From what I take of the rules the PnP game can be talked about. The PC game is a no no.
  2. The Wolverine. It also disconnects itself completely from the origin movie.
  3. Kin was made to be played with Fire.[/thread] Ice/kin corr comes close due to blaster level rain and nuke. There are other obvious picks for synergy, but if you look at what Kin is really about, Fire is the most logical pairing.
  4. The Beatles did drugs? You're kidding me!

I love the comic and I believer the concept could carry over to tv, but I have no interest in watching a plagiarized idea.
It's a rip off. Fables the actual TV show was in development and then got axed for whatever reason.

I figure there's going to be a bad scene when an elderly person who isn't fully aware starts freaking out due to a robot nurse. But hey, when I'm on my death bed please let me be interacting with some machine versus another human who has actual empathy for me. *rolls eyes*
  8. I would just go Dark epic and use the one build. I've never felt the need EMP benefits that greatly from Power Boost, or even adding in the accolade. I guess I don't feel the need for a hold to go for that long as a practical need. Unslotted it has a duration of 22.35 seconds. Same goes for Vengeance. Three slotted for def and it's going to put an end to any death after that. Have people died with the buff on them? Sure, but it's so rare that I can't imagine Power Boost changing it to where it's overly beneficial.

“Lost” exec producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis have sold their hourlong drama script “Once Upon a Time” to ABC.

Pilot, from ABC Studios, is a mix of sci-fi and fantasy with a strong mystery element. Premise is a modern-day take on fairy tales, with a female protagonist who comes from a unique background. Show takes place in a small Maine town during the present time.

Despite the fairy tale premise, show will have a strong human emotional center. Similar to “Lost,” there will be a large ensemble.

“Lost” exec producer Damon Lindelof will consult.

Horowitz and Kitsis had the idea for the show seven years ago, prior to coming aboard “Lost.” The pair, who are longtime writing partners, didn’t approach ABC with the pitch until “Lost” finished its run in May.

Besides exec producing and writing “Lost,” Horowitz and Kitsis wrote the upcoming pic “Tron: Legacy” as well as the “Tron” sequel. They’re also penning “Ouija,” the Universal pic based on the Hasbro property.
Note Fables came out 8 years ago. ABC had already tried to do a Fables TV show, but it fell through.

  10. So I checked and it's not online. What the hell... I guess I'll be waiting for it on Netflix.

    ice/rad question

Why would somebody want to play something that debuffs just about any meaningful thing a mob has? I mean, seriously.

This is all from a leveling perspective, Not when i Fully IO out my character when I hit 47.

I also heard that being an Up close debuffing defender requires you to pick up tough and weave if possible... Is it necessary? Also, what epic should i think about grabbing If i do? I was thinking dark for the possibility of getting soul drain to buff up my attacks, but im not sure whether i should be damage focused on this build, virtually what i'm asking is should i be a debuffing machine that kills very quickly, virtually a blaster with debuffs?
Slot attacks for damage. That's what they are there for. Case in point, Irradiate has a 37.5% debuff alone. RI should be slotted for tohit debuff and -def if you have slots to spare, but since you are /rad, you don't really need more -def. I've never taken tough/weave on a defender no matter how melee based they were. Rad can be on the more end hungry side even with AM due to the toggles. If you want to add in Tough/Weave, do so when only really looking at IOing out the build.

    30 Geek babies.

I read that as babes and not babies. At least I got reminded of the awesomeness that is number 20.
  16. My first character ever, Rad/rad def. The name didn't fit at all, and the build reeked of a first time player. I moved on to a new server and just left it there for the longest time. I finally considered the server dead to me and deleted it knowing I would never go back and actually play the build. I eventually did go back to the server and I rerolled it and got lucky with the name Warning Label. It might be the only time I stick to my "Never make another defender" vow. It was suppose to be my D3 since that was the last thing I really wanted for the longest time. *sigh*

Matterhorn, my Earth/storm. I rerolled it on a different server and got it to 50, but needed a different name and the name on the old server was taken.

Invul/ss tank for no other reason than the look and backstory of the character. He is a nod to blaxploitation movies. He is a super tall skinny guy who wanted to the biggest and baddest thing around. He eventually got the super powers through scientific experiments, but he looks exactly the same much to his dismay.

Highest I have deleted would be 30, but I just couldn't get into Stone/stone tanks, so there's no issue there. The only other favorite that got deleted would be my Storm/dark defender, but that got rerolled as well.

    So, what's left?

I think a melee armor set that uses debuffs, ie the debuff auras in Spirit mastery from Titian's Quest, would be interesting.
  18. If they do go blaster, I would suggest something with a good balance and some mitigation. Ice/mm is rather good and may challenge my Ice/ice as first blaster to 50. Fire/ice, or Rad/ice would be good subs. Kat/wp really is scrappers for dummies though. On a three person team, blaster, scrapper, controller would be awesome.

While it's not popular to talk about, the lack of a self heal or personal mezz protection in Cold is really noticeable relative to other sets outside of IO'ed builds. The only sets in a similar position are Storm (which can sometimes get by thanks to the sheer chaos it brings) and Trick Arrow (which... well yeah).
Storm has as good of a tohit debuff as anybody. Cold and TA's lack of personal protection is much more an issue when you are soloing. On teams they seem to be perfectly fine. And I know people solo defenders, hell, I did it a bunch on my Rad/sonic, but doing so ranks about as low as any other AT I would want to do it on.

Or you could play a Rad and debuff a mob at level 1. I'm just saying.

  22. So would they call it The Knights of the New Republic?
