Union & Virtue accessible to two Hemispheres' worth of RPers?! It's gonna be a blast!!!
-
Quote:Claws: Don't seem very SMASH...Could you elaborate more? What are your goals? What kind of advice are you seeking?
Dual Blades: More SLASH than SMASH...
How do we generate Fury with these things?
War Mace & Battle Axe: A little...slow? Slow attacks aren't conducive to Fury generation. -
Returning player. Three 50 Brutes under my belt (EM/WP, SS/EA, Elec/Stone).
I have concerns about the power selection available:
Claws?
Battle Axe?
Dual Blades?
War Mace?
And secondaries:
Super Reflexes?
Shield Defense? -
I just re-subbed after a four year hiatus about 20 days ago. I promised myself, that this time around I would have one character focus all my efforts on that one character!
I now have:
* lvl 27 Warshade who I switched to Redside...But I can't log into. Submitted a few tickets...
* lvl 22 Kin/EA Brute - Meh.
* lvl 14 Mind/Psi Dom - I really, really want a Mind/Psi!
* lvl 6 Rad/Pain Corr
On top of what I had before:
* lvl 50 SS/EA Brute - Who I don't play anymore
* lvl 50 EM/WP Brute - Who is pretty awesome, switched him to Rogue. Thinking of going all the way to Hero and back again
* lvl 50 Fire/WP Scrapper - Also awesome. Focused on getting him Vigilante status
* lvl 45 Ice/Kin Corr - Meh.
* lvl 44 Elec/Stone Brute - Awesome
* lvl 30 Peacebringer - Meh.
EDIT: lvl 50 Huntsman - Meh.
And others I can't remember... -
Nef rules the air. Flier battles are always epic. I had a blast!
You had me worried a bunch of times, Tramontane. For some reason, whenever I was Stunned or Held, my major +regen toggle would drop and I wouldn't notice for a bit!
I'm sure everyone who Nefarios was pwning will switch tables in the high level RP PvP Event(s). I don't have any toons with anything more than common IOs. -
I'll probably transfer a few of my lesser played characters over to Union. Any great VGs looking to recruit?
-
Nooo! You should have told me you were going to do a VS. shot!!
Bah.
And I'm only in one pic!!
Nefarios Ghast will have a rematch. -
I always miss these! CC's are part of my associations with City!
<3 Costume Contests! -
Quote:I see the Angry Angels everywhere. Good to see some old school SG/VGs still around!Welcome back, old man.
Apex - most folks I know have their time split between the incarnate trials and weekly strike targets... so there's plenty of teams when Apex -is- the weekly strike target. Give me some notice and I'll run one with you.
I even see male toons in the Angels!! -
Is there any way for me to find out if I have an Item Pack or which version of GR I bought? I'm pretty sure I have a few of the Mutant Costume pieces, but I don't remember any of the emotes...
-
Nefarios Ghast will be there to lead the Villains of the Rogue Isles to glorious victory over the tyranny of the Heroes!
(Probably freespec to make him more effective at that level! ) -
I re-subbed for the Issue, but not necessarily for the Incarnate Trials. If I can't raid in WoW, I can't raid here.
I'm enjoying all the other aspects of the game, though. Having a blast re-acquainting myself with my very first MMO (CoV). Like walking...Or running...Or flying...Or 'porting down Memory Lane! -
*grumbles*
Stupid Johnny Turbo....Always gets the good stuff...There goes his ego!

Grats, JT! -
I really want to see this! I liked the first two, when I watched them the first ten times!
Honestly, though, with these movies, the positives (Transformers!, more or less realistic, true to the cartoon, etc.) outweigh the negatives (Mudflaps & Skids, Devastators "balls") ehough for em to enjoy the them (movies).
It looks like I'll be seeing it alone, though, as my boyfriend abhors Michael Bay (too many helicopters, I guess). -

I'm a (returning) Veteran but my account was only reactivated last week. Am I still eligible for the 7th Year Rewards?

Why is Flux Vector QQing in my thread? Stop hijacking my thread with your whining!
So, I went Human-Dwarf with my last freespec and regretted it after one mission. I kept thinking like my Warshade - in that I wanted to be Range or Melee depending on the environment, as Smiling Joe said.
Oh well. I'll focus on my WS for now - Lots more fun, actually. :P When I was playing CoH back in 2007 I felt more Peacebringer-y. Now I'm feeling more Warshade-y. -
Well, my PB is currently Human-Dwarf.
I just want to be a good, capable Kheldian! -
-
Quote:I have a SS/EA Brute, EM/WP Brute, Elec/Stone Brute...It's pretty obvious that I don't pick power combinations based on effectiveness...I play them because they are fun and they fit concepts.Someone who plays a kheldian well would do even better with nearly any other character, because the other character is statistically stronger (in the case of PBs), or more straightforward and with fewer limitations (in the case of warshade).
You aren't excelling to anything by playing a kheldian. Rather, you're playing little-league baseball in the same stadium as a major league team (the other ATs). No matter how good your little league team is, the big guys are going to beat you.
I'm perfectly happy with mediocrity. -
Quote:Yep. I know. I have several 50s, all with generic IOs and a few set bonuses. Like, maybe, three, max. Unfortunately, I just don't have the time to dedicate to playing any game (WoW, Rift, CoH) to get "OMGWTF Uber powerful" characters. I'm quite content with mediocrity.If you don't do IO sets, you're never going to get close to a high end build like you are noting here. They use IO sets to squeeze the most from those powersets, and IOs really do help out Kheldians to build better, as they are slot starved and love lots of recharge.
Do you HAVE to use IO sets? No, you can do fine without them, if you so choose. Plasma's guide in the guide section will still help you out here, if you want. And you can make a decent tri-form Peacebringer with just general IOs or SOs. Just realize you're not going to be up there with an IO build... those bonuses really do add up a lot to improve a build.
Quote:Tri-form Peacebringers are pretty fun. You can adapt for your team (I tank, blast, or scrap for my team, depending on what they need at the time... even better, you can do this in the middle of a battle) and do a lot of different things. I was on an ITF recently with mine, and it was great to mow down a huge swath of Cimerorans with a couple blasts from Nova, then switch over to scrapping for taking down a Minotaur or something. Good times.
One note on tri-forming. As you level up, don't spread your slots too much between the forms. Focus on one, get it slotted up well, then move on. Plasma's guide notes this, and it helped me a lot when leveling. I focused on Nova first, then Dwarf, then human (though some key human powers like the heals, build up, etc. got some attention as I worked on the other forms). If you don't focus, your slots get too spread out, and you can't do any one thing particularly well. Going Nova, Dwarf, Human works well, since blasting makes things a lot easier in the early levels: the Blaster AT kind of has it easier at those levels than most other ATs, I would say. Nova rather mimics that.
