period. It's no different than, for instance, if a contact told me the Rikti were actually human before I'd even done "The Organ Grinders" or the RWZ.
I'm not shocked that Countess Crey is JT because I (nor my characters) know neither who Countess Crey is supposed to be or who JT is.
Spoiling the Rikti surprise would make me sad and angry that I missed out on the shock of the reveal. Spoiling the Countess Crey surprise would make me feel *nothing*.
OK, so, let's not use the term 'technically a spoiler' but 'an insignificant spoiler.' And the spoilation makes me go: Yeah? So what? -
You can even get some of the ritual wrong and still not get the debuff. I got "yo, dummy, starting with the spider ain't doin' nothing" text and didn't botch. You can attempt the different improvisations until you hit upon using blood and you still don't botch it.
You have to do something like use up all your coins at first or uncork the dying breath anywhere but at the end to botch it. But if you do that, then you clearly didn't read the clue which explained how to do it. -
Think of dismissing Tips as training for learning how to farm missions.

Quote:While technically spoilers, the only way our characters or ourselves could possibly even care that these are spoiled if we had some sort of prior connection to Vanessa or the Countess such that we're shocked that they're not who we thought they were.Speaking of spoilers ... I haven't run the hero side version yet, but on the villain side, DJ Zero tells you in passing that Julianne Thompson is Countess Crey. There's the setup for "The Evil Countess Crey" blown. (He also tells you that Vanessa DeVore is the leader of the Carnies, but that one has long since been spoiled by other new content.)
The story really doesn't set up these reveals as being... in any way significant. If they were originally low level mentors and contacts... yes. But, I don't see how anyone would be emotionally invested that this is spoiled. -
You can run a second instance on one computer, too. Just FYI (if your computer can handle it).

It's even better when you deliver it to Blue Steel.

20 hours of real time. So, it will be gone this time tomorrow.

Not to get in by way of a door. Yes if you have the Pocket D VIP Teleporter which doesn't 'turn on' til you're level 4.
-
Just a note: You can run a second instance of CoH on a free account (or dual box) to complete the co-op mission by oneself. You only need a level 1 toon to click on the box/cauldron for completion.
-
Yes, this was pointed out in Beta. A redname said they were going to let this stand since the Tips are easily dismissed and reacquired.
(Just the messenger.) -

Besides, I don't want to pop into Peregrine at the Ferry or the Vanguard Base or the Oportal drop-off point, or the Base Beacon drop-off point.
I want to pop into Peregrine at Portal Corp. Where 90% of stuff happens in Peregine. Where there are *portals*!!!!!
Give me something like that so I can stop running the length of the island every time I go there. -
Note: after you do Ganymede's two-mission arc (again) with the help of a villain (only needed for second mission... and dual boxing a free account works) then you go back to Ganymede for another mission. Then he'll send you to DJ Zero to become 'attuned' to Valentine Tip drops.
