Web page messup

I've been having the WORST problem lately and it's getting on my last nerve. I keep trying to open pages, most especially facebook it seems to be the WORST on, but I keep getting the same error message, like 20 times when I'm trying to load a page. Keeps saying something like "Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site @$#@%: Operation Aborted"

And this is after most of the page has already loaded anyways. Can someone please help me to fix this so this stops ASAP before I take a sledgehammer to my computer?

The only thing that I can think of is that some type of 'nasty' has hijacked your internet settings...this happened to me a while back. You could check and see what 'add-ons' you have and perhaps disable some that don't look familiar. Also, try putting your Internet back to the default settings and see how that works. Has anything shown up after running an anti-virus/root-kit/malware scan? You might post a HiJackThis report here...threr could be some clues for a solution there..Good luck!

I'll post a hijack here. It's almost only doing that for facebook and nothing else, but it might have popped up for something else on a rare occasion that I can't pinpoint. How do I check what add-ons I have?

Wind, you have a lot of toolbars and extra 'stuff' running that you might want to shut down/delete...this might be causing conflicts with each other

Are you running Windows Defender, Symantic AND Avast?

Well there is the google one which got downloaded automatically when I installed something. It did that before that toolbar though. Um, defender I think and avast. Both come back clean, well avast at least I think defender is automatic but I never see anything from it.

Try downloading Malwarebytes or another antispyware utility (such as Spyboy Search & Destroy or Adaware), run a scan, and remove any nasties they find (most antivirus software won't detect that sort of malware).

Also, any reason you're still running IE7? IE 8 was released quite a while ago, and IE9 was released several days ago- each one has drastically improved security (something IE is not known for), and increased compatibility with web standards (something web designers around the world rejoice). Personally, I wouldn't touch Internet Explorer with a 10 foot pole, I just hate it... but if you like it, you can keep using it. Popular alternatives to IE include: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Opera. I personally use Opera and Google Chrome (Chrome has by far the best auto-updater of any software out there).

Google: Learn to use it.

The very first result for "internet explorer operation aborted" this this Microsoft KB article about IE7: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927917

Quote:
[...]Answer: Internet Explorer 7 cannot display a particular element on a Web page on that Web site.

How do I fix this problem?
The easiest way for you to fix the problem is to upgrade to Internet Explorer 8. This problem no longer occurs in Internet Explorer 8.
More specifically:
Quote:
This problem occurs because a child container HTML element contains script that tries to modify the parent container element of the child container. The script tries to modify the parent container element by using either the innerHTML method or the appendChild method.
And they even provide some workarounds if you either don't want to or can't upgrade to IE8.

Hmm i'll check that out, honestly I didn't know what version of IE I had i figured it auto-updated. It does that like 2-20 times, but then works after that, so it wasn't making any sense at all why it would work some times but not others.
