I'll post a hijack here. It's almost only doing that for facebook and nothing else, but it might have popped up for something else on a rare occasion that I can't pinpoint. How do I check what add-ons I have?

I've been having the WORST problem lately and it's getting on my last nerve. I keep trying to open pages, most especially facebook it seems to be the WORST on, but I keep getting the same error message, like 20 times when I'm trying to load a page. Keeps saying something like "Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site @$#@%: Operation Aborted"
And this is after most of the page has already loaded anyways. Can someone please help me to fix this so this stops ASAP before I take a sledgehammer to my computer? -
Oh ew, that kinda stinks. And how long do they stick around for?
-
Hmm, that's odd. Would be nice to get a Dev comment on this. Otherwise, a 50 generic end redux should be pretty good in addition to the acc/dam/end from the sets. And a 50 Hold IO should be pretty well so far as is. It's part of his chain so he should be able to hold bosses with that one if he's spamming it I'd imagine.
-
Yeah that seems pretty nice. For gang war, do they all come out at once? or do they trickle out dispersed? I.E. would world of pain be easy to cast on all of them right after you call them out?
-
Yeah I testd it out last night, All I used was a DO end reduction and he didn't seem to ever run out of endurance. It's only about a 2% maybe more end redux than I have slotted there. So for most things except maybe AV fights he doesn't seem to run out of endurance anywho. Swapping one of the generic level 50 hold IOs for an EoC end/hold would definitely give it enough endurance to withstand most battles.
As far as the alpha slot, I'd go with the recharge/heal/stun pathway. The recharge for obvious reasons such as keeping HoE up more often. And for healing more. Depending how the build finalizes I might forgo some of the recharge for the to hit debuff that it also brings to stack with what /dark already has. -
Well I am liking the idea of demons/dark and thugs/pain now XD lol. But with the defense I'm also thinking thugs/ff would be good maybe better? Not sure just kinda thinking cause my demons/pain is level 27 now lol. Maybe i'd do both who knows.
-
How is crack whip not vital?? cone damage and -resistance? The -resistance alone even if it dealt no damage would make it vital for me and most people as well.
Corruption/Lash, especially thinking of things like AVs where for the most part you won't need to be doing much of anything else besides trying to get the thing killed. So the extra damage, -resistance especially too, not to mention set bonuses are going to be extremely useful.
Hell on Earth, regardless of attack slotting, you'll want more recharge on it anywho. I can see the need for endurance more on Demon Prince. But I wasn't sure if slotting end redux also reduces the endurance of THEIR powers, or just the actual endurance of casting the demon prince. I would like some clarification on that, but my initial thoughts were that it doesn't. But it's not difficult to get more end on him if that's the case. Just an end/hold level 50 essense of curare would do the trick in place of one of the holds.
and um, I DID take leadership. I took 3, the only one I didn't was maneuvers, cause I wasn't going for capped defense.
Those little buggers, yeah an Av can cripple them easy, but you're also not taking into account the many times where other people on the team will be having debuffs to keep them alive. I would not discount them. -
I'm still kinda new to non-Demon MMs. What does the bruiser do, describe the enforcers +defense and how it works. And what is the arsonist? tier 1, 2, or 3(assuming bruiser) pets? If its a small minnion of the tier 1 level 1 variety It seems to me they die a little fast.
the to hit i'm not worried about, slotting + supremecy + tactics make that a non-issue for me. I only play blueside. -
Oh yeah, also, FYI, you won't need to go for capped S/L defense, that's what your to hit debuffs in darkest night, fearsome stare (11.25% base debuff), and Dark servant and backup heals are for.
-
Firsthand, I would immediately not suggest that build, for the main reason that he didn't take Lash. And additional 10% -resistance and attack to an enemy is a big difference especially versus bosses etc. In addition to the added damage, not thaaaat huge overall for a MM, but trust me don't skip this power. Corruption is also far too minimally slotted.
Hell on Earth, also strangest slotting I've ever seen for it. You'd want more recharge first off. Second those little buggers' damage can add up, see my build for how I'd slot it. Whatever he's going for in that post (which I just rechecked, and appears to be capped S/L defense), is one of the most whacked out things i've seen for how to get there. Crack whip as well, mega get that earlier and slot it. -Resistance to the mob, aoe damage, should be taken much much earlier. For teams or solo, you want it, and want it slotted.
I'd much further suggest looking at something closer to my build, which is cheaper as well and personally much more effective. You'll be in bodyguard mode, with lots of debuff and control and heals, you should not be having any issues:

I have been playing my demons/pain MM lately and have been having fun. But only recently realized that most of the aoe and damage sadly comes from the minnions, and not the Demon prince. So as pain, it seems that it would be better to pain demons with dark, who is better at keeping the little ones alive to get the most out of their aoe damage no?
What are your thoughts on the matter? What reasons would you suggest one over the other? Likewise, if I wanted a pain, what would be a better suggestion for a MM primary to pair it with? Or do you think that demons makes the best use out of /pain? -
Ok thanks! Everything checks out working well. The new ram is actually better than what I had installed prior, higher MHz

Quote:Ok but bottom line is that if it's saying that that I did put them in properly and they're being used? From 2-4 gigs. How can I make sure everything is ah-ok?Sounds like you are using a 32-bit operating system like XP or 32-bit Vista or Windows 7. Due to the way the PC is designed, devices like video cards, hard drive controllers, etc. gets first dibs on memory addresses. Any unused memory addresses are available to system memory. Since a 32-bit OS can only has 4GB of memory addresses, you will end up with less than 4GB of system memory even if you stick 4GB into your system. Commonly you will end up with 3-3.5GB depending.
However if you ever upgrade to a 64-bit OS, you will see all 4GB. -
I just put in 2 more gigs of ram, when I check my system though it's only showing just over 3 gigs it looks like. Can anyone help me to make sure I installed them both properly and they are being used properly?
-
The -rech on shiver is good, but especially when you're controlling other things and healing/buffing etc, its annoying that it's duration is so short and for some reason it's recharge is so long to start, especially when the blaster version is beyond perma with a short recharge to start, 12s vs 30 seconds for the controller version. Granted the controller version is stronger but that has only to do with AT differentials. Other than that it makes no sense that the controller version is so borked on it's stats. Its rech should be at least 15 seconds with its duration bumped up to 30 seconds.
-
As to someone mentioning shiver needing a boost, I don't think it needs an immobilize, I just think it needs a shortened recharge/increased duration adjustment.
-
Quote:It's more for slotting slows into the set, and getting a little bit of range and end redux in there as well.I'm curious if this question is raised regarding a particular set bonus in one (or several) of the sets, or just overall curiosity.
It, for my purpose is only requiring one more slot, 2 50 IOs, and a tempered readiness slow/range, and end/rech/slow. The slows make a difference when fighting anything over even level. AA, you're forcing melee, and Shiver, can miss, or maybe you're held and can't fire it, or maybe you get a bad fire, whatever, point being, it would be worth it to slot the power for slow, just like I do to quicksand. And would be a spot for a tiny 1.5% recovery bonus the way I'd be using it at least. And the little bit of range with that slotting and end redux is just nice QoL for just the one added slot while still keeping its recharge at the cap.
Same goes for ice patch for tanks/blasters, should accept, not just slow sets, but slow enhancements in general. -
Going to assume that there truly is no reason for this except for oversight and hope that a dev sees and fixes the issue promptly. Thank you.
-
There is no downtime between the 3 cones in my build, doesn't require you to swap sides, and this is before the build is actually finalized with recharge bonuses, and without any incarnates.

For starters, if you're already using the lotg 7.5% in the ally shields, you might as well use a lotg defense IO with it to get the 10% regeneration bonus especially since as a /cold you don't have a self heal.
You'll also want to slot infridgidate a bit more. It doesn't need much, but you'll at least for sure want at least one accuracy in it.
Arctic fog. It has decent resist values, but with the ice shields, I'd slot it for defense to push those further.
Static Field. I generally avoid purple sets, but the sleep purple set is fairly cheap considering the rest, I'd definitely 5 slot it with the purple, minus the proc.
Frostwork, is another place for decent regeneration bonus. If you're only 3 slotting it, I'd go with 3 numinas. A heal/rech, heal/end/rech, and an end/rech. That way you're getting the 12% regeneration bonus and the 1.88% max hp bonus.
Sleet, it only has a chance for damage every 10 seconds, so I wouldn't bother with a damage proc in it. And it's damage is low, so I wouldn't bother with any actual damage slotting either. Just 4 slots I'd give it. 2 level 50 recharge IOs, and a tempered readiness slow/range and an end/rech/slow IO.
Heat loss, it's not worth 6 slotting EA's in, I'd do 2 EAs, and then 2 P-shifters to max it's stats, that 5% recharge out of the EA's isn't worth the lower slotting of the actual power.
You're also missing snowstorm, which is a VERY useful power. I wouldn't skip that ever, get it early on asap, it only needs even just the base slot for an end redux, but is very useful.
Conserve power and powerboost, with 2 level 50 common recharge IOs in them, you'll hardly notice that 3rd recharge much at all. I'd only 2 slot those powers, and put those slots elsewhere at the minimum. Conserve power, with conductive aura, and heat loss, you should hardly EVER need anyways, so I'd leave that as just the base slot for a recharge IO.
Chain fences, again, the damage is low enough that slotting for damage is not worth it. I can understand wanting the positrons blast set bonuses, but i'd rather suggest slotting it for trap of the hunter, which is much cheaper, and improves the actual immobilize and other stats of the power.
Benumb, also, with it's recharge/duration, is really only worth it very later on for AVs, I always put it off for more important things till the end.
You're also way too overexpecting the procs on health/stamina and expecting that you're end is really going to be that poor. It shoudln't be that bad again. slot them properly.
Also Temporary Invulnerability. While it may be worth picking up, slot-wise, it's good with it's base slot for it's use, but if you need those slots elsewhere, don't feel bad about not slotting the power. -
In general, assuming you're fire/kin is for farming, you'd want the recharge. Secondly, if you're invuln/SS is hurting for endurance, you did something wrong.
